The Real ID will be repealed. More Americans are waking up to it and understand that this law is not a useful tool to stop terrorists or illegals, but it is a useful tool to keep tabs on all Americans and open us up to increased identity theft.

This is just the past week alone. How much more proof do you need that there is no fool proof protection on your information? Putting it in one place will open you to more identity theft. Not less.

Even having laws to notify you of a breach will not do much to protect you. Once the hackers have the information, it will be up to you to prove that you didnt buy a house in another state or country and then default on it or it wasn't you who went to the hospital for expensive procedures and never paid the bill. Worse yet, a hacker could clean out your savings and take most of what you have before you even know. Even with protections in place, do you really want to go through all of those hassles to risk your financial security?

Real ID is a Real Mess. Stand up against it today.

The new TSA rules, however, lack a critical phase of the Real ID regulations — a pointer system that allows state officials to determine where an individual’s driving record is kept. They also lack a requirement that individuals prove legal presence to obtain a Real ID credential.

The enabling technologies for the pointer system and database infrastructure for the legal presence reviews haven’t been completed.

That network eventually will link DMVs with federal databases that assure a noncitizen’s legal presence in the country.
The network will eventually link DMV'S with federal databases..

THIS IS A NATIONAL ID CARD, Plain and simple.

Not surprising, especially considering the fact that Los Angeles is probably the city with the largest group of illegal aliens in the country. As we all know, LA has a strong reputation of aiding and abetting illegal aliens. Furthermore, it would be easy for an illegal alien terrorist to reside, scheme, and thrive in LA.

IMHO, having Los Angeles in the fight against Real ID is nothing to crow about.

LA is the abbreviation for Louisiana. Proof that some people do not actually read the article before they Throw out an opinion.

You're right, I didn't bother to read the article because they all pretty much say the same. Must admit, I did think it was sort of unusual that the interest of a city in California would be something to boast about.

Oh well, I can live with my mistake in this instance.
