Gee.....sorry, I didn't realize we were going pot luck today. I feel so bad.

Soft in the head is an understatement. There is just a real mental block on certain issues.

We have a border. We like our border. We want to keep our border.
We have laws. We like having laws. It keeps us on the same page. We want our laws enforced.
We don't want to take on Mexicos problems and we don't want Mexicos problems here. We have our own to deal with. I don't need to throw the baby out with the bath water to get rid of the dirty water.

Kniggit, here's my recipe for fry bread, enjoy.
    3 cups flour
    2 table spoons baking powder
    1 table spoon salt
    1 1/3 cups water

mix dry ingredients add water, cover and let set for a while.
make small pattys out of the dough and fry in hot oil till golden brown.
serve with butter or honey while still warm.

The time for annexation of Mexico was in the mid 19th century after Mexico had lost the Mexican-American war.

The cost to do so now, just in terms of money would pauparize this nation faster than is already occurring.

As far as I 've learned about Mexican-American war - Americans occupied the capital of Mexico and if they wanted - they could take the whole country as a part of USA - instead they paid money for the states which were begging to be a part of America because they saw it would benefit them greatly .
So , America not just paid money for something which could belong to it without any problems , but now has to feed , educate and support the rest of Mexican "babies" while they are complaining - the milk is not warm enough and we should call it "leche"- because they are not capable to say milk in English
When the parents are too nice - the babies get spoiled .
