That's like jumping into the fire and taking the pan along for the ride.

I know a LOT of outraged Democrats! Where is their voice??

Maybe the Democrats don't feel betrayed by their party like Republicans do. It's pretty typical for Democrats to fall on the side of the bleeding heart - needy people that did it to themselves. Let us embrace them, keep them dependent on us and they will always vote for us.... Oh please.
I'm a split ticket because I don't vote strait party. In TX I do not become associated with a party unless I vote in a primary. That stamp will get you into the electorate selection process. You can go to the after election meeting, where the voting and selection of electorates from your area are chosen to go up the ladder....this process eventually selectes the Electoral Delegates to Washington. My history teacher told me about a local guy, a fresh out of high school and first time voter, who was chosen and he went to the regional level. His parents probably had connections to the party. Then again, at that low of a level, anyone could go and it wouldn't matter.

That may be.
Presently the choices are:
Hillary (card-carrying Socialist/Communist/Stalinist)
The GOP candidate (whoever is)
Ralph Nader (if he runs again)
Besides Ralph, are there any other known independent candidates?
What part of "We don't owe our jobs to India" are you unable to understand, Senator?

Re: Quitting The Republican Party
I have always been Independent and evaluate each election and its candidates separately (best person for the job). One warning however: in Florida at least (don't know about other states), you cannot vote in a Primary unless you are Republican or Democrat. What we do is re-register with a Party affiliation and then switch back to Independent after the Primary. It increases your junk mail tremendously but at least you get to vote in any Primary elections.

If everyone quit the republican and democrat parties, it would send a powerful message that we are taking this anymore.

Sawdust, that is true but do you really want to turn your back on people like Tancredo, Inhofe, Ted Poe, the list goes on and on of people who are on our side> I am sure there are a few democrats somewhere who is on our side""" Just teasing, I think we need to pick and choose our leaders by how they vote not their party afiliation!
