This article is posted on the site and I just wanted you to read about NORTH CAROLINA'S ILLEGAL POPULATION:

Mandate Identification For NC Driver's Licenses
    by Nathan Tabor
    Jan 11, 2006

A lot of changes have been taking place in North Carolina over the past few years. Did anyone happen to notice that the illegal immigration population in North Carolina jumped 43% in 2004? That's almost double what it was just one year ago. We now have the eighth largest population of undocumented immigrants in the United States. That's right, over 300,000 illegal immigrants now reside in North Carolina. Is it because of our temperate climate? Our beautiful scenery? Not likely.
Illegal immigrants are flocking to our beloved state because we are handing out driver's licenses with the ease of movie tickets or grocery coupons. We don't seem to ask for any kind of real identification when applying for a license. We don't ask for a social security number, and we do not require any kind of proof that the person applying is a citizen. Therefore, it is an easy task for an illegal immigrant to obtain fake documents here in North Carolina, and many are moving here to do just that.
You seem to think this problem is only bad in the border states and this is proof positive that it's bad EVERYWHERE.

Oh wow, that's a lot of illegal akiens in NC. 300,000 out of 8 million.
You know I live in Holland and there are 16 million people here and so if I compare Holland to North Carolina, there must be 600,000 illegal aliens here. That would be a huge number, like a city as Rotterdam !

Fortunately, there are not 600,000 illegal aliens here. The Dutch census ( CBS ) estimates that ther're about 50,000 illegal aliens, so on average 12 times less than North Carolina. And of the 50,000 illegal aliens here, 25,000 are scheduled to be deported and thousands of them have already been deported. The advantage for the dutch is that illegal aliens can't get a driver's license or any other legal ID document here ( there's no such Matricular Card ) , the government knows which neighborhoods most illegal aliens live, and the police can ask anyone here to show an ID or proof of citizenship/being legal. That's why they can bust an illegal alien and deport them. That's probably totally different in NC, where illegal aliens can easily obtain a driver's license and the cops probably CAN'T ask for immigration status, while they can here. I also read that another Southern state gives illegal aliens a driver's license, I thought Tennessee ?

And how is that in California ???
Arnie is quite tuff on illegal aliens.

Thank you for the map, butterbean.
But California is said to have 300,000 + illegals, but I think the map could better have shown 5,000,000 +

I know I've been wrong all the time, I told bootsie yesterday through PM.
I saw some video footage on immigration watchdog website and it kinda shocked me as how american communists and hispanic radicals call anyone who doesn't agree with them a racist, a nazi, a bigot.
and they were very agressive toward people who just want imigration laws 2b enforced. I really didn't know that it's turned so bad back home, although I didn't see that much hate towards US citizens by hispanics in nyc.

And according to Tx governor Perry, the number of people who are other than Mexicans and looking for trouble has risen by 600%!

returning-resident, and that is just the percentage o fthose who crossed into TX who were caught. The ones who weren't caught are the ones we need to worry about. Plus they enter, CA, AZ and NM in equally staggering numbers.

Some claim that Perry is just peddling the same fear factors that Bush is peddling to try to get us to let him spy on us. I don't know but I don't like the implications. And by "other than mexican" in this case, they are talking about central and south americans for the most part who are members of MS-13. Our local news, at least one station, refutes that by saying that El Paso has no influx of MS-13, but the schools are filled with gang members and that is a fact they can't dispute because they go so far as to interview the kids each time someone gets killed for wearing the wrong color or having the wrong tatoo.

    Anchor Babies

Thelma, you could easily live in my neighborhood. I want it known to the guy in Amsterdam, I have two kids age 12 and 8, they are now homeschooled. I did this not because of religious beleifs, but the actual knowledge that the level of education they were getting is so unacceptable. My daughter was 5 when we made this decision, she had finished kindergarten and did not know any letters. Our son was 10, out of fifth grade and was barely able to read well and spell, we had made efforts to get the school to work with him. Instead of doing that they wanted to label him "mentally challenged". Trust me, he is not. Then why is this kind of stuff going on in the United States? Because we have teachers with liberal politically correct agendas to teach the Latino children first and the other kids are being left out, and falling behind. The kids lucky enough to have parents with the resources to hire someone to "help" their kids do well, but those of us who cannot, our kids are being left behind.
Here is an example of what we have seen in our schools. Our son started first grade in the Reynolds School District, Alder Elementary. He was placed with a teacher who's parents were from South America. She of course spoke impeccable Spanish. I had wondered why our son was not seeming to learn, and soon discovered that when I was there early one day, she did the majority of her instructing in Spanish, directed at the Hispanic kids. She read stories to them in Spanish as well. Our son was virtually ignored by this teacher, as were all the citizens children, she fell all over the Hispanic kids. He left first grade not knowing how to spell anything. He fell further behind every year, and then his last teacher said she thought he was "learning disabled". Now that I am working with him, he shows complete ability to learn and does excellent work. Our daughter can not only spell and read, but her math abilities are that of an older child.

This is what is happening to America. This is why I am here at ALIPAC, its not so much about me but about them.

Heres the other reason I am here, many of my ancestors were here (North America) since 1636. For many years they spoke only French. Then in 1889 my great-grandfathers family moved from Nova Scotia to Massachussets. He spoke only French (not even modern French, but an old 17th century version). He was 11 and had to give up his language in order to not only get an education, but to become an American. He never spoke his language outside of his household. I personally have never had bad feelings that he gave up his native tongue. He was proud to be an American, he loved this country. Why can't people coming here now feel this way? This is why I feel so strongly they do not belong here. It's not about racism, it's about respect for those that came before us, the ones that made this country for their descendents, my children and many others, not for greedy illegals coming here to breed on our soil and demand we owe them and their children something while they call us names, create ruins of our neighborhoods with their third world lifestyles and send American dollars back to their "uninspired" relatives that would rather take the status quo there than to have to work for change in that country like our ancestors did.

YES, I'M ON A SOAP BOX.

That's why I don't understand that we as the most powerful nation are not able to guard our border. I uderstand that Russia can't guard their border as they have world's longest border, but we should be able to guard 2,000 miles.

I would have to refute this because the teachers here don't teach the Latino kids, either. Many don't seem to have the skills to teach anyone anything.

For some peculiar reason, instead of teaching the entire class, they teach the basics to three or four at a time and let the rest fend for themselves while they teach that group. In elementary schools, that is. The kids start out confused.

Top that off with the fact that they have no control over what goes on in their classrooms and you have a recipe for disaster already. Now add in kids who don't speak enough English to have a clue what is going on who constantly fidget, do their own thing and disrupt the rest, compounding the problem even further.

Faking test scores to comply with the president's no child left behind (barf!) act is definitely not the answer.

Testing every kid who misbehaves and pinning a label on them isn't the answer, either. Do you realize how many people are hired to just follow one kid around to keep them focused and keep them from beating up other kids because nobody can legally control them?

At this point, getting rid of the illegal kids who don't speak English is only going to solve part of the problem as far as the schools are concerned. There is something much, much more wrong with the school system and they have a long way to go to fix it. You can rest assured that if I had school age kids in this city, they wouldn't be going to public schools. It is frightening to know that these kids are our future. I hope a whole lot of them are being home schooled.
