UGLY SCENE, DOES NOT HELP OUR POSITION
The other evening I was waiting outside our local Starbucks for my husband and son when I witnessed this ugly scene, it made me cringe.
There were two younger women walking into the shopping center with their children, they were Hispanic. Apparently on their way back out on foot they walked in front of a very agressive young male driver, and it made him "angry".
This man rounded the turn at the intersection and leaned out his window, screaming at the top of his lungs, he said something about crossing the street, then he said "go back to Mexico, no one wants you here anyways you f*#@!n beaner".
Now we all have encountered this kind of person, who is charged to the max by his own testosterone, fueled by the beleif that he is probably the coolest thing possible, so his mouth just yaps out of control, when their is no brain activity. People are aware of his type, however.......
It is exactly this kind of assinine mentallity that is allowing the opposition, the pro-illegal immigrant groups, to say we are racists. They base their incorrect assumptions on people like this.
I felt almost ill. My 8 year old daughter was with me, and she frowned, wrinkled her nose and said "what's that guy's problem?". I said he's and idiot, that's his problem!!
This kind of brainless hatred is what the pro-illegal immigration groups want to hear about, as it is fuel for the fire.
I only bring this up to keep myself and others reminded of how our actions in the heat of the moment can really drop down our credibility. Now although we do not know this guy, and he is most likely not a part of ALIPAC (we hope!), we are still aligned with people like this no matter, so, when we are out there, we have to have an impeccable record in public so we cannot be aligned with this.

well - elizabeth if the Guest worker program is enacted there will be a lot more scenes like this-
the point is not that he said something- and I dont think what he said was so awful- actually - maybe he has lost 20 jobs to mexicans - maybe his quality of life has been so impacted that he can't stand it any longer-
why post this here anyway?
I mean - we could post all day long about the low- life things we have seen illegals do - but we don't
so where is all this anger going to go?
Why shouldn't americans be angry? Why shouldn't they express it ?
if he knew of a way to fight back then he might choose more effective means-
maybe he is angry about the latinos taking over the public schools in Oregon- and the rental market and all the jobs that went to the young and lower educated-
and the demonstration last week of 4,000 latino's telling us they had a right be here-
or maybe the illegal mexican who was killed - through his own fault - by racing with a train in salem and was killed and now his mexican family is suing amtrack et all - wow
or the Federal GOvernment using tax payer money to fine portland schools because the illegals havent learned english enough
what he said is true - we dont want them here and thats enough

I agree with you Elizabeth. There have been moments for me where I wanted to let out my pent up frustrations over illegals on an individual who crossed my path at the wrong time.
Our cultures and standards are very different and theirs are unendingly irritating to me, especially in regards to the treatment of women.
But I do try to catch myself when I find myself operating in "primitive mode", wanting to call people names and such.http://www.soldiersangels.com Adopt a Soldier

That was my thought exactly. We have no idea what this person may be going through. If he is just a spoiled rich kid letting off steam, I would agree he should just shut up.
If he is a construction worker that has been taking pay cuts the last few years. Then was just let go from his job, because the company only wants cheap labor, I wish I was there with him to yell also.We call things racism just to get attention. We reduce complicated problems to racism, not because it is racism, but because it works

I will admit that I have told people who I was reasonably certain were illegal immigrants to go home but I have never and probably will never call one an ugly name. We have gangs of them hanging around store parking lots sometimes harassing people asking for money. Some are sleezy enough to carry a baby around. Funny how those babies never seem to grow up in six or seven years. LOL
That road rage like you mention is frightening enough here so that I don't venture out at night if I have any other choice. I can't help but wonder how many of the pedestrians run over in the streets here aren't actually run over on purpose by gangster punks.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

thanks Sd Hog
no americans aren't telling illegals what they think of them- cause we are afraid of being assaulted and killed-
it isn't nobility or good manners that silences me -no , it's street fear- it's knowing how ugly it can get-

I've started a little campaign with local law enforcement by reporting every nit-picking thing I see.
If someone leaves their dog out all night barding, I report them. If I see someone littering, I report them. I saw a lady steal a COAT in Costco not long ago. I reported her. I'm fed up with it, too, but I'm not ready to start calling people ugly names. I figure that just reduces us to their level.
I feel like November is going to tell the story. If those low life legislators find a way to buy back their seats--especially the senators-- all bets are off as far as I'm concerned.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
