LOL!!! President Trump is without any doubt the most transparent, most accessed, most open, most informative, most honest President to occupy the Oval Office in our life-times.

This Left-Wing Nut Smear Campaign about his statements, rhetoric and promises is laughable to me. Sure people are disappointed that the whole wall hasn't been funded, but did any serious informed intelligent person think that with only 52 and now 51 Republican US Senators when you need 60 to fund a program that Trump could get funding for the wall without having to give the Open Borders Amnesty-Craving DemoQuacks something huge in return like an Amnesty of one sort or another, that we oppose even more than not having a wall?

The wall is not possible without 60 votes in the US Senate and no DemoQuack is going to vote for it, so that means there will never be wall funding at any one time, unless and until we have 60 Republicans Senators who all support the wall in addition to a Republican majority in the US House of Representatives who all support the wall.

The Left-Wing Nuts have totally confused themselves by their own FAKE NEWS publishing thousands of fabricated lies about Trump, his accomplishments, his efforts, his work, his results and his relationship and communications with the public including his Trump Supporters. They realize they've lost their battle against Trump on "collusion", that black-mailing him with the "dossier" didn't work, removing him from office by impeachment is no longer an option, that charging him with non-crimes isn't legal in the US, that accusing and investigating him for potential crimes is a lost and expensive cause, and they're out of options with Trump Direct. Then they said, "oh lets go after his Trump Supporters", oh sure, do that. They've called us racists, xenophobes, homophobes, stupid, dumb, fools, "cult members", blind cheerleaders, and poor uneducated ignorant victims of "lies". We're none of those things. We're happy Trump Supporters knowingly supporting the greatest President in our life-times if not in history.

What this man has already done for our country and citizens is the most remarkable set of goals and achievements of any President ever on the economy, on jobs, on civil rights, on terrorism, on foreign policy, on trade, on immigration and as Commander-In-Chief.

So, Trump Supporters aren't going to be swayed away by anything at this point let alone FAKE NEWS about what is and isn't Trump's Border Wall, because Trump Supporters consider any new, improved, retrofitted, replaced, steel, concrete or even virtual barrier on the border to keep illegal aliens out of our country to be 100% part of .... TRUMP'S BORDER WALL.

That's just the way it is, and rightly so!!

And what to make of Mr. Trump’s supporters? While, they are not dumb, naive, or ignorant, they simply cannot take him at his word anymore. Should they do so, they are like those suffering from battered wife syndrome and are as Eugene Robinson writes, “suckers.” You can only be lied to so many times before you begin looking like the fool.

Trump pathologically lies to his supporters and they do not seem to care one single bit. Why?

I’ll allow the reader to decide.

Another lie that was destructive, and very painful to many of us was this one. I'll never forget....

“We got back our great fallen heroes, the remains sent back today, already 200 got sent back,” Trump told a crowd of supporters during a rally in Duluth, Minnesota.

Yeah, that was a shame, that was a false report from a South Korea News Agency, Yonhap, that everyone ran with and reported all the way to the President, that turned out to be wrong. It wasn't a lie, it was just misinformation communicated through the channels. Now, he doesn't talk about it all, other than to say more will be coming back. Until they board a US plane headed for Hawaii, that's probably the best way to handle it.

That's no excuse for lying to the American people. This thread is concerning the open-ended lying on the border wall, not who supports, who doesn't, how many votes it has, etc., etc., etc. You don't create your own truth just because the actual truth is less appealing.

A lie is a lie, whether you make it up yourself or are just repeating it. Remember, trust but verify. You would expect the most powerful man in the world to be a little more careful when disseminating information of such a nature. My guess is he jumped the gun and went off half cocked before the information was properly verified. I don't think anyone can deny that he has a tendency to do that at times.

This thread is about a FAKE NEWS article about the President taking credit for funding he negotiated and obtained to work on a 2 mile stretch of new border fencing in Calexio. Your article stated it was a "state-funded project" which is a LIE, the Calexio new fencing project is a federal project, funded by federal taxpayers, overseen by US Border Patrol as part of an emergency border security addendum that President Trump requested and negotiated so this project and several others could be completed as quickly as possible. The new and improved fencing will not be replaced again by separate Wall Funding, so in every possible context in our language, these expenditures on border barriers are absolutely part of Trump's Border Wall.

    Trump Supporters get this.

P.S. In the future, maybe you need to "trust but verify" your articles and videos. Quoting Left Wing Nuts about Trump will not turn our well for you or anyone else, in my opinion.

    A stated Trump position:

Mexico must pay for the wall and, until they do, the United States will, among other things: impound all remittance payments derived from illegal wages; increase fees on all temporary visas issued to Mexican CEOs and diplomats (and if necessary cancel them); increase fees on all border crossing cards – of which we issue about 1 million to Mexican nationals each year (a major source of visa overstays); increase fees on all NAFTA worker visas from Mexico (another major source of overstays); and increase fees at ports of entry to the United States from Mexico [Tariffs and foreign aid cuts are also options]. We will not be taken advantage of anymore.

Not that I'm counting, but was this another lie?

What BS! A President does not make an announcement like that from rumors he has heard on the street. The President waits until he gets official word from a top Military Officer with the announcement that the plane is in the air with the deceased service members.

Which article, I've posted a bunch of them. Geez, how much evidence do you need before you will actually see the truth? I've posted article after article and you've chosen to ignore them all in favor of Trump's well known lies on the border wall that isn't being built even though he claims it is. I need me a pair of those Trump approved rose-colored glasses. Were those Trump branded glasses given out at the rallies? If so, that would explain a lot.

Spin and obfuscations are no substitute for the actual truth, which for some reason you choose to ignore.

    TRUMP VOWS BORDER WALL SHOWDOWN

But jelly-spined Republicans don’t have the president’s back.

President Trump raised the specter of a federal government shutdown Sept. 30 if Congress refuses to hand over money to build the southern border wall that the American people have been demanding for decades.

Trump seems aware that, contrary to perceived wisdom, furloughing feds for a few days is smart politics that almost invariably benefits the Republican Party. Recent history shows that when Republicans shutter the government in Washington, they win elections.
"If we don't get border security after many, many years of talk within the United States, I would have no problem doing a shutdown," Trump said at the White House Monday during a joint presser with Giuseppe Conte, Italy's new prime minister who has already gained a reputation as an immigration hardliner.

Trump praised Conte’s stance on immigration and called U.S. immigration laws a “laughingstock” and the “worst” in the world.

“And I agree very much what you’re doing with respect to migration and illegal immigration, and even legal immigration,” Trump told the Italian premier. “Italy has taken a very firm stance on the border, a stance a few countries have taken. And, frankly, you’re doing the right thing, in my opinion. And a lot of other countries in Europe should be doing it also.”

Trump urged Congress to get to work on revamping the nation’s immigration system and said he would “certainly be willing to close it down to get it done.” In addition to wall construction funding, the Trump administration wants to end chain migration and abolish the diversity green card lottery.

Ever the dealmaker, Trump refused to be pinned down by pushy reporters. Although the government will run out of money at the end of September, the president did not promise to veto a spending bill that would avert a shutdown unless it contained “full” funding for a wall with Mexico, but added, "I'll always leave room for negotiation."
"I have no red line, unlike President Obama," he added. "I just want great border security."

On Sunday morning Trump foreshadowed his Monday comments, tweeting about his willingness to let the federal government shut down:

I would be willing to “shut down” government if the Democrats do not give us the votes for Border Security, which includes the Wall! Must get rid of Lottery, Catch & Release etc. and finally go to system of Immigration based on MERIT! We need great people coming into our Country!

Republicans and members of Conservatism Inc. have an inordinate fear of shutdowns, which, contrary to popular belief, often benefit the Republican cause.

This all-too-familiar gutlessness was on full display on Capitol Hill, according to a report in The Hill newspaper:

House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) met with Trump at the White House last week to discuss funding the government. Both men appeared to come away assured that they would be able to avoid a shutdown.

“The president’s wiling to be patient to make sure that we get what we need so we can get that done,” Ryan said of the border wall funding last Thursday.

McConnell told WHAS Radio last Friday that he believes wall funding will “probably” have to wait until after the November midterms. However, he asserted that a government shutdown is “not going to happen.”

Republican lawmakers are divided over funding the wall.

The House Appropriations Committee gave its blessing to a $5 billion appropriation for the structure in its Homeland Security spending bill last week, but the Senate spending measure provides a mere $1.6 billion dedicated only to reinforcing existing physical barriers.

Contrary to the do-nothing propaganda that endlessly dominates the media ecosystem, the shutdown won’t be unpopular. There is no risk, no political downside at all.
The Big Lie, as Dr. Steven J. Allen has shown, is that shutdowns hurt Republicans.
As a result of the 2013 shutdown over Obamacare that was blamed on Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Republicans gained in the polls.

As Allen wrote at the time: “The polls show that Republicans, on the net generic ballot for Congress, were losing ground prior to the shutdown and continued to lose ground during the shutdown… but, as soon as the shutdown was over, Republicans rose quickly, achieving an advantage in late November 2013 of between 1.14 and 2.14 points.”
And as Mark Levin noted on his syndicated radio show Monday night, he could not think of any examples of a Republican president forcing a shutdown on a Republican-controlled Congress that led to negative electoral repercussions against Republicans.

Timed right, a shutdown aimed at forcing wall funding could save Congress for the Republicans.
