I hated him too, but at least it would have been someone I could feel good about hating and the sheepish Republicans would have finally stood up and denounced the same policies that are getting past by Bush now. At least then the Republicans would pretend to care about us. It's a shame. People voted for Bush to avoid Kerry and yet ironically they end up getting Kerry with an R in front of his name anyway. Unbelieveable.
Some Republicans with a backbone tried to save Terri Schiavo like Tom Delay, James Sensenbrenner and Dave Weldon, but unfortunately they were thwarted by the radical bums on the left and the fake Republicans on the right. Please support our fight against illegal immigration by joining ALIPAC's email alerts here https://eepurl.com/cktGTn

dman1200-Hard to believe with close proximity to DC that Virginia has such a problem with illegals, especially gangs.I guess that really shows how much the politicians actually care about the problem. One of my ancestors several generations ago was a Virginian (a Scotsman named Rev.Richard Larimore).

Ummm, I hate to break bad news but Reagan gave three million illegal immigrants amnesty during his term in office and that was like writing an invitation to the millions who followed, hoping for similar amensty. I wouldn't hold him up as such a great example of someone who's interests were all for Americans.

Reagan made a mistake and learned from it. I don't want to nor should we be in the business of punishing people for making one misguided mistake. Now repeating it over and over again (even intentionally repeating it) like Bush is doing is what I have a beef with.
So Reagan made a mistake and I can excuse his mistake, also alot of people didn't know what was going on at the time. Bush knows what he's doing and alot of people are against what he's doing, but despite that he stubbornly continues to push on and that's why I'm outraged at him.
BTW not that I'm for this, but if you were promised that there was truly 100 percent without a shadow of a doubt going to be a one time amnesty and then the borders would truly be shut and our immigration laws were going to be enforced to the T and their would be no more future amnesties period, no exceptions, I tend to think most people would take that deal. I probably wouldn't because I'm a hardliner, but I think most people would though. That is if everything was guaranteed to happen along those lines. Please support our fight against illegal immigration by joining ALIPAC's email alerts here https://eepurl.com/cktGTn

At this time, dataman, I think you're wrong. There are too many here, causing too much expense and too much havoc ( I read somewhere that the violent gangs in this nation (most illegals) outnumber law enforcement nationwide.
I wouldn't go for that at all. It's a BAD thought.

They were supposed to be from El Salvador and the surrounding areas, which was declared a disaster due to weather and earthquakes. EVERYBODY tagged along, swarming accross the border faster than the speed of light. And that includes many many people from Mexico

Let's face it:unless you know or are Latino most people can't tell the difference between a Mexican on any other non-Black Latino.
