So I don't buy your contention that reducing personnel and hiring lower skilled, cheaper doctors and personnel is acceptable. What they get doesn't cover what it costs, so they have to over-bill those they can squeeze money out of. We get lower quality care for a higher price!

Never said it was acceptable, just said it is a reality.

Some hospitals can't make it with smaller payments from insurers but some are grossly mismanaged too. That is why other hospitals take over and bingo, back in business.

Hospitals charge the max for services if you want to pay your bill yourself but will take 50% or more less from an insurance company for the same procedure. Any bill unpaid, or refused payment by an insurer, is on you and the hospital will put a lien on your property.

If you have reached your coverage limit with your insurer and you need a cancer drug, you need cash if you want further treatment. Know of one case where $2500 cash per pill was needed for cont'd treatment and it requires 2 pills. No guarantee they will work either.
Same for treatments they won't cover. Unfortunately our seniors have limitations - medicare will not pay for certain things. Open borders ryan is pushing for cutting back medicare & SS.

Have heard of liver transplants for illegals. Very costly and any kind of transplant requires ongoing drugs.

A pregnant woman cannot be refused by any hospital in USA. They also get free pre-natal care too. It is a bonanza for the illegals - Americans pay for all their kids birthing, healthcare, schooling, dental, special classes etc. ALL FREE FOR THEM.
