You're right, OUR small, individual, rallies have accomplished little if anything.

The ILLEGAL'S rallies accomplished both world and national attention, huge support for their cause, and resulted in S2611, and a step closer to a NAU.

The complacency, along with a litany of excuses, by the American people is what will cause the ILLEGALS to succeed. They organized, by the hundreds of thousands, and made huge strides to their advantage. The didn't do it with faxes, e-mails, or 'send a brick' gimmicks. They made their presence known visually.

Are you saying that hundereds of thousands of American citizens, taking to the streets as they did, will accomplish nothing, or are you saying that American citizens are simply not capable of making the same effort?

I wrote my two Senators in may and got replies from both. This shocked me as I did not expect it. I liked the one reply better than the other as Senator Nelson was for big time enforcement at the border and did not mention amnesty where as Mel Martinez spoke of enforcement and letting them apply for residency if they have been here over a certain length of time.

    Re: Large Scale Protests?

    [
quote="ProtestIllegals"]I would like to know if there are any large scale protests up and coming?

There are protests planed if, in the 1st 100 days of the new 2007 hearings, an amnesty bill is not passes. I cannot remember what new channel I heard this.

They didn't organize by themselves. They had large organiizations backing them up logistically and financially. They had professional protest coordinators working with them and coaching them.

I don't disagree that a large rally would help and someone will probably organize one this summer. But like I said earlier, that is not one of our focuses.

Huge support? Cruise through this and every other anti-illegal forum and check the sign up dates. The President made his spiel, the socialist/communists/globalists pulled the trigger on the organized marching, and the Senate came up with S. 2611. It was supposed to be a slam dunk. It didn't happen though did it? Americans rejected the political techniques of the Third World. The whole idea is that America should remain America. Thank the letter writers, the phone callers, your civilized Americans that put the shoulder to the system the Founders provided.

This movement we're up against has been at work for most of this century, and kicked into high gear after the 1960's. They infest our schools, our governments and even our churches and are financed out of our own wallets. In spite of that there are still a good number of patriotic Americans. They need to be identified, educated, and organized. The enemies of America have had a long time to work their plan, but we can counter that time with superior numbers. Still going to take work and time.

However, it would be great to see a statement by America. How about a day without Americans? Just say no more. Everyone take an extra day off work for the 4th of July and assemble in parks or at the lake for an American re-union on that one day? Everybody bring a covered dish and a cooler. Before we call a demonstration let's see if we can organize a picnic. Can you pull it off?

Nope. I agree with all your views. I have been to the rallys here in Raleigh. When The Minuteman Project did their national caravan this past summer, I went to the Greensboro, Richmond and D.C. rallys. I left my wife and child, took off work and spent my own money to do this. I have no problem with that at all. The thing that I do have a problem with (and this is simply American apathy), is at all these rallys there was never more than 150 people attending! It was heart-breaking. On the way back to Raleigh, I was traveling through Richmond. I heard on the radio that the Ameican Idol winner had come to town and had filled up the stadium with people.

Americans are so "fat and happy" witht their life that they will not travel 10 miles, let alone to D.C., to stand up for their country. If there is a mass protest, I will be there. But, I'll beleive it when I see it. Until this problem actually effects people in the wallets, they are going to stick their heads in the sand.

Momentum is building but it hasn't hit critical mass yet.

Keep on keeping on, being productive, making contacts, etc. I know it's frustrating but it's necessary to achieve major momentum.

When CRITICAL MASS hits......and that takes time, we will be ready and it will seem to come out of the blue. But we know that it will have been created from our work and the work of many other people who are in this fight. It's unfolding before our eyes.

Instead of rallys I think a national sick day would really get attention. Imagine millions of Americans not working all on the same day and staying home and not spending any money. Business would have to close for lack of employees and stores would be empty.

    Maybe.

There needs to be organization. The S/C/OBL has infiltrated our institutions and uses their organization. Take 'em back and use them.

Minor factions of the alien advocacy have tried more demonstrations by hollering this or that. Nobody showed. You can bet there were payments made for people to bring out the alien insurrection. And the "loyal" troops were responding to those that butter their bread.

You bet it would. It has to be properly prepared though. The employers need to be made "sympathetic" to the cause like the chicken plant owners and the fast food operators, etc., were. They need to fear the public if they dare to come down on Americans fighting for their country.
