I am constantly surprised by the amount of women who contribute to this forum. Being male, I originally assumed that many of you were men, only to find otherwise later. It encourages me to see so many of our female citizens getting involved and being so passionate with this important issue. It gives me hope for the future.
As for being obsessed, about two weeks ago, after screaming at the TV for a stupid comment made by Mayor Bloomberg, my 15 year old son, told me I needed to turn the TV off.REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER!

Welcome to the fight. It is just and we will win because we are Americans!

Againstillegals,
Welcome! You are definitely not alone. I've been here one year and I still am obsessed much of the time. It does ease up some at times. As far as losing weight - yes a little at times and a good thing- but then it finds me again.

Count me among the totally obsessed. Not only am I constantly on the internet searching new developments on the fight against the illegals but every night I'm pounding out e-mail the Senators expressing my disgust with them.. Glad I have some company in my obsession. :P

Last fall my teen-age son didn't want any of his friends to know that I was "The Pinestraw Guy". Lowered social status, or some nonsense.
When he went to school yesterday he showed ALL his friends the clip of me on the news the night before, and suddenly he's got no problem with my line of work. Better yet, neither do any of his classmates.
(Most of the kids in his HS are a lot better off financially than we are)
But the point to my story is that ALL those kids LISTENED to the problem and IDENTIFIED with the solution. These kids will be voting in 2 years, and it's nice to see a little education take root.

I am new to this site - but my situation is much the same.
It is hard to sleep - don't loose weight, sad to say.
I have plain old dial up connection and my ISP sent me a form letter a couple of days ago stating I had been on line 200 hours last month. It stated that must indicate I was leaving my computer on while I was not actually at the computer, and that wasn't fair to others. They have threatened to cancel my account.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Welcome ... welcome .. I am new also .... I look at this site as part of the extended family ... my country as I knew it many years ago. Yes I don't get a full nights sleep ... some but not enough .... I am starting to work for a Congressman want a be ... He is Democrat as I, but in this neck of the woods you are anti illegal immigration and it does not matter you party... anyway I am in the fight and hope it will take some of the frustration and allow me to sleep better.

Nope, you're not crazy...you're just concerned about the rapid changes that are taking place....all of us are...and probably completely disgusted by the fact that our government is turning a blind eye to the fact that we are being invaded.
I've been on this site for more than a year...I suffer ulcers...emotionally induced asthma...emotionally induced hypoglycemia...my poor husband had to take time off for 3 months to take care of me...but like a pit bull...I NEVER Left this site...never stopped looking for hope...never stopped calling and faxing and emailing. And I won't.
My doctor asked me what was wrong with my life....o...nothing. My life is great...but my world isn't. And it won't be until we can turn this situation around. Welcome to the battle. You can sleep and eat when the rest of us warriors do. LOL...

04-13-2006, 05:22 PM #20I spend hours and hours and hours on the internet reading about the riots and looking at pictures I just can't stop. I have lost almost 10 pounds since mondays protest because I have a knot in my stomach that won't go away I have so much anger in my heart. Does anybody else feel this way?
I wish I could lose weight over it but I seem to sit here and eat junk food because I'm so nervous over it then I feel sick on my stomach from all the junk I ate.
I know what you are talking about with those "knots" in your stomach.
I also eat tums half the night.
But we are all in this together. We want to preseve our nation.
I suggest that you find something else to distract you from this once you feel you have done all you can possibly do for one day, though. Knit a sweater or go for a walk. Go see what the neighbors are doing. The obsession will make you feel more isolated if you don't get out in the real world once in awhile.
I hope you are somewhere that you have American neighbors-- neighbors who are upset like you are-- on the same side of the issue.
Meantime, keep your eyes and ears open to what is going on around you. Any opportunity you see to turn in an illegal, jump on it. Any reason is a good reason to write to your congressmen and senators.
