I am a Chicano who found this site from a link on another site.

You know this isn't about immigration, this is about race.

What happened at balwind park is just sad. You got senior citizens protesting and a big group of Mexican protesters getting in the faces of the anti-immigration people.

Mexicans have a rage of fire in them, which goes all the way back to the fall of the Aztecs.

I would be cautioned if I were the Minuteman or anyone else about stepping in California. If this doesn't calm down then there will be a even bigger race riot.

Why don't you guys just end this and work with the Chicano people of this country to work this out.

gato2005! Hi, welcome to our site. This site is not about race, gato 2005!! It has nothing to do with race. This site is about stopping illegal immigration and working to reduce the amount of excess legal immigration that may not be necessary or prudent. This site has nothing to do with the Chicano People. Chicanos are Mexican-American correct? American Citizens, correct? This site has to do with saving our Nation from being invaded by illegal aliens, people from other countries entering the United States without papers and permission stealing jobs, benefits, services, business opportunities from American Citizens.

Illegal immigration has many faces, many races, many languages, many sponsors, many profiteers and has placed a high cost on American Society that it can no longer afford.

The Baldwin Park protest was not against the Chicanos or Mexican-Americans....it was against the City of Baldwin Park for using public property and public funds to place a Monument, some kind of art which even the art I could not see, "art" is in the eye of the beholder, which has strange words engraved on it....that were inappropriate for a publicly-funded art project. The messages on the Monument were ambiguous and intentionally so...to divide and separate Americans from each other. It discussed this Myth of the Aztlan....which never really existed....at least not since America was formed. The Aztecs everywhere were gone many many years before there was a United States and may never have been here to begin with.

The Chicanos at the Baldwin Park protest, which was not about Chicanos, it was about the Art project that should not have been funded with City money became ugly, and dangerous, and at the end the protestors exercising their rights under our Constitution were corralled away by the City Police....not because of what they were doing, but because of what the counter protestors were doing---yellling hateful things, waving their fists, and throwing a water bottle that hit the older woman in the head so hard they had to take her to the hospital!!

The mission of this site is to stop illegal immigration and stop the flow of aliens into the United States...Mexicans, Central Americans, South Americans, Middle Easterners, and every other nationality from entering the United States without permission or papers.

There is no reason for Chicanos to feel any differently about illegal immigration than any American. American Citizens who are Chicano have the same reason to support this site and the mission to STOP illegal immigration as any American. If you are Chicano and support illegal immigration, you need to stop and ask yourself why and for what purpose?

If you are an American Citizen, then you are supporting your own self-destruction when you support illegal immigration whether you are Chicano, Irish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, English, Russian, Aghan, African, etc.

If you are Chicano, then you may have been "taught" something that was and is to this day wrong. This site is an opportunity to express your views, hear others, and work on a cause that will save our Nation. There is more to the purpose of illegal immigration than immigrants....it's about flooding the country with more people than the country can support to create a New Nation that includes Canada, USA, Mexico and any other country in the Hemisphere that wishes to join the new Nation called the Americas.

Mexico will no longer exist, USA will no longer exist, Canada will no longer exist.

This is about saving our Nation for American Citizens, those here now and those to come. It has nothing to do with race....except when certain Hispanic Groups bring it up as a tool to fight the effort to stop illegal immigration. They use the "race card" to try to intimidate when there is no truth or basis for it. Vincente Fox is a racist against Mechista, right? Vincente Fox is a racist against American Blacks, right?

If you want to point a finger at a racist, then you will need to point it somewhere else.

If you want to save our Nation, then Welcome!! We have all learned many things from this site and all the research and communications. We have all grown and grown together and are more informed and stronger for it.

I know that tensions are high. It is inevitable. The Government has failed everyone by failing to enforce American Law. You've got to understand that Mexican people suffered from injustice for so many years in this country and frankly like i said fire still burns in many of us. Many say people like you are racist, I don't believe everyone who supports anti-immigration is racist, however the same things, we take jobs, cause crime, casue high insurance rates, medical rates, and making the US a spanish speaking country is the same thing many thought about us in the old days and in response to that operation wetback was formed in the 1950's that anyone who looked Mexican was picked up then sent on a train to Mexico no matter the status no questions asked may more occured later on. Today many conversatives try to make laws for a crack down on immigrants in naighborhoods and give local police to turn in to immigration agents. Now the only targets will be Mexicans and Mexican Americans will be treated as illegal as well. I for for would not want to be pulled over for no reason and be asked for my legal status.

In Ohio blacks have been outraged over police shootings of black suspects and even had a riot over it. Why do you think they are so upset? Well for one thing they suffered a hell of a lot, and past experiences they never forget runs through there minds everyday. Are you catching my thrift?

As I was saying about it not just being about immigration. I have every right to speak spanish when I want, also the treaty of 1848 with Mexico and they sold it to the US afther the US/Mexico War, Promised we can keep our language. Today many want a enlgish only contry and are as we soeak making it a big deal. Here in Arizona a local town meeting turned racial, when local politicans and residents came to together to talk about the community and improvements, but many stood up and talked about illegal aliens when in fact the suburn nice houses were people with lots of money say they wanted illegal aliens put there neighborhod out and one was qouted "Mexicans are taking over our state". Crimes against immgrants have shot up in this last year and many were by Americans who wanted them out.

Media makes everyting worse cause the only stroies they report about Mexicans is immigraton. Never anything on Mexican Americans onlty sterotype.

Chicano means a lot more then Mexican American, A Chicano/a is a person who claims native american heritage.

Its hard to explain it much furter, no respect but unless you are a person of color you can't understand it fully.

If the aztecs never exsited in what is today the US then historians are wrong when they say indians came from asia and migrated alll over the new world.

There is many evidence that the Aztec came from somewhere around the state of UTAH. Not only the aztecs but many tribes migrated from here to Mexico and Central America. At UCLA Native American tribes from here in the US have studied with Chicano studies students the migration of tribes over thousands of years. One evidence is the language is spoken by a few tribes, the aztecs in mexico and five tribes that are in America. That is a link.

Unless "Mexican people" are in this country through a legal process they deserve any suffering heaped upon them. When you cross the border illegally you cease to be a "person" and you become an "invader" and should be treated as any invading force is treated.

Come legally, and it is a different story. Frankly I am sick and tired about all the whining by the "Mexican people". Here is an idea, why don't the wonderful hard working people of Mexico turn their many rich talents obviously supplied by their vibrant culture into effecting social change at home and reforming their own country ? Maybe instead of assaulting old ladies in a park, perhaps the Mexicans should turn their anger toward the corrupt Government of Mexico and fight for reform at home.

gato2005..thanks for the information about the Aztecs possibly being in Utah. Again, I said "may" never have existed here. The point is that the Aztec civilization in its entirely was long gone before America was formed.

What the Mexican native heritage may have been is part of Mexican History, but not part of the present. Many who came to the United States were treated unfairly in their native heritage lands. The Irish for example. What reception do you think my family would have if we illegally migrated to Ireland and demanded our lands that the English took away. Those professors and others who promote and teach this type of thinking are divise and anti-American in my opinion. Mexican Americans have the same opportunity as any other American. Chicano is a term I'm not that familiar with until recently. If Chicano means what you say, then that is a problem but not a problem related to illegal immigration.

Americans who had nothing to do with 9/11 now are frisked at airports. Grandmas who had nothing to do with 9/11 are called out, separated, interviewed, baggage checked....as part of "security".

In the enforcement of our laws, there will be legal law abiding Mexican Citizens and Citizens of many different nationalities stopped and questioned in the quest to search for and locate the illegals who are not supposed to be here. There is no way around that. If someone in a red 1988 Chevy commits a crime, in the search for the one who did it, many red 1988 Chevies will be pulled over and questioned. That, unfortunately, is part of the process of law enforcement, unpleasant for the innocent as it may be. But do not blame Americans for that. Americans did not cause the problem. Those who opted to enter the country without permission or who have stayed after visas expired caused the problem and brought the process of law enforcement and deportation on themselves as well as the inconveniences of stops and checks on innocent Americans. Americans did not create this situation, illegal aliens created the situation. Americans may have aided and abetted, and we now know many have. Those who have will be held accountable for contributing to this monumental crisis in the United States.

The sooner the borders are sealed, the sooner the flow of illegals is stopped, and the sooner this will all be over and things can return to normal.

With regards to speaking Spanish and the right to speak Spanish, I am not aware of that. This is the United States and an English-speaking country. Americans may speak any additional language they want, but in order to function in the United States as responsible American Citizens, all Americans must speak English. There is no way around that. None.

America can not be strong and unified with "little Nations" festering throughout this great Nation. This is a Nation that must be One for All and All for One. There is no way around that. None.

The concepts of Aztlan and La Reconquista and La Raza are divisive and anti-American. These concepts need to be put away. They are actually holding people back, rather than advancing them. They are glaring statements by those who make them, because they have been taught these beliefs, that they do not want to be Americans but only want to take from Americans. That is not acceptable here and will be tolerated no longer. Not now. Not anymore.

The concept of America and being an American is all that has ever mattered in the United States. It's time for those clinging to false hopes and bad dreams of ancient concepts like Aztlan, La Reconquista and La Raza, as well as those with modern concepts like Open Borders, New Hemispheric Nation, New World Order and One World Government to all wake up and realize that being an American Citizen is advantage enough and protecting it....is the most important thing you'll ever do.
