Nope, your plan 'B' never was a possibility and the pledge of over 10 billion American dollars proves that! This has nothing to do with carrots and sticks but everything to do with a bunch of week kneed politicians with no cojones! If the had any guts the 10 billion wouldn't have been committed under the current circumstances. You don't give someone a carrot with a plan to turn around and take it from them after they've already nibbled half of it away. What you do is dangle the carrot as an incentive for the action you desire .... action complete.... here's your carrot.

Then on Tuesday — the same day the Trump administration announced they will not shut down the government over border wall funding — the government announces $10.6 billion in aid to Central America and another $4.8 billion to Mexico.

So it has to be asked?

Was this a reward?

What do working Americans have to do to get such a payday?

We (our government) are just idiots. No plan or aid since 1986 has done anything to effectively begin to turn this situation around. We keep getting millions more people who are a threat to the nation, many illiterate, non-English speaking, unskilled, poor, criminals included. We keep repeating the rewarding of nations for invading us, for doing things unlawful and criminal.


Illegal aliens hit the jackpot coming and going. They live the free life here and get to send billions and billions out of the country to reward other countries even more while ruining so many American lives.

When they get to vote, and in my opinion they will when democrats regain complete control, President Trump and his administration will have contributed to their success and to the efforts to fundamentally transform the nation.

Visa overstays should be easy to find and remove. Little is being done.

Hi stoptheinvaders. The use of the word "idiots" is meant in the sense of making foolish and unwise decisions as it relates to illegal immigration and border protection in particular. No doubt, you are correct they are not dumb in the least as they have been successful in increasing their personal wealth and power.

Not that it really matters but it's $10.6 billion total, $5.8 billion to Central America and $4.8 billion to Mexico. This the same money that was announced a couple of months ago that Trump put a hold on. Don't you remember? This is just the State Department Official announcement about the funds. Trump still has a hold on it so far as I know. Maybe he will soon release it, because they tried feebly to stop the caravans and were over-run. DemoQuacks were wailing that Trump didn't have the authority to withhold it, that it had been appropriated by Congress and should be dispensed according to the spending law.
