I tried posting a comment. A guy in San Rafael posted and they are getting tired of it there too. San Rafael is a beautiful city. Look out San Rafael its on it's way to look exactly like Santa Ana CA.

Where is MADD on this issue of illegals and drunk driving. This type of drunk driving is especially offensive and 100% preventable because these drunk drivers should not even be in this country!

I think this is a good idea. We need to call the district attorney and the attorney general of California. It's time our voices are heard.

This is just horrible. Makes me wonder about the magnitude of anger John Clark must have towards IA's now.

MADD has only made a very feeble effort to educate "immigrant" communities about drunk driving. They need to step up to the plate. Perhaps people in John Clark's community can start contacting MADD and work on behalf of his children and his family to get their local MADD chapter to deal with this.

Where is La RAZA, LULAC , and the Mexican Consulates and El Salvadoran consulates using their funds to deal with the drunk driving issue in their community...boy that would be a step in the right direction. They sure don't support any programs to make their citizens become better residents and assimilate...all they do is to support programs and initiatives for them to take whatever they can get from our local, state and federal government without any regard to being a good citizen in this country, including learning about our laws and how we expect people to comport themselves in OUR society.

Assimilation Classes should include lessons on being "good neighbors"
such as

1. Trash collection/reccyling
2. basic property maintenance (outside/inside)
3. avoid disturbance of the peace (loud music, outside parties)
4. know curfew laws for minors and respect them
5. alcohol conumption, legal limits, underage drinking, open container laws, etc.

Can anyone add to this?

Hearing delayed for driver in crash where woman lost her legs

The man charged with felony driving under the influence in an incident that cost a Napa woman her legs will face the first significant court hearing in the case next month.

Francisco Pacheco, 24, was to appear in court Thursday. But the case was rescheduled because accident reports from the California Highway Patrol have not been completed, according to Napa County Chief Deputy District Attorney John Goold, who is prosecuting the case.
Pacheco is accused of crashing his car into the bumper of a car belonging to Lilian Clark, 38, on South Terrace Drive on Feb. 3.

Clark was standing at the rear of her car when Pacheco’s Plymouth smashed into it, pinning her between the two cars. Clark, a mother of two, had to have her legs amputated above the knees.

In addition to felony DUI, Pacheco has also been charged with felony hit and run for leaving the scene of the accident.

Pacheco does not have a valid driver’s license or insurance. He is in the United States illegally, according to county jail staff, and is in custody without bail on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold.

Court proceedings to determine if Pacheco will be deported to his native country have been put on hold pending the outcome of his criminal case.

" It is time that we enforce our laws concerning illegal immigration. If our country delivered a zero tolerance message to illegal immigrants maybe we could slim down this problem. I say that if you come here illegally and get caught we ship you right back to where you came frome and you lose any chance of ever becoming a citizen in this country. I bet that we are laughed at every day in Mexico for our stupidity when it comes to illegal immigration. What other country would allow people from another country to come in and steal, break laws while receiving social benefits that should go to legal citizens. Our schools are a joke and I am tired of my tax dollars supporting non-citizens. Again, where are our elected officials. Do you hear us we want you to stand up and make a difference. "
