    Another One Bites the Dust

In the past month the attitudes on this forum have deteriorated a great deal. I took a break from coming here daily for the past two weeks, because of it. Hoping the "If you don't like it hit the door" attitude and speeches given, would all calm down. In the past couple days I have visited I unfortunately found they had not.

In the two week break, I did some thinking as well. About what this forum and organization was about and about our country and what is happening with it. I pretty much came to the conclusion that this forum is a great source of information about the issue. And was a great place to connect with people of like minds, and was a place were you could pretty much speak freely within reason. In the few months I have been here I have seen that change. It is still a great resource for information. Especially to those new to the issue. But the freedom to connect and speak freely is deminishing daily. I find this disturbing when I see no rules being broken.

I personaly think the ConcernedVeteran post was mishandled along with a few other X members from back a few weeks ago. All for the "protection of the website". And CV's announcement to leave the site was met yet again with the " there's the door" attitude along with some false accusations and insinuations he was encourageing others to take inappropriate actions, by Administration.

CV's post did not endanger the website. Posting Barkway's bannishment on forum along with accusations that he was something other than a normal citizen, yet not following threw and informing us as to who he was suppose to "really be". Left one questioning what was going on and was this a witch hunt or what. I didn't care for his posts but I also did not care for insinuations to be made publically and no explaination given. When Switncgram got banned, I and many others felt that was over the top. I have sat back and watched fewer and fewer people who were once active, no longer posting or even coming to the site. I have read posters say they are scared to post anymore.

I think that the concern to impress a hand full of politicians who have betrayed us at every other turn has become to much of the focus here and is in and of itself a distraction and becoming destructive. Certainly does not merit the very harsh treatment of such active members. If the politicians cannot view this as a place were normal passionate Americans are truely for once, speaking there minds, then to hell with them. It posses the question as to what this site was designed for? The politicians or American people?

It is a great site for information and since Administration has announced twice in the last few days that the site is not to "blow off steam" or "let out hair down". Then maybe it should remain a information site and not a forum. Post the article and lock the threads. Until now it has been thought of as a discussion site. Yet I am seeing the freedom for discussion limited more and more daily. Many leaving and the attitude is "who care's". Speeches that now the flood gates will open wide for masses to join, and no concern over maintaining those you have. Speeches about who may "come to visit" for every incident, instead. Certainly, if your going to continue to let anyone and everyone in, there is cause for reasonable concerns. But, the active members are really feeling undue pressure over this being repeated to the degree it has been. And I would suggest again that to much focus is being put on what the others think. We are not running for office here to place such great emphsize on that area so often.

The attitude that "if you don't like it hit the door" is not conforting to those members here. Sends a message that they can be easily replaced and are of no value. Nor is it welcoming to new comers who are also viewing these posts. Yes there has been much hard work here. By staff and MEMBERS. Without the later there is no real forum. I personaly do not come here for the drama, devaluation of members or to be beat over the head with what our politicians will think.

So I have sat back and watched a friendly free flowing forum turn into a smaller, frustrated and guarded crowd of people. Much like we feel as we go threw our daily lives. I don't need that and it is not why i sought this forum out and stayed with it amongst the many other forums on this issue. For all these reason's I too am leaving the forum. I appreciate the information offered here, and for the short time it lasted, the friendly fun crowd that held discussion here. I wish you all the best in life. Take Care.

    Love
    Jezza

    Goodbye Jezzabell!

It's always amusing when someone that had to be banned from ALIPAC for putting pornographic material on our site one night makes moral speeches about the best way for our moderators to act.

The accounts Jezzabell and ConcernedVeteran have required a great deal of moderation, especially when you first signed up.

I've read your post over on Kurt's site. You know the one. The one sitting in the nonexistent areas of the Internet with 14 whopping users?

Accusing ALIPAC of betraying the public to cuddle up to politicians that have betrayed them?

Get real and buy a clue.

The ALIPAC website now only seems to serve thoughs who are new to the issue. Otherwise has become very redundant in information. It seems to serve no other purpose other than to inform and wind people up. Then leave them with little to no courses of action. They seem more intent to impress a few politicians who have betrayed us. And now censor on the extreme with that excuse. And have clearly stated that the staff does not encourage marches and citizens taking to the street.
Yes, ALIPAC is bringing a lot of new people into the movement. The information we provide is the latest and most comprehensive list of news on this issue. We offer courses of action each week and your statement there is a lie. We have no intention of impressing politicians that have betrayed the American public, that is another lie.

Now you are flat out lying Jezza / Kurt / Concerned Veteran.

Sure you two are not one and the same? Nobody else posts over on your defunct website.

I don't know any of the three of you but I will say that I have watched this site and posted on occasion and have noticed that MANY of the old faithful posters are long gone and the site is mostly made up of new people. I have heard so many people talk about the way they were treated like children on this site that I had quit posting because I don't choose to subject myself to such insanity. If you have been banned without reason, let me just say that you are better off. You are not the first and you won't be the last.

    Eagleeye,

No other PACs or groups that work with elected officials have an open source board where people can anonymously post whatever comes to mind regardless of the consequences.

What improvements do you recommend or perhaps we should just shut down the boards feature of the ALIPAC site and focus on the more traditional operations of our organization?

These boards are really becoming way to much of a pain in the butt and a time and energy drain.

We are spending to much time trying to get people not to fight each other, make nasty comments, or say things that would distance any candidate or elected official from us.

    What is your suggestion EagleEye?

I would probably say to shut down the forums if people are being so restricted in what they say. People shouldn't have to feel that they are being watched like children every time they post and arbitrary moderating seems very unfair.

I think that moderation is a must on a site such as this one. If this were simply another chat site, some of the criticisms would perhaps be founded (perhaps not). This is not simply another chat site. The discussion boards here are an adjunct to the main site of a political action committee with specific goals and a need for credibility.

I would urge members to remember that any discussion may always be taken to PMs or to email with another interested member if the topics get too far afield. Some of my own posts have strayed pretty far off topic, and I appreciate the indulgence that has been afforded me on those occasions. If I were asked to disengage from a particular line of discussion, I would do so without hesitation. This is not my site and I am no more than a guest here. If other folks have interest in a line of discussion I am engaged in but that the moderators choose to discontinue, those folks may always follow up with me via pm or email.

I think that we should all be appreciative of the time and effort being expended in the creation and maintenance of this invaluable site, not to mention the real work getting done off-site. Complaining when the site's operators ask for a bit of moderation is really bad form.

I too, at times have been confused about some of the banning and moderation of this site. I have often wondered if the "right" folks are getting banned. I do think that this forum is very controlled and that could be alienating new educated members - but that is not my problem.

But I don't own this site. If I want to have a forum that supports my personal agenda, then I need to start my own from scratch.

Every forum I participate in is moderated to varying degrees. We are guests on this forum.

It is simply a choice. I come here for some information.

    I like this site .
    If you go to
    www.ilw.com - discussion board
This is where illegal immigrants go - you will see the HUGE difference .
There is no regards for anything , people are turning into the animals there .
I think there should be some difference between us and THEM .
I think that the rules and laws are GOOD
They are begging for the moderators on that site , so moderators are not bad either .
The "no rules " site is an anarchy .
There are many of them around .
If CV and others like spent a lot of time and energy posting here , maybe there is some special attraction about this site .
Maybe it is so attractive because it has RULES and it is always a big challenge to try to break them - lol

This is a forum with an important purpose. Those who cannot stay focused on the goal of ths forum and continue to break the rules should leave. To do otherwise is a waste of time. This is not a chat room. Find a different site to vent. This is not the place to vent, it IS the place to fight against illegal immigration. To participate, you must focus and not deviate from the one goal we all are trying to meet..the end to illegal immigration.
