Border Patrol agents apprehended a Guatemalan man in Raymondville on Saturday afternoon, when they found him locked in a large metal toolbox.

Agents assigned to the Kingsville Border Patrol Station stopped a pickup truck at about 1 p.m. Saturday, according to a news release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The driver stopped the truck and fled.

After the truck stopped, agents searched the vehicle. They discovered a Guatemalan man locked inside a large metal toolbox in the truck bed, according to the news release.

Agents offered the man medical attention, but he declined.
