Then that is just more proof that these politicians are on the take with the drug cartels. The power of holding state office is nothing compared to their take of that $240 billion a year cash cow called the illegal drug trade pouring over and through that southern border, and that number was oh gee, 8 years ago, a Congressional study I found called "The Southwest Border: A Line in the Sand". Today that street value is probably $300 billion or more, all cash, tax-free, flowing and going, every year, year after year after year for decades.
That's why I support legalization of the drug industry with regulations, pass the FairTax, charge tax on it, regulate for quality and quantity, age limits, etc., domestic industry only, no exports or imports to avoid international implications, have it owned and operated by licensed US CITIZENS ONLY, A to Z, from field to factory to distribution to retail store, and regulate the quantity and quality. Then use part of the FairTax to pay for better education of the risks and consequences of using drugs and free rehab on demand without stigma for anyone who wants or needs it.
We stop one of the reasons for illegal immigration, keep our $300 billion a year, have a safer drug trade, have funds for education and rehab paid for solely by drug users who purchase the drugs, eliminate all the crime, gangs and incarcerations, save lives, reduce or eliminate dangerous drug use, and bring sanity to a presently insane situation.
And, we get our creepy crooked politicians off the Drug Cash Train which will mean most of them will no longer have any interest in "public service", and clear the way for honest, decent Americans to hold these offices and positions.
It's a win-win-win-win-win deal and I hope we get there soon.A Nation Without Borders Is Not A Nation - Ronald Reagan

Jerry Brown said the newly licensed illegal aliens are too poor to buy auto insurance and now California taxpayers subsidize and pay their auto insurance for them!
If you have a SS#, legitimate or not, apparently they don't check, you can purchase a drivers license online in Pennsylvania. Yet the state is marked as not issuing to them. Baloney, they are all driving. State licenses etc used to be so strict & with punishments.
Everything changes to suit the illegals. Amazing! They would not be here if the gov't did not want them here.
The voting for illegals in Ca is not for national elections but.....they should not have the right to vote on local ones either.Last edited by artist; 03-22-2016 at 10:05 PM.

No artist, this is not just for local voting. Every person who gets a D.L. or renews their license is automatically registered to vote in all elections. If a person does not want to vote or is a felon, etc. it is up to them to decline. Illegal immigrants are supposed to have "For Driving Privileges Only" stamped on their D.L., and it is up to the Sec. of State to make sure they aren't registered. Knowing our liberal Sec. of State and our corrupt government it is ripe for fraud, especially since your D.L. is not checked when voting.

Some concern has been raised that Motor Voter will lead to voter fraud in the shape of illegal immigrants casting ballots. That’s a nonstarter. The DMV already screens out noncitizens who have AB 60 driver’s licenses. . .

Sadly, that's only a small part of the problem.
A good friend and neighbor of mine so frustrated with the local problems ran for a government position and won. To his surprise and disappointment, the corruption at this level
is sooooo bad that he decided to put his house on the market and leave the state at the end of his term. And he's a Democrat!
He has told me things that are so unconscionable that it is hard to believe how corrupt and dirty our public officials truly are.

Can some-what agree with you about SD. My family lives in La Jolla and it is absolutely beautiful and an oasis
And also only 7.5% sales tax.
SD is a massive county and like the counties of Los Angeles, San Bernadino, Orange & Riverside; San Diego county has the third largest
population of illegal aliens in California with 77% from Mexico.
Though not a sanctuary city, SD does also have pockets of problems areas.

CA licenses have always been easy to get regardless of status. Its been a joke for the last 30 years.
For $100 - 200, DMV clerk will get you a license.
For $500 - $700, DMV clerk will issue you a car title.
Jerry Brown just made it more convenient and cheaper to get one.

The Bullet Train..... Jerry Brown is in cahoots with Harry Reid from NV.
After private investors pulled out and Nevadans rejected the huge project, Harry Reid at the last minute in the cover of darkness, stuck the $7 billion appropriations
in the Defense Bill.
There are a lot of hands in this cookie jar and it all started with Reid, his sons and crooked attorney friends.
