    Family and friends of Flint police Officer Vincent D’Anna watched grimly as Ramon Felix Pineda, 25, was arraigned before Oakland County District Judge Kelley Kostin in Clarkston. Kostin ordered Pineda, an illegal immigrant from Mexico who has lived in the United States for 12 years, held without bond in the Oakland County Jail.

    Pineda also is charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated causing death, failing to stop at the scene of a serious injury accident causing death and driving while his license suspended. He faces up to life in prison if convicted.
    Pineda’s attorney, Arthur Greenstone of Clarkston, argued that Pineda should be released on bond because he has a family and a job in the area and shouldn’t be considered a flight risk.

    But Oakland County Assistant Prosecutor Kelly Chard and an official from the county’s pre-trial services department noted that Pineda is a Mexican citizen who gave authorities several aliases, did not give them a permanent address or employer and has never held a valid driver’s license.
    Somebody puleeeeeze explain to me how a person is allowed to live in this country ILLEGALLY FOR 12 YEARS, STATUS IGNORED AND HAVE A (SUSPENDED) DRIVERS LICENSE and nobody bothers to deport him prior to killing an American citizen?

    How do you explain insanity .... There is no reason or logic for this. Our government is a complete mess. Bush is only thinking about the middle east while our country falls apart. He will go down as the worst president in history.

    Finally some sense in the mayhem and destruction. I contend NO BOND ever be offered for ANY crime committed by an illegal alien that is a jailable offense. NO BOND + HELD In DETENTION = certain DEPORTATION.
