Tell your attorney's that it is not my goal to provide you with material I plan to use in a lawsuit. And by the way, you might want to explain to him that his opinion has no sway over what I decide to do. That would obviously be decided by MY atty and a judge, not him.

4. That Ali-PAC's largest donor is someone who has participated with a white nationalist group, made disparaging ethnic remarks, and supported internment camps.

This claim is being made by Devin Burghart. You have illustrated that your research methods and past claims are more than suspect. Regardless, Ive never communicated with this donor and this donor has zero influence over ALIPAC, our goals, and our activities. I know you are very eager to redeem yourself after you initial attack on us failed, but you are really reaching for straws now. ALIPAC is not responsible for any of the actions of our donors. Actually, it’s a claim made by the entire Center for New Community staff. I’m just the messenger.

You don’t have to believe me, Mr. Gheen. You can check it for yourself. I’ve already included the information several times. But you know the information is correct, don’t you. You’re just trying to change the subject.

You may think ALI-PAC is not responsible for the actions of your donors, but you are responsible for whose money you take .

You’re absolutely right; people are allowed to say what they like. That’s the beauty of democracy. People also have the corollary responsibility to speak out when people say things that are offensive, or harmful to democracy.

You’ve never denied that what your donor said on the white nationalist American Renaissance website was offensive.

Organizations and candidates return money all the time when it’s been discovered that the funds come from a disreputable source. I’m sure you know this from your political work. Why won’t you do the same thing now?

If the NAACP got a check from a Klansmen, I can assure you they’d return it. If the Center for New Community ever got a check from an American Renaissance supporter, we’d return it immediately.
I understand that it’s a huge chunk of your budget, but if you wanted to be taken seriously, you’d give it back.

Once again: will you be returning the money?

I’m sure that candidates (and their opponents) are going to be very interested to learn that ALI-PAC is being used to pass on funds from such donors.

Not to worry, as part of our commitment to democracy, we’ll let them know that you’ve been putting cash from contributors to white nationalist websites into the ALI-PAC coffers, allowing your byline to be used at white nationalist websites, etc. It’s the least we could do.
