The way I have been approaching the phone calls getting cut off early is by stating right after they answer hello,

Can the American people count on Sen _______ for a no vote on cloture?
If they say he is voting no, I thank them
If they say he has not released that info, then I launch into the whole lecture that

Americans know that a yes for for cloture is a vote for Amnesty!
Make sure that the Senator knows that 75% of the American people are adamantly opposed to this legislation and expect for him to vote no on cloture....

That usually works for me.

Works for me, too! I talk a bit fast they don't have a chance to say anything til I'm finished! Then, I sweetly say, did you understand that because blah, blah, blah!

Good approach to calling Proud, I try to get right to the heart of the matter quickly as well. They always want to rush me or get rid of me. I guess they are tired of hearing from us, however if their bosses would do their jobs we would not have to call ALL the time.
