    Solutions

I'd like to see a thread designated solely to the discussion of reasonable solutions to this problem. We can all see that the problem exists, but by and large, there isn't much discussion about how to fix the mess we have on our hands. I made a list of a few things when I first arrived here, one of which included amnesty and was immediately shot down. A couple weeks later, looking back, I can see why. I may be slow, but I try to do my homework.

Still, until there are viable suggestions there *can* be no advancement toward a solution. We may write our Senators, our Congressmen, and the President, but I am certain the solutions needed elude even them. No one living has had to deal with this problem at the scale we are facing. History tells us that those nations who didn't address the issue at all eventually fold to become something other than the nations they were before.

I came up through the Army system and on more than one occasion heard the expression "If you have a complaint, but don't have a suggestion to fix it, you're not moving forward, you're just spinning all our wheels."

I think we can all agree that the first thing that must be done is adopting a policy that every other sovreign nation understands (except when it is applied to the US) and that is that entry into the country must be done orderly, and legally. Any other entry into the nation is a criminal act and results appropriate actions towards criminal activity. We need to empower, or re-empower, those agencies whose purpose is to conduct this mission of protecting and controlling our nations borders. Closing the border to all but legal traffic is essential, but THIS IS ONLY THE FIRST STEP.

As much as some of you might like to 'round 'em up and send 'em packin'", I just don't see that gaining much support from any sector of our nation. Instead, I think we must offer an incentive to encourage foreign nationals here illegally repatriate by some set date with their home nation. If the borders are controlled, entry and departure can be documented, would it be an incentive to suggest legal re-entry in the future might be available depending on agreements with their home nation?

Those illegal immigrants who do not depart by the date set in the measure above lose any and all possibility of re-entry if they are caught inside our borders after the established date of repatriation.

Those are just the tip of the iceberg.....please add suggestions and let us have a thread just for more ways to fix what ails us. Let's keep it civil, sound, and rational.

Let's offer our leaders help, not just bend their ears with complaints.

As you said, and we all have said the 1st step is to close the borders. If it takes placing military units on the border for 6 months a year or long until the BP can be built up enough to control it.
I can not see doing sweeps of all hispanic communities to pick up illegals.
But give them 90 days to 6 months to return to their home country. That would give them time to take of anything they would need to do before leaving.
After that should you be stopped by law enforcement and you are illegal deport them.

Those who did leave and applied to reenter the US could be given priority for consideration.

If you have a criminal record or were arrested and deported ...don't even ask.

just some of the things I have been mulling over.

RARIUS, yes on the dedicated thread

One of the biggest problems that we're facing is that we're NOT enforcing EXISTING LAWs.

By RELEASING almost a million felons back into American streets, imho, they told us by ACTIONS just what laws they hold in contempt.

Also, much legislation seems to be "unconstitutional" and that is first and foremost a big part of the problem.

    Solutions

There's probably thousands of specific "solutions," practical things that we can all do to turn this thing around. And it seems to me that each person on this site is making their contributions in their own special way depending on their specific situation. Personally, I think this website itself is one of the most powerful "solutions" I've come across. Don't forget: "The pen is mightier than the sword." And the words on this site will have profound effects that will continue to reverberate for years to come. For, as many of the people on this site have alluded, a big part of the battle is winning the hearts and minds of the people. Which I believe we are doing. We are making our case here. I believe we are in the process of reversing 40 years of disastrous liberal social engineering. Which is no small task. But I can sense the brakes being put on, the ball slowing down, and now we are going to send it off rolling off in the other direction. And once it gets started moving, there will be no stopping it.

After about 3 weeks of constant study on this problem, here are the solutions which I have posted in various forms throughout the forums:

    1) seal the borders and prevent all new entry of illegals into US Soil

    2) place a Moratorium on all new immigration until we have time to assess how many illegals are here

    3) require that all illegals return voluntarily to their country of origin

    4) prosecute all illegal employers

    5) deny all benefits to illegals nationwide

    6) prosecute all individuals and organizations who have willingly and knowingly violated US Immigration Law by "aiding and abetting" illegal alien traffic into the United State

    7) detain and deport all illegals who did not leave voluntarily

vote out every elected official that aligns with Globalists using immigration, legal or illegal, to change the political power of the United States; that supports Open Borders; that supports CAFTA; that supports NAFTA.

    That's a beginning.

Lofty goals Judy, but look around you. Does ALIPAC currently have the political strength to accomplish even one of those goals?

Why not set and strive for goals we can reach? And, by reaching those goals, we gain the political strength to reach higher goals.

1- Gather, filter, and distill information found online into short concise talking points.

2- Index talking points for ready reference.

3- Train others to do the same as William in the other 49 states.

4- (This is a biggie, but I think attainable) Meet with AFLCIO Leadership. Convince them of the need to involve all associated labor organizations involved in the Construction trades in this fight. Promote a work shutdown of all construction that has illegals on work crews. Not only the Building trades, but also road/highway construction, etc. The Teamsters have the power to shut down all construction Nation wide. Who operates the heavy equipment? Who delivers all construction materials? Think of the political muscle we can gain by reclaiming the skilled trades for citizens and not illegals.

Remind the Labor Unions that the illegals not only lower wages for everyone, but they directly put Union workers out of work. No work for Union workers means no Union Dues collected . . . means empty coffers at Union headquarters.

Our focus should be on things we can do NOW that help ALIPAC grow into something that can do the lofty things you speak of.

    Mr. Magoo....thanks for your suggestions.

Please read the article I posted on Open Borders Lobby.

    http://www.discoverthenetwork.org/guide ... 0Lobby.pdf

Go to the page about organizations comprising the Open Borders Lobby.

The AFL-CIO is bought and sold by the Open Borders Lobby.

They are owned by the Globalists using illegal immigration to bring down the United States.

The AFL-CIO is being misled into believing that illegal immigrants will join their union and increase their membership.

UNIONS are NOT part of the Globalist Strategy.

UNIONS are the REASON major corporations are using illegal workers with no labor rights under American Law.

AFL-CIO knows this, so why undermine their Union Members?

AFL-CIO has betrayed their members with this pro-illegal immigration stance.

If I were a paying member of the AFL-CIO, then I would stop paying my union dues IMMEDIATELY, because your dues are being used to underwrite your own self-destruction.

Read the Open Borders Lobby Article I posted yesterday which explains everything that is going on.

The AFL-CIO is part of the Plan and thus one of the Traitors.....along with ACLU, Southern Poverty Law Center, and National Council of La Raza.

Well put Magoo.. and do correct me if I'm in error here. But this is my perspective .. I think the main goal at ALIPAC is to provide a resource (through our large article and discussion database) to educate and hopefully wake the American public to action .. however, that might be. I didn't know much of this a few months ago myself but now I do know about sanctuary policies, bankrupt hospitals, fake i.d.'s, pandering politicians, bloviating Fox, polls that say 90% of Americans want something done now to stem the invading hordes of illegal aliens who cross our borders daily. Discussing peripheral issues distracts from our mission and may confuse the average forum visitor.

Peripheral issues are just that. There is a much more looming problem and that is the economic (loss of jobs, diminished wages) impact of what unstemmed illegal immigration has done to our country to date and the deaf ear leadership continually turns to the American public. Notwithstanding the issues of crime, disease, refusal to assimilate, degradation of neighborhoods, desecration of the once-beautiful Arizona desert by border invaders, criminal gangs, Aztlan, etc. etc. etc.

As well as the bills being introduced in various states to give even MORE freebies to ILLEGAL aliens!

Great time to bring this out ... Tom Tancredo answered a puzzling question on O'Reilly just this week:

Talking Points Memo & Top Story
The border & the American people
Guests: Sen. Tom Coburn & Rep. Tom Tancredo

The Factor was joined by two politicians who are staunch advocates of border reform. Colorado Representative Tom Tancredo said his colleagues fear the issue for two reasons.

    1. This country has become hooked on cheap labor. A lot of pressure is put on individual congress people to not do anything about the borders for fear of impeding the flow of cheap labor.

    2. The other thing is the fear about the political backlash that would come from minority groups. Those two things have trumped national security."

Oklahoma Senator Tom Coburn added that many politicians are simply out of touch with their constituents. "A lot of people in Washington don't understand the feeling in the country, that people want the border closed. They want it closed for national security reasons but also for economic reasons. Their schools and hospitals are being overrun and we can't handle the flow of illegal immigrants."

Representative Tancredo said the "Secure Our Borders" petition could play a major role in turning the tide. "The way things change in Washington is when people get upset and demand change."

    Denying "sanctuary"
Guest: New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson

New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson has vetoed a bill that would have made the entire state a "sanctuary." Had the bill passed, local police would have been prohibited from cooperating with federal immigration authorities or even asking suspected criminals about their legal status. Governor Richardson joined The Factor and explained his objections to the bill. "This hamstrung state law enforcement. For example, if a state police officer saw someone illegally crossing the border he couldn't call the border patrol. The state legislature was overreaching." The Factor commended Governor Richardson for standing up to the ACLU and other organizations that favored the law. "You did the right thing. That was a very courageous veto. It would have been a catastrophe for your state.

Since the illegals cheat the government out of Billions in revenue, why not put a dent into the money that they send to Mexico and beyond? The most common method they use to send money is to wire it.Tax it.Locally and federally. The more they send the higher the tax.Put a limit on money transactions to their region (national security seems to be as good a reason as any) per month per person.Require valid ID to send money.Provide rewards for those that turn in someone who is then succesfully convicted of hiring illegals.Control cash going out of the country via the border (again, national security-too much cash=contraband).Could something like this be done?
