Thanks again for the cool thread.
    Tons of fun.

Ps. 1948, here. So do not feel alone.
I earned my grey-white hair. It is the "new"
    blonde.
And I remember the '60's. Was an important time
for America. Just do not see many of "us" around anymore.
I believe they have all been assimilated into corporate worlds.

I had to endure the JFK Assassination on TV for a whole week,
And I remember watching lee Harvey Oswald "get shot" "live", because there were no cartoons on that day.
JFK's speech "Ask not what your Country can do for you but what you can do for your country" is why I went into the Army. I was in my 2nd day of basic training when he was assassinated.

I have a fun one for you all with age.

    My husband from Chicago, remembers:

    the Beatles invasion
    Kennedy's speech
    Kennedy's assasination
only 8 ounce bottles of Coke

    Me, from Pacific Northwest remembers:

16 ounce bottle of Coke (glass) as well as quart bottles of Coke with twist off lids, and pull tab cans of Coke for 20 cents
do not remember Kennedy, his speech or his assasination
the Beatles were old stuff by my time

However, I do remember watching the news as a kid, and seeing all of these people jumping on a helicopter, hanging off of the skids, trying to escape Vietnam, by that time, my future husband was home in the U.S. and stationed to another Air Force base in Arizona.

    Can anyone guess our ages?

Anybody want to guess how old I am?
I guess about the same age as me, because I remember those things too.
