Suzy Smart doll (as big as you were!)
Standing up when the principal walked into the room. The teacher would say, "Class". Everyone stood up and said, "Good Morning Mrs. Woodley".
She would reply, "Good Morning, class. You may be seated".
The smell of the paper your teacher gave you from the copy machine.
Film projectors and cool films with the lights in the classroom turned off.
Big sisters who teased their hair and made you choke with hair spray.
Those terrible shots the Dr. seemed to enjoy giving.
Captain Kangaroo (didn't like him - I thought he was too old)
The Dancing Bear (didn't like him because I knew he was fake and there was a man inside the suit.)
Mr. Greenjeans (didn't like him, but thought he was at least better than Captain Kangaroo)
    The Jetsons (good, liked them)

    I remember them all.

    Blackjack chewing gum
Wax coke shaped bottles with sugar water

Soda pop machines with bottled soda pop
    coffe shops with jukeboxes
    home delivery of milk
    Daily home delivered newspapers
    party lines
    P.F. flyers
    Butch wax
    Pea shooters
    S&H green stamps
    Hi-Fi's
    Newsreels before the movie
    Rollerskate keys

For you younger folks here, the milk was delivered in bottles sealed with a carboard pull tab and set outside your home, you had to shake it before use to mix the cream in with the milk unless grandma wanted to make butter.......and nobody ever took it from you even though it was sitting outside.
Blackjack gum was one of my favorites.

I remember all of them except the highlighted one. I remember licking the cardboard pull tab because it was coated with cream. I could go much further back then what you have stated.
Water pumps that had to be primed.
    Out houses.
    Ice boxes.
Big upright radios and The Green Hornet.
    Kerosene lamps.
    Wood burning cook stoves.
    Smoke houses.
Mary Janes. Patent leather with 6 buckles.
Pickle and cracker barrels in stores.
Asfititie bags hung on your necks during winter months.
    Castor oil.
    Anyone out there my age?

OK, well the only thing we did on TV was watch things like the new tv show Andy Griffin. Other than that we we out side, enjoying the fresh air. Just like I'm getting ready to do right now. Time for my hour walk/jog.

    Moon Pies
Coke came in a glass bottle.
You didn't have to wear a seatbelt and cars were made of steel.
$1 Matinee and the "Let's all Go to the Lobby" commercial.
    Drive-Ins
    I remember the re-runs?
Gilligian's Island, Martin the Martian, Lost in Space, Leave it to Beever, Batman, My Three Sons, Brady Bunch
The Incredible World of Disney and Wild Kindom after you suffered through Larence Welk.

    The flag had 48 stars

The most common American car was the Ford Mustang,
And the most common foreign car was the Volkswagen Beatle.
The biggest rock group was the Beatles

I had to endure the JFK Assassination on TV for a whole week,
And I remember watching lee Harvey Oswald "get shot" "live", because there were no cartoons on that day.

The thing I hate is that my son will never know what it is like to be able to run around all day with his buddies, all over the neighborhood, without a care in the world, except that maybe you would run into the local bully. Didn't have to worry about being molested/abducted. Heck, as long as we came home when the streetlights came on we were ok.

When cars had tail fin's chrome bumpers, and they were all made in the USA. Push button transmissions on most Chyrsler products.
When you didn't have to push one for English.
When people put America above even the land their ancestors may have come from. When people had morals and doing things like lieing and stealing were shameful. Ahh the good old days.

    5 cent RC's
    5 cent moonpies
    5 cent potato chips
    a 3 room shotgun house
a one room school with 8 grades
a community water bucket in this one room school to drink from
    no tv
using a horse and sled to go up the hollers
picking up coal falling from train to stay warm
walking 1 1/2 miles to school even in snow
using newswpapers to paper walls with
no water or bathrooms in camp houses
    no telephones in neighborhood
    playing "Annie Over" at recess
A fun thread. It brought back old memories.
