President Obama's "green jobs czar" is co-founder of a black activist organization that has led a campaign prompting major advertisers to withdraw from Glenn Beck's top-rated Fox News Channel program.

In recent weeks, Beck has done several critical segments about Van Jones, who was appointed as the special adviser for green jobs, enterprise and innovation at the White House Council on Environmental Quality.

Beck's segments were based in part on WND's reporting that Jones was as an admitted radical communist and black nationalist leader.

Now Colors of Change, an activist organization seeking to "strengthen Black America's political voice" has led a furious campaign against Beck culminating in major companies such as Geico and Lawyers.com pulling their spots from the Fox News star's daily show. The group also says it has garnered about 75,000 signatories for an online petition against Beck to be sent to advertisers.

I am sometimes appalled at how easily American businesses are intimidated by black racist groups. What's that all about? Don't these companies know that they are just removing themselves from large numbers of potential customers of all colors?

I just don't get it.

Is President Obama's age 52? His MySpace page declares his age as 52, thus putting his birth year at 1957, two years before Hawaii achieved U.S. statehood.

If President Obama were indeed born in Hawaii, was it while the islands were a territory of the United States?

A new wrinkle in the dispute over his birth – and whether he is eligible to be president under the U.S. Constitution's requirement that the president be a "natural born" citizen – appeared today when Obama's official MySpace page declared his age is 52, thus placing his birth year at 1957 instead of 1961 as has been claimed.

That would mean he would have been born during the archipelago's time as a territory of the U.S., the islands' status from about 1900 until statehood in 1959.

The birth year also conflicts with campaign and other White House information that have discussed his 48th birthday this month.

Obama's personal web page, BarackObama.com, has numerous links to related sites including Facebook and MySpace, confirming that MySpace.com/barackobama is the president's page on MySpace.

Even when one puts the words "MySpace" and "Barack Obama" into search engines such as Google, the top result is the same page and indicates: "Official profile page for Barack Obama includes his blog, blurbs, news clips, videos and comments from his MySpace friends."

Obama's Facebook listing does not display his age, but shows his date of birth as Aug. 4, 1961.

A WND request to the White House for comment did not generate an immediate response.

It was the Associated Press that reported on Aug. 4 Obama was having Senate Democrats to lunch because "it's the president's birthday and Chuck E. Cheese was booked."

AP credited Obama with being the nation's third youngest president who turned 48 this month.

Interestingly, a check of the Internet archive "Wayback Machine" finds that on April 10, 2007, Obama had his age listed as 45 on MySpace, which would be correct if, in fact, he had been born in August 1961 as has been trumpeted.

I have been on vacation for the past couple of weeks and did not have the opportunity to give a reply to a post by Freedom First regarding the marital status of Obamas parents and the affect it would have on his citizenship

We have checked with a relative who is a solicitor (lawyer) in Northern Ireland. In 1961, if Obamas parents were not legally married two things would have to happen to get the automatic citizenship. 1) Obama sr's name MUST appear on the birth cert and 2) There is at least ONE witness to Obama sr having acknowledged paternity either privately or publicly. The latter does not have to be in writing, but signing the divorce papers acknowledging Obama is his son fully would fulfill this requirement.

Once these requirements have been met, Obama citizenship status would be the same as if they were legally married at the time of his birth.

I missed something from your comments. Exactly which citizenship would Obama Jr have if the requirements had been met? British or U.S.?

Sorry, been on the road for two days and I guess I wasn't clear. He would have had duel citizenship if born in the USA, just like he would have if his parents were married. If he was born in Kenya, he would have strictly British/Kenyan citizenship. Basically, we know requirement two was met, so if Obama sr shows up as dad on BC, no matter where he was born, he would not have the natural born status. IF he was born in the USA and either no father, or an American father is listed, he is an American based on the fact that that is the only citizenship he could have.
