Same old, same old. Same tired, worn out, worthless rhetoric.
We didn't need to hear this speech from a President who is no longer believable. I would have preferred for him to just zip it and let us hear more about the real Americans up in the balcony!

So many sickening LIARS!!! Are we living in a democracy???
If so, then WHY ...when the majority of the American public DOES NOT WANT A GUEST WORKER/AMNESTY PLAN...ACT AS IF WE DON'T EXIST????
I will vote against anyone who votes this way. I don't care WHO YOU ARE!!! We need to throw somemore people out of this government! When the wants and wills of a foreign people and big business are pandered to in spite of what the citizens of that country want...IT IS A SAD DAY IN AMERICA!!!!! YOU ARE BETRAYING YOUR OWN COUNTRY AND ITS CITIZENS. How dare all of you stand and applaud his AMNESTY PLAN!!!! YOU DON'T DESERVE TO HOLD OFFICE!!!Please help save America for our children and grandchildren... they are counting on us. THEY DESERVE the goodness of AMERICA not to be given to those who are stealing our children's future! ... and a congress who works for THEM!

01-23-2007, 11:11 PM #13Immigration: President Bush will call on Congress to pass a comprehensive immigration reform bill that will secure our borders, enhance interior and worksite enforcement, create a temporary worker program, resolve – without animosity and without amnesty – the status of illegal immigrants already here, and promote assimilation into our society.
That’s exactly what he said. Guest worker is amnesty for those who broke the laws of our land. When people jump onto the White House fence, they aren’t invited inside for tea. They are hauled off to jail. Hardly any ever even make it over the top. Why can’t they do the same for our borders? Why cant they enforce our current laws and stop employers from hiring illegals? We don’t make guests out of criminals in my house and neither should Bush.I stay current on Americans for Legal Immigration PAC's fight to Secure Our Border and Send Illegals Home via E-mail Alerts (CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP)

This President simply does not listen.
It is shameful that congress and the administration are deaf to the will of the American people.
Equally shameful was the fact that agents Ramos and Compean were thrown under the bus. Bush said something along the lines of creating a guest worker program that would take the pressure off the border, allowing border agents to pursue drug smugglers and other criminals. Simply ludicrous. Why should they? To be will thrown into prison for doing their jobs?
Attrition through enforcement of existing immigration laws will efficiently and expediantly repel illegal entry better than any guest worker/amnesty scheme ever devised. Yet Bush allows and will attempt to ensure a steady flow of cheap labor for greedy corporations, his bed-fellows.

Once again the president stood and spoke, shifty eyed with the smirk intact...hoping and praying that he can fool us JUST ONE MORE TIME...........Reciting lines that he hopes will get him through his next round of deceit and stubborn stupidity. I pray America survives the rule of this self serving prideful man.

Most of the everyone one in the gallery stood up and applauded for Bush gave his comments on his comprehensive/amnesty plan.
To all those in Congress that stood, and support this insidious, appalling disregard of our Constitution, and the devaluing of our national citizenship, I say to you all... YOU ARE TRAITORS TO THE CONSTITUTION, AND TO THE SOVEREIGNTY OF THIS NATION.
No wonder people no longer participate in the political process. Democrats are Socialist, and the other party, is just a watered down version of Democrats. With no allegence to anything, but the bottom line.
You in Congress have no concept of how strongly the grass roots American people disagree with this comprehensive/amnesty plan. I hear it every day in my daily contacts with the public.
Why would anyone take the war on terror seriously, when our borders are wide open. The war on terror must not be to urgent, or both borders would be secured. Whatever the cost! But sadly, Global Corporations will none of it, as they are the "true" money masters of our political process. It is all to apparent that both Parties pander for votes, and worship a the feet of mammon.
And the way you Mr. President, wish to deal with all those that ignore our national sovereignty, and break our laws, is by giving 12 to 20 million illegal aliens amnesty. What message does that send to others that wish to do the same? "And" to the American people that abide by the laws of the land, but are treated differently, and held to a higher standard concerning the law? We the people are disgusted by this betrayal! And many of us are working tirelessly on the grass roots level to see this betrayal of our Constitution, and sovereignty is halted. You work for us, the American people, "NOT" the other way around! "All"our elected officals would do well to remember this.
