DID ANYONE NOTICE THAT ALL THE DEMOCRAT SENATORS ARE IN SALT LAKE COUNTY???? Is that a super-liberal county or what?? I thought that was the seat of the Mormon Church, so why do they vote Democrats???? Are the Mormons liberal now?
Oh wait, I just remembered, the LDS has over a million Mexican converts. Ok, sorry, my bad.

I posted this on the other thread. I already finished emailing Utah and Oregon. I did get this back from Senator Metsger from Oregon.

Thank you for contacting my office with your thoughts on SB 1080, the
bill to secure Oregon's driver's license. I have received a large
number of passionate responses from across the state, demonstrating that
this issue is one of great concern to Oregonians. As you know, ensuring
that our driver's licenses are a secure identity document is critical
for Oregonians who need to board planes, enter federal buildings, or
have their driver's licenses accepted as proof of identity in other
states. I am pleased to report that the Senate passed SB 1080 this
morning, setting Oregon on the path to join the 43 other states that
require proof of legal presence.
However, passage of this bill does not mean our work is done. The
federal government has failed to live up to its obligation to provide
the country with a just and comprehensive immigration plan. As a
result, states are being forced to enact piecemeal, inconsistent
legislation that is constantly subject to changes in federal law. We
must keep pressure on Congress to reform the immigration process in a
fair and responsible manner, without further unfunded federal mandates.
Thank you again for sharing your thoughts with me. Please do not
hesitate to contact my office with any future questions or concerns.
Best wishes,
Rick MetsgerRIP Butterbean! We miss you and hope you are well in heaven.-- Your ALIPAC friends
