I think the Dems are communists or socialists - they want to redistribute the wealth to people who have no business being in this country! Maybe I'd take it a little better if these people were hard-working Americans who had lost their jobs to outsourcing or something. Then, they can use my tax money.
When I was unemployed for a few months, I had no problem taking unemployment insurance because I WORKED for it for 30 years. Also, my family had paid taxes for years - also, my family served in WWII and Vietnam.
We, the citizens who have contributed all our lives, are the ones who should get ANY kind of benefits that are distributed! I don't know why our gosh-durn "leaders" are so bent upon giving our money to others. They're even rebuilding Iraq with our money, instead of building our border wall or sending troops to our border - they can protect the borders of Iraq, but not ours!!

I am deeply concerned about all this talk about leaving our country. Just giving up? This is OUR country! How many of our forefathers have died for this country? And you'd walk away? I'm a veteran and my husband is a disabled retired veteran. We aren't going anywhere! We need to keep fighting, not just give up! We do have power. We have proven it by the defeat of the amesty bill. Doesn't that make you want to fight harder? If it comes to a civil war are you going to run? I just don't understand the mindset going on here. How can you belong to a group like this and talk about running away to another country rather then fighting for your own country? It breaks my heart to hear people talk about just walking away rather then fighting. God help us all.
I'd rather die living then live dying!

First off, I am not leaving - unless they throw me out.
But I certainly would make it possible for my children and grandchildren to leave. Either way this comes down, I think we are in for some very, very bad times. Should my grown children decide to stay - that's their choice, but if I could save my grandchildren the horror I fear, I absolutely will.
I don't consider this leaving my country - my country has already been taken.
While people were out here being divided from each other screaming about voting for this party or that party and being nasty and insulting to each other over some vile politician, the politicians were auctioning off our country . Some of us still haven't realized the party thing is just a sham. We can't win clinging to the shackles of party politics. That's the way they got us where we are.
Come to Texas and see what the coal company (and plants), the illegals, the poultry business has done, then contemplate what the super highway will do to this state. The Texas border is a war zone in many places. I don't even stop in El Paso when going through. Just go to the Texas coast and see the refineries, the chemical plants. When I was there recently, many, many foreigners - ME - people were working at those chemical plants - I don't think they were Americans.
If you do come to Texas, you won't have a clue what Texas looked like when the settlers came - in fact, you won't have a clue what Texas looked like just a couple of generations ago.
On one side, two ancestors fought in the Rev. War, and husband's ancestors were here to greet the Europeans when they came, so our roots go way back. My husband's Grandfather was just honored (posthumously) for being a Choctaw Code Talker during WWI. He always called it 'Code Whisperers'. Our families have fought through many wars, have maintained and sustained this country. On my Grandmother's wall were pictures of SIX sons in uniform.
Lots of my ancestors, blood, sweat, toil and tears have gone into the building and keeping of this country - I want to save this country.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Oh, gosh! The fact that our roots do go back doesn't make me any more of an American than anyone else. It is just that I was raised on the idea if we take care of this country, it will take care of us.
Well, I think we turned the 'care and feeding' of this country over to polticians and they run amok.
We also turned far too much of our money over to greedy corporations and they have bought and sold off our country.
We can vote out the politicians - and we could, if we would, get together and keep our money from the corporations. Money is what is fueling this movement. I think it has a more sinister agenda, but money is what is greasing the skids.
Just think if we could dry up the jobs by not buying from the industries that hire them, we will have many less illegals to worry about come election time. We have time, if we will get together.
If we then move on to cheap, Chinese geegaws, we could put a halt to a lot of other damaging things that are happening.
If we would cut up those plastic cards, or pay them off each month, we would cut out much of the wealth of the financial corporations that are harming us - as well as cutting back on our overspending.
Politics is good and we need to work hard to get good people there, and to keep the others as honest as possible - but that alone won't do it. As long as these people are getting our money, our country is suffering and our families are suffering.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
