Judge says Laguna Beach can legally fund labor site
According to a judge's proposed ruling, there was insufficient evidence that the city's funding of the hiring site is illegal.

A lawsuit over Laguna Beach's day labor hiring site failed to provide enough evidence to show illegal action by the city, according to a judge's proposed ruling.
The ruling, a copy of which was obtained from the city's attorneys, came after Laguna Beach resident Eileen Garcia filed a lawsuit accusing the city of illegally funding the site, which was started in 1993 and is currently run by a nonprofit.
The lawsuit alleged that the city was not able to legally fund the site through community assistance grants because illegal immigrants were using the center to find jobs.
The ruling was issued Wednesday by Orange County Superior Court Judge Gregory Munoz.

Well, Orange County is one of the most conservative counties in the nation. We have a lot of patriots there that are fighting hard for our cause. Having said that, Laguna Beach is far and away the most liberal city in OC. Californians are not OBLs. We have fought and fought for immigration enforcement. We just have been over-ruled by the courts.

Orange County is conservative but Laguna Beach is second to San Francisco in liberalism. The judge's last name is Munoz...gee do you think he was biased?

Growing up in a multiculture and being friends with the old breed of Hispanics I am sad to say that I have recently came to the conclusion that I will never again vote for anyone with a Hispanic surname.

That's why I said it is far and away the most liberal city in OC. My point is that Californians as a whole have a lot of good values. San Francisco, Laguna Beach, and Hollywood do not represent California.

California and Texas both 'welcomed' illegals to work their fields ,factories ,landscapes and homes .

Their was a great white exudus from both states . They chose to run instead of fight . Just like all other states are doing now .

Florida did the same thing with the swimmers who took over Miami, then moved north to infect the rest of the state . Don't go to Miami unless you speak spanish . What was a beautiful American Paradise is now a third world ghetto crime infested cesspool .

I am so frustrated with complacent citizens who want others to do their fighting for them .

I'm an older woman and I stood my ground even when the bullets started flying , so i have no patiance with others who haven't .

So true, I boycott San Francisco. Other people from different states don't seem to understand that legal residents of California are made up of Americans from all states. California is diverse with different viewpoints because of this. In California early on we had to learn to be tolerant and excepting of different viewpoints.
