Thank you, GQ. Sit back and enjoy the entertainment a little bit. We've all been working hard on the elections and a few more minutes of diversion might be good for us.

There are two others for hemorrhagic fever but they both map to Central America.

The United States Center for Disease Control (CDC) has stated that illegal immigrants are 8-12 times more likely to test positive for TB, as well as other serious communicable diseases, as people who are U.S. citizens. We can debate all day as to why this is so, but that's the way it is. So, I agree with Dee Dee--illegal aliens are walking time bombs in our midst. They enter the country unscreened, and even if they receive medical attention, they are likely to use aliases that hamper tracking them and monitoring contacts in the event they have a serious disease such as TB.
Acknowledging the problems that illegal immigration causes this country will not undermine our efforts to reolve the issue. Just the opposite. Ignoring the problems, such as pretending that the surge in virulent diseases referenced on this forum are imaginary, is far more likely to undermine our efforts. After all, if illegal immigration caused no problems why would we be concerned with it?
As to the assertion that most of us have it all wrong---that the real problem is greedy employers taking advantage of illegal aliens --and that increasing the minimum wage and enforcing US labor laws would solve the problem, I would suggest that the person who wrote that has it all wrong. Increasing minimum wages only entices more illegal immigrants to come. Enforcing labor laws that ensure illegal aliens are properly paid and work normal hours will only do the same. If we want to control illegal immigration (we can't totally stop it), it is the IMMIGRATION laws that must be enforced, and employers punished who willfully hire illegal aliens. If we really want to control the issue, we need to get Congress to back off from the Security and Prosperity Plan (SPP) concept being foisted on us by the current administration, which, among other atrocities, advocates for open borders. We also need to remember that we have a multifaceted problem here, with not only health impacts, but impacts on our social services system, education system, national security, national sovereignty, and national economic well-being. Illegal immigration is a major part of the puzzle, but it is not the only one."We have met the enemy, and they is us." - POGO

I have a brochure titled: "Hepatitis A and B Avoiding the Risk." It was put out by drug comapny; SmithKline Beecham. Under the heading "You are at risk of hepatitis infection if you:[/b] travel to developing countries (Mexico and the Caribbeanare risk areas)."
It also states under: "How is Hepatitis A spread? -mainly by fecal contamination of water and food, generally in areas of poor sanitation and hygiene." That was quoted in the brochure as coming from the world health organization. Gee didn't we recently have spinach and lettuce pulled from grocery shelves due to e coli? Well guess what e coli also is due to fecal contamination.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

The border fence is stupid because it is a cop-out from busting down businesses and revoking their licenses for employing illegal labor. Every single penny in the fence should go to enforcing labor laws. If we do that, we won't need a fence, because no one will WANT to come over here.
This is why this anti-illegal immigration movement is tieing its own shoelaces together in supporting the fence. It is a red-herring, just like this whole medical angle.[/quote:328yo4qu]
The problem with your staement here is Mexico is being used by ever other country as an illegal entry point. How long have you been following the Illegal alien invasion? It is well known that Africans have started to use Mexico as a way to America. We call things racism just to get attention. We reduce complicated problems to racism, not because it is racism, but because it works
