The people in Texas will never agree to this. They would be paving over too much history. If it parallels 35 it would do away with a big chunk of Austin , Roundrock, Georgetown, the historic town of Salado, and even Baylor University in Waco. Besides the Socialist candidate in Mexico is against free trade. Almost makes me want to go down there and illegally vote for him.

Obrador just came out this week claiming he wants to work with America to help ILLEGALS and continue "trade" as it stands. He's done an about face.

HISTORY......the more of our precious history they can obliterate both physically and in our schools, the easier it is to brainwash the next generation! They got a huge jump just in our textbooks and on to the next phase

Man, this just gets worse and worse the more we learn about it. In the comments section of the linked story, a woman named Joyce, from Kansas City, reveals another very disturbing aspect of this abomination:

As a resident of Kansas City, Missouri I can assure you that even the general population in K.C. knows little about the Mexican Customs Facility.

Although not as sexy as the Dubui ports deal the Mexican facility in Kansas City is (or was) a discrete project that for all practical purposes was supposed to happen under the radar.

I spoke with Mr. Guiterrez, president of Smartport, in September '05 regarding the Mexican customs facility. He indicated at that time that it would not be the sovereign territory of Mexico. That was a falsehood that was revealed by documents obtained from the City under a records request.

The facility will the sovereign territory of Mexico. The land, valued at 400,000 US, was donated by the City. The City earmarked 2.5 million and an additional 600,000 for concrete. There will be addional costs as well.

According to records we received under the Missouri Sunshine law the Mexican government would not have moved on the deal unless the facility would be the sovereign territory of Mexican and that the cost of construction would be shouldered locally: The Kansas City taxpayer. The Mexican government did not have money for the facility or for the screening equipment needed for the trucks.

The City of Kansas City/K.C. Smartport have applied for a Economic Development Administration loan of 1.5 million as well.

In our attempt to obtain records from the City pertinent to the facility and K.C. Smartport two City Council members, Bonnie Sue Cooper and George Blackwood, Jr. (NASCO president) delayed our request for records according to the City Attorney, Galen Beaufort.

So much for transparency in government.

The project is called NASCO - North America's Super Corridor Coalition. Here is their website with a map of the USA showing the transportation routes:

Anyone from Kansas on these boards that can bombard their representatives with calls/letters about this? Actually, we should ALL be doing that and passing information about NASCO to all our fellow citizens!

What about the freedom of information act?Would it not apply here?

ConcernedVeteran, I agree with all that you say. In all fairness here, This is an illegal immigration board, I suppose only politics of immigration is allowed to be mentioned here in this forum, please we don't need to lose patriots of your caliber in our fight against this invasion, if we can make some headway here and win this fight, we can go on to win other fights of which you speak that are just as important, I think I know of which you are speaking that happened in 1962. You are right, it was the turning point in America, and all that has happened in America up to this present day invasion of mexico and to be fair, other countries to, the worse from our southern borders to be sure, I think can be directly attributed to that one act. We have to win this fight on our border or all will be lost!

Listened to Trucker Radio 700 WLW last night on a delivery trip to Decatur, AL. They were discussing the new Nafta corridor. I don't think it's going over very well with the callers. The station read the article from HumanEvents so everybody was able to make the connection with loss of sovereignty.
Boy, there's lots of Mexicans around Decatur.
