    Let’s break this down:

    1. Warrantless roving wiretaps: check – Patriot Act

    2. Entrapment of supposed terrorists threats : check -FBI done again and again many times over
    ...
    3. Extrajudicial killings: check – Obama’s secret kill committee meeting every Tuesday with Obama personally involved in the decision

    4. Strip searches with any arrests: check – Supreme Court Decision allowing anyone who is arrested for any reason to be strip searched (you better make a full stop at that stop sign, or else…)

    5. Naked scanners: check – TSA at most airports and now train and bus stations too. Soon enough they’ll be at sporting events, theaters and shopping malls. Hey, better safe than sorry, right?

    6. Social Network Monitoring: check – we all know the story on that one.

    7. Domestic Drone Usage: check – H.R. 658, already passed by Congress and signed by Obama; we’ll have 30,000 drones spying on Americans by 2020.

    8. Police Department Militarization: check – The Pentagon donated $500 million of military equipment to local police departments all across the US. Hundreds of police officers are sent to Israel to train with the Mossad.

    9. Indefinite Detention: check – 2012 NDAA and now the 2013 NDAA just passed in the House.

    10. Torture: check – just Google it, it’s been done at Guantanamo and other black sites around the world and plenty has been written about it.

    12. Nationalization of industries: I’m having trouble with this one. For all the money given in the bailouts, it should have been, but wasn’t. No stipulations were even given. They just got the money with no strings attached. Not even strings regarding multi-million dollar bonuses to failing CEO’s…

    13. Criminalization of Protest: check – if the thousands of arrests and brutal beatings of protesters and activists is not sufficient, take a look at H.R. 347 – passed by Congress and signed into law by Obama, it will go into effect on January 1, 2013.

    The Globalization of War

The "Military Roadmap" to World War III The Globalization of War: The "Military Roadmap" to World War III

The Pentagon’s global military design is one of world conquest.
    ...

The military deployment of US-NATO forces is occurring in several regions of the world simultaneously.

The concept of the “Long War” has characterized US military doctrine since the end of World War II. The broader objective of global military dominance in support of an imperial project was first formulated under the Truman administration in the late 1940s at the outset of the Cold War.

Bush Senior’s slanted vision of a “New World Order” as a reference point for how dramatically the world has changed in the intervening 20 years of the so-called post-Cold War era, and in particular how unilaterally degenerate the contemporary international conduct of the US has become under the Clinton, G. W. Bush Junior and Obama administrations.

We are dealing with a global military agenda, namely “Global Warfare”. Far from a world of peaceful cooperation, we are living in a dystopian world of permanent wars – wars that are being waged in flagrant contravention of international law and against public opinion and interest.

Far from a “new era more secure in the quest for peace” we may see a world more akin to George Orwell’s 1984, dominated by perpetual conflict, insecurity, authoritarian surveillance, doublethink and public mind control. The Globalization of War: The "Military Roadmap" to World War III

We have arrived at a terrible place. The government no longer exists for the people, but to prey on the people. Petty crimes without victims are cracked down upon with police state brutality. Corporations, banks in particular, are calling all the shots, and they openly defy a legal system that no longer applies to them.

To make it worse, the corporations are being run by insane gamblers who se...
em determined to destroy everything in order to satisfy their gambling fix.

Things are so broken that comparisons to the late Roman Empire no longer seem like hyperbole. The system is long past the point of being able to fix itself. No amount of regulators will change things if the regulators won't uphold the law. No amount of fines will change things if the fines are only token amounts, without prosecutions. Only a determined, global, grassroots movement willing to defy police repression can change the system.

“Obamacare was almost the perfect example of politics in the Bubble Era, where the time horizon for anyone with real power is always close to zero, long-term thinking is an alien concept, and even the most massive and ambitious undertakings are motivated entirely by short-term rewards. A radical reshaping of the entire economy, for two election cycles’ worth of campaign cash – that was what this b...ill meant. It sounds absurdly reductive to say so, but there’s no other explanation that makes any sense.”

― Matt Taibbi, Griftopia: Bubble Machines, Vampire Squids, and the Long Con That Is Breaking America
    ________

Jonathan Gruber, the MIT economist who helped design both Romneycare and Obamacare, said today on a conference call organized by the liberal Center for American Progress Action Fund that Obama’s penalty will affect only a tiny portion of Americans. “The Congressional Budget Office estimates that about one percent of the population will end up paying this penalty. This not a broad new tax on the middle class. It is trivial. It is four, the CBO estimates it is $4 billion in revenues from this penalty. That is trivial relative to the almost $100 billion that you would get in [subsidies], once it’s phased in, in new tax credits to individuals to buy health insurance. So this is on net this an enormous tax cut for the middle class. This is not a tax increase,” he explained. How Romneycare is like Obamacare on taxes - Salon.com
    ________

*Note: I thought this picture was quite clever.

At first glance, Obamacare is promising. Unfortunately, once you delve into it, the reality of it is not quite as peachy.

I added Matt Taibbi's words from Griftopia, a book every American should read.

Almost 3,000 pages worth of law, with the Insurance Industry in the driver's seat simply doesn't promise a good ending.

Michael Moore called Obamacare a step in the right direction. I hope he's right.

Just to clarify: This is NOT Universal Health Care.

    1) Yes, most industrialized nations have "socialized medicine".
    2) Obamacare is NOT "socialized medicine"
    3) If it's such a great plan then how come congress has exempted themselves from participating?
    4) It created 16,000 new jobs for the internal revenue service *This should be a red flag.
    5) Our leaders have continued to bailout fraudulent institutions & have led us into endless wars & debt, so at this point, what makes you believe that they've finally gotten something right??? Seriously, think about that.
    6) I think that most of us here understand that true "socialized medicine" would be a good thing. However what makes you think that the U.S. version is going to be anything close to European countries? This is actually an expansion of the gov't. One of the biggest ever.
    7) IMO, it also hides the corruption of big Pharma, & makes them even less responsible for the poison that they sell, while repressing natural treatments that work. The Truth About Obamacare - Sally C. Pipes - Google Books ~ Jay Balfe
    _____

Dr Milton Wolf, Washington Times columnist, diagnostic radiologist and Pres Obama's cousin asks, "If Obamacare is such a great law, why does the White House keep exempting its best friends from it? If some Americans deserve exemption from a bad law, then all Americans do."

The now-familiar monthly trickling down of new waivers is, at best, a tacit admission that Obamacare is a failure. So far, seven entire states and 1,372 businesses, unions and other institutions have received waivers from the law. The list includes the administration’s friends and allies and, of course, those who have the best lobbyists.

Although there are 435 congressional districts across America, nearly 20 percent of the new waivers, amazingly, found their way to a single district - Mrs. Pelosi‘s.

THE State Government is quietly compiling a mathematical map of almost every adult’s face, sharing information that allows law enforcement to track people by CCTV.

Experts said yesterday few people realised their facial features were being recorded in an RTA database of drivers licence photos that the Government has allowed both state and federal police to access.

The federal body CrimTrac has a...
sked NSW for its database so it can be mined nationally by police using the facial recognition information contained in it.

University experts in facial recognition said the correct match rate was as low as 90 per cent, meaning the names of people with faces sharing a similar structure to criminals could be returned in searches. Meet the face of Big Brother in NSW

As this graphic shows, the new law creates 68 grant programs, 47 bureaucratic entities, 29 demonstration or pilot programs, 6 regulatory systems, 6 compliance standards and 2 entitlements. What could possibly go wrong with something so-well organized?

This chart was meticulously compiled over the last four months after perusing the 2,841 pages of Obamacare that no one who voted for the bill both...
ered to read. This so-called “reform” has morphed into a new monstrosity of mandates, taxes & rationing, it will hurt seniors and hand healthcare into a bureaucracy which has now taken over 1/6 of our economy. This is a massive expansion of government & the bewildering complexity of this new law is overwhelming.
