Wow! US Government Announces $10.6 Billion in Aid to Mexico and Central America — But ZERO DOLLARS for Border Wall

The United States on Tuesday pledged a total of $10.6 billion to Mexico and Central America.


This comes on the same day White House spokesperson Sarah Sanders announced there will be no shutdown over border wall funding.



The AP reported:

The United States pledged $5.8 billion in aid Tuesday for strengthening government and economic development in Central America, and another $4.8 billion in development aid for southern Mexico.


The U.S aid aims to promote better security conditions and job opportunities as part of a regional plan to allow Central Americans to remain in their countries and not have to emigrate.


The plan was announced in a joint U.S.-Mexican statement released by the State Department and read aloud by Mexican Foreign Relations Secretary Marcelo Ebrard in the Mexican capital.
“In sum I think this is good news, very good news for Mexico,” Ebrard said.

There are currently at least four illegal migrant caravans on their way the US southern border with Mexico.






One of the latest caravans working its way up through Mexico to the US with help from liberal activist groups is ENORMOUS!

Read it carefully, it says "pledged". It will have conditions, "security conditions". It's carrots and sticks. Stop the illegal immigration into our country from yours or we'll pull the aid.

They do not abide by any CONDITIONS.

They are liars and thieves! They need to take back the 25 million already here!

GET THEM OFF OUR SOIL!

Then the money will sit in our accounts until they meet the conditions, whatever they are. But the statement clearly states "security conditions" on Mexico's southern border and I imagine the same applies to the Guatemala border with Honduras. I sure hope so, anyway.

Enough of the excuses!

Nobody but Trump has ever threatened to pull aid from these countries and we've seen how weak Trump's threats are.

Nope, your plan 'B' never was a possibility and the pledge of over 10 billion American dollars proves that! This has nothing to do with carrots and sticks but everything to do with a bunch of week kneed politicians with no cojones! If the had any guts the 10 billion wouldn't have been committed under the current circumstances. You don't give someone a carrot with a plan to turn around and take it from them after they've already nibbled half of it away. What you do is dangle the carrot as an incentive for the action you desire .... action complete.... here's your carrot.

When we can all admit that, then all that is happening begins to make sense.

Absolutely outrageous. I knew we would continue to dump money into this countries, but I didn't expect it to be so much!
