Everything you`ve heard about the Minutemen or The SOS is just that, you heard it. It`s all rumors that were started without the slightest evidence of truth.

Minutemen Volunteers are not only white, there are volunteers of every color and nationality imaginable, including (legal) Hispanic and Mexican.
Now if we were Vigilantes, Gun slinging racist or everything else we are accused of being, we would nolonger exist.
We try to help defend the laws of this Country and the rights of the Citizens.

I will give you a down to earth old-fashioned lesson in being an American, the way my father taught me.

I asked my father one time "what are we?", as I stood next to the couch where my olive tone, dark eyed, black haired mother sat next to him, with his brown hair, pale skin and blue eyes, he said to me, "you're and American, and never forget that, it does not matter how much money you have, what color your skin is or what you do for a living. Just remember that you are lucky enough to be born here, and have the opportunity to live here and abide by the laws".

Isabelle, not one of the Minutemen or any other civilian activist group who wants the laws enforced, our borders protected, are doing anything which is against the law, or racist, or immoral. In fact all of these people would defend you on the street in a heart beat if they saw someone trying to take away your winnings, you can depend on that.

Not one of the Minutemen, SOS, ALIPAC, FAIR, and all others are aligned with any group who is hateful.

You also have to understand that the majority of the illegal aliens that America is seeing are from Mexico and the Central American countries, therefore you will hear more about them on the news, in the papers and on different blog activist sites.

One last reminder to you, when we say "illegal alien", we are referring to anyone who is here against our laws, even if their skin is white, and they speak English, because they have broken the laws, we have an issue with them. So then, knowing this, how can calling them an illegal alien be racist?

Don't listen the the hate speech from the groups like La Raza, who would use you and others like yourself to believe all Americans who want our immigration laws enforced are racist and white, and so, do not believe that they have your best interest at heart, they are no different than the corrupt politicians in Mexico, who only are using this issue to gain political power and notoriety for themselves.

Being an American means you unite with millions of other people here, and you shirk the notion that your race or religion makes you a victim. Stepping away from that is the only way all Americans can become united against those corrupted people who want to divide us.

almost embarrased at her spelling, etc. If she went to school here and is 22 she didn't learn very much. I may not agree 100% with people on this site but I respect your opinions and learn from them a lot. But, people like isabelle make understand a lot more why so many Americans are against illegal immigration. I am an American citizen, was born in Mexico...blah blah blah...some of ya'll have heard from me. But ya'll should have let her stay, I started out the way(except for the grammer promblems) and have learned so much from you guys, and have developed respect for your cause even if don't completely agree with everything.

Well, there are many people in this country with terrible grammer, but that is beside the point, it is her attitude which was rotten.

No one would have ever argued her winning from a contest she entered. It seemed to me a childish ploy to enrage people and provoke racist remarks more than anything.

I am glad I am involved with a group that can see beyond that and not fall into that trap, it would prove us childish too, and petty.

Aracely, always remember, we are glad to have people come here legally, and live with us, enjoy their freedoms, but with that comes the need for them to respect our way of life already established here, while still enjoying their own ways and culture they were raised with. This woman did not have that respect.

I rent from a man who is from Eastern Europe, I am not fully sure if he is a citizen, however, he is someone that I would have rather not seen allowed into our country, he is a slumlord, and is also verbally abusive. Yes this man is esentially "white", but it does not matter, he is not a benefit to the community we live in, quite the opposite.

So no matter what people want to believe about those of us at ALIPAC, we may vent once in a while, or even rant, but not one of us hate, and not one of us hold the mindset that we are better because of skin color (mainly because we are all not white here, but we are Americans).
