TRUE THE VOTE STATEMENT ON NAVIGATOR-GUIDED VOTER REGISTRATION IN OBAMACARE

HOUSTON, TX. October 31, 2013 - True the Vote (TTV), the nation's leading voters’ rights and election integrity organization, today releases the following statement on voter registration mechanisms in Obamacare:

    • Voter registration is but one of many aspects that will fundamentally transform thanks to Obamacare.
    • HHS doled out $67 million in grants to Planned Parenthood, NAACP and union locals to collect data for Obamacare enrollees.
    • A number of the grantees perform voter outreach exclusively for progressive/Democrat Party causes.
    • Navigators and sub-navigators are not prevented from mining data received on behalf of HHS/CMS.
    • Many of these navigator organizations have voiced strong support for complete federalization of elections – a constitutional responsibility left largely to state and local governments.

“Perhaps one of the worst consequences of Obamacare is the threat to America’s confidence in our electoral system, thanks to partisan ‘navigators,’” True the Vote President Catherine Engelbrecht said.
“We are witnessing the organized subsidization of partisan groups to collect sensitive information on every American possible, in the name of the Affordable Care Act. Political organizations like unions and Planned Parenthood have been given over $65 million dollars in grants by the American taxpayer to sign you up for Obamacare – when they’re not busy knocking on doors for Wendy Davis’ gubernatorial campaign.
“Voters must be made aware of what ‘no reasonable expectation of privacy’ truly means. Your information shared with these partisan navigators will be used in political activities. There exists no check against it.
“Too many Americans already believe their vote does not really matter. As they witness their personal information being used as a commodity to leverage political influence, voter apathy will rise to catastrophic levels. If too many Americans stop participating in the electoral process, will we have to federalize that too?”

True the Vote (TTV) is an IRS-designated 501(c)(3) voters’ rights and election integrity organization, founded to inspire and equip volunteers for involvement at every stage of our electoral process. TTV empowers organizations and individuals across the nation to actively protect the rights of legitimate voters, regardless of their political party affiliation. The Voting Dead: These States Have More Registered Voters Than Eligible

IN NEWS, OPINION / BY DOM THE CONSERVATIVE / ON MARCH 25, 2014 AT 12:55 PM /

When it comes to the 2012 re-election of President Barack Obama, there is no shortage of voter fraud jokes, but many aren’t laughing after a recent conservative watchdog group’s analysis reveals a big problem among states with an abnormal amount of fraudulent voters.
Iowa and Colorado, two major, political battleground states are found to have more registered voters than they have adults 18 and older living in the state.
Washington D.C. has the same issue, and is scheduled to hold a primary in its mayoral election next week, according toTheBlaze.
Judicial Watch is threatening legal action against Colorado and Iowa if immediate steps aren’t taken to remove dead voters, voters who’ve moved away, and intelligible voters from the voter rolls, as per the Motor Voter Law of 1993.
“Specifically, we ask you to: 1) conduct or implement systemic, uniform, nondiscriminatory program to remove from the list of eligible voters the names of persons who have become ineligible to vote by reason of change in residence,” the letter says, “2) complete this program no less than 90 days prior to the November election; 3) conduct or implement additional routine measures to remove from the list of eligible voters the names of persons who have become ineligible to vote by reasons of death, change in residence, or a disqualifying criminal conviction, and to remove non-citizens who have registered to vote unlawfully.”
Robert D. Popper, former deputy chief of the voting section within the Justice Department’s civil rights division, said he was part of five lawsuits during the Bush administration over allegations of improper voter list maintenance since he was hired in 2005, TheBlaze reported.
“In the six years of the Obama administration, there’s been not a single lawsuit,” Popper, now a senior attorney for Judicial Watch, told reporters in Washington on Monday.
“There has been to my knowledge a demonstrated lack of interest in the Justice Department in pursuing these lawsuits,” Popper said. “In fact, the one claim that had anything to do with this list maintenance coming out of this Justice Department concerned the lawsuit that it commenced and then lost in which it tried to force the state of Florida to stop removing non-citizens who are on the voter rolls in the run up to the 2012 elections. Other than that, the Obama administration has no interest in pursuing Section 8 lawsuits.”
Earlier this month, Judicial Watch also sent letters to California, New Mexico, Kentucky, West Virginia, North Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Missouri and Illinois notifying them of “apparent problems” and asking these states to provide records of steps taken to assure the accuracy of the voter lists.

Covered California Sends Out Voter Registration Form Pre-Marked For Democratic Party (Video)

BY STEVE STRAUB ON MARCH 30, 2014 · LEAVE A COMMENT · IN OBAMACARE, VIDEO

It’s almost as if the entire healthcare law was a trojan horse whose real purpose was to register Democrats!

    Via KGTV News:
A local couple called 10News concerned after they received an envelope from the state’s Obamacare website, Covered California. Inside was a letter discussing voter registration and a registration card pre-marked with an “x” in the box next to Democratic Party.
The couple – who did not want their identity revealed – received the letter and voter registration card from their health insurance provider Covered California, the state-run agency that implements President Obama’s Affordable Care Act.
They have lived in La Mesa for years and they have always been registered to vote Republican. Now, they are perplexed as to how the voter registration card pre-marked Democrat ended up in their mailbox.
“I’m an old guy and I never would have noticed it, except I have an accountant that notices every dot and dash on a piece of paper as a wife,” said the man who received the mailer.
Covered California began mailing out voter signup cards to nearly 4 million enrollees last week after being threatened with a lawsuit by voting rights groups. But that does not explain the pre-filled out voter registration card.

Oh My: Audit Finds Evidence of Widespread Voter Fraud in North Carolina

    Guy Benson | Apr 03, 2014

This looks like a very big deal (via WNCN):
State election officials are looking into thousands of cases where registered voters may have voted in two states or after their reported death. A report presented Wednesday by Elections Director Kim Strach to the Joint Legislative Elections Oversight Committee said 81 voters have a voter history later than the date of their death. The audit further identified 13,416 deceased voters on voter rolls in Oct. 13. The audit showed 155,692 registered North Carolina voters whose first and last names, dates of birth and last four digits of their Social Security number match those of voters registered in other states, but who most recently registered or voted elsewhere. A total of 35,750 voters with matching first and last names and date of birth were registered in North Carolina and another state, and voted in both states in the 2012 general election. Another 765 voters with an exact match of first and last name, date of birth and last four digits of their Social Security number were registered and voted in the 2012 general election in North Carolina and another state...A total of 28 states participated in the crosscheck, leaving data missing from 22 other states.

According to this audit by the North Carolina Elections Oversight Committee, at least 81 dead people have been voting from the grave, and more than 35,000 people with matching full names and dates of birth voted in both North Carolina and another state in the 2012 general election. To put that number in context, Barack Obama carried North Carolina by fewer than 15,000 votes in 2008. Double voting, needless to say, is a crime. Furthermore, state officials were only able to cross check their rolls and voter activity records with 28 other states, leaving loads of potential data missing. The above news story ends with statistics that partisan deniers would typically use to dismiss the entire notion of voter fraud:
In 2012, nearly 7 million ballots were cast in the general and two primary elections. Of those 6,947,317 ballots, the state Board of Elections said 121 alleged cases of voter fraud were referred to the appropriate district attorney's office. That means of the nearly 7 million votes cast, voter fraud accounted for 0.00174 percent of the ballots.

Those statistics may be convincing to someone who hadn't just read the rest of the article. Several weeks ago, we highlighted a 2012 report out of Florida in which a local reporter took it upon himself to use a single, extremely narrow method to ferret out voter fraud. By cross-referencing Florida's voter rolls with jury duty cards on which people had checked a box declining to serve due to their non-citizen status, the NBC correspondent pinpointed nearly 100 ineligible voters in his county alone. Several admitted on camera to (a) not being US citizens, and (b) voting in US elections. "I vote every year!" one woman boasted. Last week, the California State Senate voted to suspend three Democratic members, one of whom was recently convicted of eight felonies, including multiple counts of voter fraud. Yet the "myth" of voter fraud remains solidly ensconced within the Left's political catechism. Voter fraud undeniably exists. The extent to which it exists remains unclear, as the stunning results of North Carolina's audit demonstrate. Voter ID laws reflect common sense, are constitutional, and are overwhelmingly popular. I'll leave you with the Democrat Party Chairwoman openly celebrating a court decision that halted a Republican-initiated effort to purge a swing state's voter rolls of ineligible and non-citizen voters. She tweeted this hours before the North Carolina story broke:

Democrats want "more participation, not less" -- even if that increased participation results in fraud that undermines our electoral system, apparently. I wonder why?

UPDATE - A Virginia election official is arguing with me on Twitter, contending that the apparent double voting *may* be the result of clerical errors. That certainly may account for some of the 36,000 apparent double votes -- but all of them? Even if 90 percent of that figures is due to something other than fraud, that still leaves 3,600 illegal votes. How many illegal votes are acceptable?

EDITORIAL: North Carolina answers Democrats’ question ‘What vote fraud?’

N.C. proves multiple voting occurs and dead cast ballots

    By THE WASHINGTON TIMES
    Friday, April 11, 2014

It’s an article of the faith of the Democrats that voter fraud is nothing to worry about because it never happens. Kim Strach, the North Carolina director of elections, has living proof — and some dead proof — otherwise.

She has identified 35,750 persons who voted in North Carolina sharing a name, birth date and Social Security number with someone who voted in another state in 2012. Another 81 North Carolinians voted after they died. Ghosts have no constitutional rights, not yet, but Barack Obama and the Democrats think rigor mortis need not keep voters from practicing good citizenship.

President Obama nevertheless insists on looking the other way when voter fraud lies all about him. Speaking at a Democratic fundraiser in Houston last week, Mr. Obama criticized “active efforts to deter people from voting.”
“The idea that you’d purposely try to prevent people from voting?” Mr. Obama asked, and answered: “Un-American.”

Fraudulent ballots cast cancel valid votes, but only a tiny fraction of 1 percent of the cases cited in the North Carolina audit were referred for investigation and prosecution, as reported by WNCN-TV in Raleigh. The North Carolina figures were compiled as a result of an interstate cross-check effort among 28 states. Such figures show Gov. Pat McCrory and the Republican-majority North Carolina legislature were right to enact a voter photo-ID law, reduce early voting and end same-day registration. These abuses of Election Day invite fraud.

The Republican National Lawyers Association last week urged state and local election officials across the country to adopt similar reforms “so there are fewer restrictions in sharing voter registration, voter history and Department of Motor Vehicles data with other states to improve the accuracy of the voter rolls and prevent double-voting.”

The lawyers’ recommendation follows the lead of the Presidential Commission on Election Administration, which in January urged increased maintenance of accurate voter lists to help reduce voter lines and waiting times.

The commission was co-chaired by Bob Bauer, Mr. Obama’s former White House counsel and the same Bob Bauer whose law firm last summer mounted an unsuccessful legal battle on behalf of Virginia Democrats to bar the state of Virginia from purging the names of more than 30,000 who have moved, or who have died, from its voter rolls.

A late education is better than no education at all.

True the Vote president calls Cummings damning emails ‘the tip of a very ugly iceberg’

April 12, 2014 by Michael Dorstewitz 114 Comments
    Photo: www.examiner.com

The explosive discovery by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee that its ranking Democratic member coordinated with the IRS to target True the Vote came as no surprise to its founder and president. She called it “the tip of a very ugly iceberg.”
Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., the committee’s chairman, released emails earlier this week strongly suggesting that Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., was in direct communication with disgraced IRS supervisor Lois Lerner in an effort to target True the Vote’s non-profit application.
In an interview with Newsmax, Catherine Engelbrecht, president of True the Vote, a Texas-based conservative organization founded to combat election fraud, said this week’s disclosure gives proof to her earlier claims.
“I’m thrilled to see that these documents are seeing the light of day and my current hope is that we continue on in this discovery process because we’re only beginning to see what I believe is the tip of a very ugly iceberg,” she said.
Through her attorney, Cleta Mitchell, Engelbrecht filed a complaint in February alleging that Cummings was pushing an investigation against True the Vote. He called those charges “absolutely incorrect and untrue” at the time. The emails Issa released this week directly contradict that claim.
“Now we find out from these emails released that in fact our request for an investigation really is well placed because [Cummings] was, and his staff, they were having communications with the IRS about True the Vote,” Mitchell said in the joint Newsmax interview with her client.
    Newsmax reported:
Mitchell said the similarities between questions asked of True the Vote by Cummings staffers and IRS officials at separate junctures strongly suggested inappropriate coordination between Cummings and the IRS. Engelbrecht said holding Cummings accountable is important, but the issue goes far beyond him.
“To whatever extent there can be disciplinary action taken, we need to be very serious about taking them, but make no mistake, Elijah Cummings, though very important at this juncture of this discovery in this investigation, is just one of what I believe will be quite an extensive cast of characters that will point to a much vigor, much more orchestrated effort to target and silence private citizens,” Engelbrecht said. “He’s just one of many.”
