    Spanish is a Dangerous Language.

Some one popped off and said, you can't protest, your not organized like the Mexicans. Well heck no. I haven't been planning to protest for months in a foreign language, right under the noses of Americans. Not as effective as the code talkers but there are some similarities.

You know, we should be angry that we have been infiltrated like this. Talk about a homeland security issue. We need to get this second language out of our culture because it is dangerous and a threat to all Americans. Not much different that the Rroma Gypsies. They are a very dangerous group and they too have a language of their own.

I wouldn't necessarily go as far as to say spanish is a dangerous language no offense Dixie,

I do get uncomfortable and agitated when I enter a place of AMERICAN business and all I hear is spanish speaking customers and workers, it unnerves me to hear a language that is clearly overtaking the priority over english speakers.

The spanish language i like to look at as the language of the world, BUT english is the language used in making the dollar, like it or not...english is the money making language, and money is the only thing that can really talk.

I really hope that congress get's tougher and doesn't admit immigrants who can't speak english, they must be able to pass english tests and demonstrate english proficiency.

In general speak spanish you'll always remain at a level where you're knocking at the door, speak english you can knock and the door will be open. (where America is concerned that is)

I think we should all learn Spanish but not speak Spanish in public -- that would be a good way to gather intelligence info

That is a VERY good idea. Beat them at their own game. I've been trying to learn Japanese but I'll focus in on brushing up on my Spanish. I've always held back because I didn't want to be forced into learning a language but I don't see any other option and since it's not to really communicate with these people so much as to infiltrate them and spy on them I think that I might be willing to give in.

I took German because a refuse to assist the illegals. I feel I shouldn't have to learn a language becuase it is forced on me. I would rather work with Germans than communicating with people that should not even be here unless they know how to speak English.

The Spanish language is just a part of the massive subculture that needs to be eliminated or the ones that are citizens will never assimulate into the culture.

It would probably benefit us if we knew at least a few of the basics. But I dont think school children should be required to learn spanish. If the kids want to learn another language, they should be able to choose like I did. Back then it was either spanish or french. My teacher would always say that it would be good to learn spanish because we are right next to Mexico. But then I reminded her that Canada's legal language was french.(I think?)

I had my son take 5 years of spanish in school just so he and I could know what they are saying when they think we don't speak the language. It was purely a safety measure.

Today's Latin immigrant does not have to learn English, although most want to do so, because of television, radio and church services in Spanish. Add every "press 2 for Spanish" and everything else and boom you never have to learn English.

The best way to learn Spanish is by going to any Spanish speaking country but they come here and many never get English....which is why Spanish needs to be removed from the schools! Kids can learn ANY language present.

I wish I knew Spanish - I hope my husband teaches our grandkids to speak Spanish, he's working on it.

My children took two years of it in high school and could ask 'Where's the bathroom' when they graduated.

But, whether we like it or not - many of these people are here to stay. Whatever we get done - and I hope it is a lot - many are here - and will be here.

Our children who do not speak Spanish will be at a disadvantage when they reach the workforce - that is a fact. WE don't have to like it - but we had better swallow it.

Personally, I think people in Texas should be suing because their children are not taught to 'speak' Spanish. They should be taught in elementary school.

For a large percentage of American children, Spanish will be as essential to getting a job as will computer skills.

The Mexican children will have an advantage in getting jobs, getting admission to college, in getting grants and scholarships. We need to do whatever we can to level the field for o ur kids.

It certainly would be helpful just for physical survival - it is going to get nastier before it gets better - if it does get better.

The atmosphere seems to be a little more 'charged' than it has been being. I noticed it when I went 'junking' Sat. YOu see a lot of them at garage sales and estate sales.
