In the opinion of Ron Paul supporters the issue has been explained over and over again in many different ways. You have an opinion that is persuasive for Romney.

Paul's immigration TV ad is the strongest on the subject.

Welcome aboard Enchilada_Non_Grada.
Interesting ad. Appears pretty solid to me:

Hey thank you, guys.

01-01-2008, 08:30 AM #87Thank you for that video. I don't think Ron Paul's stance on the illegal alien invasion can get any clearer than that and that's what I'm talking about.

Yes if you watch this video and say he is not tough on immigration then you are just not paying attention to the video.

01-01-2008, 12:07 PM #89That's good, because he has picked up quite a bit of grief from the Libertarians supporting him. It is a bit of internal conflict between the paleoconservatives supporting him and the Libertarians supporting him.

But, many polls have shown that illegal immigration is the #1 issue for Republicans, so we shall see how it turns out.
Of course this has long been his position.
From 2003:

Paul Introduces Legislation to Restrict Student Visas
[i]Washington, DC- Congressman Ron Paul recently introduced legislation that will make it more difficult for terrorists and potential terrorists to enter the United States using student visas. Paul’s bill will require the State department to apply close scrutiny to student and diversity visa applications submitted by individuals from Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Libya, Sudan, and other terror-sponsoring nations.

A candidate should not be judged solely on his or her campaign rhetoric. IMO, the voter should look much deeper than the surface clutter (campaign rhetoric) which is being presented. when deciding on a president, we have a personal responsibility to reconcile differences between the now with the then (campaign rhetoric and voting history). this applies to all candidates, not just Ron Paul. Actually, I tune out a lot of the garbage the candidates (all of them) are saying now and look to their past voting record for a true reading of how they would act as President of the United States.Thank you for that video.
