From the founding of this nation to 2018, there are still people that can say with a straight face that African Americans
need to "join" America. Only God can "break up that fallow ground". The problem is so deep and cancerous, I believe it will
kill the nation. So in trying to protect the US there are people actually killing her thinking they are giving her life.
It's like a doctor killing his patients.

I know African Americans will never join the Republican party en mass due to its climate. So that's a starting point to examine.

Okay, well, thank you for your thoughts on it, and yes, by we I was referring to Republicans, candidates, consultants, campaign workers, election committees and so forth who are active in getting the vote our for our candidates during elections.

The United States is the only country in world history that ended slavery through a civil war, the only people ever on this earth to engage in an horrible war with tremendous sacrifice in human life, money, property, disease and injuries for the sole benefit of slaves. All other civil wars were fought to remove power from one group and transfer it to another so those who started it intended to reap rewards for themselves.

Americans are the only people in human history to have fought a civil war for the sole benefit of others.

These Americans were Republicans.

That comment is not exactly accurate. The civil war was not only about slavery, it was also about taxation or the principles of states' rights.

You're presenting the view of the defeated Confederates as told through Democrat-engineered public education. I'm speaking for the Republicans who fought for the United States to abolish slavery.

I don't know your history. You say you are white and have a Black wife. I don't know if you hung out with a Black crowd and met your wife through them, or you met your wife and are trying to fit in with her family and friends. But it is like that white woman who pretended to be Black. I understand it to be "tribalism", the desire to fit in with a specific crowd. For you, you seem to be trying to get your Black creds by pushing Black themes. Like an initiation ritual to become accepted in some group or club, you try to fit in. How far would it go? If they told you to kill a white guy to prove your loyalty to the Black cause, would you? The successful people are not dependent on others. They become the leaders. You seem to want to teach more of the same. And that means continues segregation! As long as there are those promoting that, there will never be "One America!"

I would like to know if ANY African-American's take any ownership in the truth of what their own country did to them? Or do they turn a blind eye?

It does not fit the narrative of the likes of Al Sharpton, Al Green, Maxine Watters and the rest of the race baiters. These are the generation that need to die off and stop spewing their lies and rhetoric continuing to stoke the flames of division in this country to people who were NOT even born when this all happened.

Maybe they should take a field trip, on their dime, to Africa and the truth shall set them free about the history of Africa and slaves.

They continue to lie and make this a one-way street that big bad "whitey" is the cause of all the strife and problems in the World. Africa has had slaves, tortured their own slaves and sold their own people since the beginning of time. It continues to THIS DAY what they do to their own people!

Maybe these black professor's who keep spewing this hatred vitriol and these black leaders should investigate their OWN countries history of buying and selling slaves and their hand in this atrocity.

Do they claim any ownership whatsoever? No, they do not.

They torture, rape, kidnap and oppress their own people to this day. They take the wealth and keep them in poverty. Now they shove their people over our borders to destroy our countries.

If we must continue to beat to death the history of what happened 150 years ago...then I suggest we also must beat to death what THEY indeed did to their own people even LONGER than that and what THEY continue to do.

We do not need anymore Al Sharpton's or Maxine Watters or nasty Al Green. What we need are mentor's, strong, positive leaders to teach respect for yourself, responsible decisions, work hard, wait to have a family you can afford and EARN your lot in life.

You may actually believe you're talking for the Northern troops, but I find that highly questionable because even Abraham Lincoln's priority was NOT about freeing slaves. He even said he wouldn't have freed a single slave if it meant saving the Union. Slavery wasn't really at the top of anyone's priority list. The North used it as an excuse to keep the Union intact and the South fought for the right to conduct their business affairs as they saw fit.

My point is not to justify the Southern states actions, it's to dispel your attempt at shaping history to suit yourself.
