    Note,

Rush Limbaugh hammering Trent Lott & Dianne Feinstein; saying we DO know what's in the bill, it's bad on substance! They're trying to ram this through under the "cover of darkness."

    ----------

Check this blog for latest update on cloture votes:

Bottom line: Looks like Sen. Gregg plans on voting yes on cloture, but Voinovich may be able to be swayed, so call him to persuade him to vote NO on cloture and call Gregg to voice your displeasure and urge him to reconsider and vote NO!

WE NEED TO HELP WILLIAM AT THE MOMENT FOCUS ON THESE SENATORS AND DIXIE ALSO HAS A POST TO POST REPLYS IN THE DISCUSSION AREA!!!COME EVERYONE CONCENTRATE ON THIS FOR NOW!!!

    ALIPAC Activists:

I'm on the ground here in DC and I have a meeting lined up with Senator Richard Burr (R-NC). Also, I hope to meet with Senator Dole to thank her for her opposition to the bill S.1639 and to ask her to help us persuade Burr to kill the bill too!

We are working to line up meetings with the following targeted Senators.

If you would like to help, please call their offices and say something like

"I would like for Senator ______ to meet with William Gheen of ALIPAC. William Gheen is the President of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, he is in DC this week and wants to meet with Senator _______. William Gheen speaks for the vast majority of Americans on this issue. Please meet with William and please VOTE NO ON CLOTURE FOR THIS AMNESTY BILL. ENFORCE OUR EXISTING IMMIGRATION LAWS INSTEAD."

You can also e-mail them and fax them, while including a link to our contact info on the website at www.alipac.us

The following are the Senators I need to speak with for 10 minutes, to share the national and local polls showing the vast majority of Americans oppose this bill and want our existing immigration laws enforced.

    Senator Robert Bennett (R-UT) (202) 224-5444 Fax: (202) 228-1168
    Senator Jim Bunning (R-KY) (202) 224-4343 Fax: (202) 228-1373
    Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS) (202) 224-5054 Fax: (202) 224-9450
    Senator Judd Gregg (R-NH) (202) 224-3324 Fax: (202) 224-4952
    Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) (202) 224-2644 Fax: (202) 224-8594
    Senator John Warner (R-VA) (202) 224-2023 Fax: (202) 224-6295

The next CLOTURE vote is Tuesday and we must stop the AMNESTY pushers from getting the 60 YES votes they need to pass this bill.

    UPDATE-

The List of Twelve [Jim Geraghty]

    http://corner.nationalreview.com/

Around the Hill, Kirkorian's list is being cited as accurate and up to date:

The following 12 senators are leaning against the bill itself but so far are leaning toward the cloture motion — which means, in reality, that they would be helping pass the amnesty, because if the bill comes to a final vote, it will pass. These are the Senators whose decisions will likely determine whether the amnesty passes or not: Bond (R-Mo.), Bingaman (D-N.M.), Burr (R-N.C.), Boxer (D-Calif.), Cochran (R-Miss.), Conrad (D-N.D.), Ensign (R-Nev.), Levin (D-Mich.), Gregg (R-N.H.), Nelson (D-Neb.), Hatch (R-Utah), Webb (D-Va.).

Ahem. Phone numbers can be found here.

In related news, Rush Limbaugh just said that if he were running America, as Trent Lott suggested talk radio is, Lott would be in the House, not the Senate.

ADD BROWNBACK AND VOINOVICH TO THE LIST TO CALL!!!!

    Another Undecided?

    [Mark Krikorian]

    http://corner.nationalreview.com/

Sen. Voinovich voted in favor of cloture on the amnesty bill earlier this month, and I haven't seen his name on any list of possible No votes. But this Ohio blogger called Voinovich's Washington and Cleveland offices, and was told that the senator hadn't yet made up his mind and "is taking comments from constituents."

Sam Brownback Will Be In Town For Cloture Vote [Jim Geraghty]

There had been some speculation that Sam Brownback, R-Kansas, might miss the cloture vote on the immigration bill (he missed the last one). I am told by a reliable source that Brownback will be in town for this one. No word on how he will vote.
