Stop the propaganda. About 1/3 Democrats voted no on cloture, about 3/4 Republicans voted no. Certainly not "1 or 2" And who are the bigger MOD EDIT, the 2/3 that voted the way they told you they were going to vote, or the 1/4 that didn't?

What propaganda? The actual numbers don't lie. The majority of Republicans have been against every amnesty that has been trotted out over the last three years and the majority of Democrats have supported them.

The accuracy of LegalUSCitizens numbers isn't really that important. However, there were only 3 or 4 Senate Democrats that voted against the 2006 amnesty that passed in the U.S. Senate (thank God for Rep. Sensenbrenner and the House Republicans that killed that one). What is important is the fact that the bills would have passed had the Democrats in the U.S. Congress had their way. Our Republican friends in the U.S. Congress (House and Senate) have kept us in the game, not the Democrats. That's not propaganda, that's a fact.

Now with that said, there are a few Democrats that have sided with us most of the time. Sen. Dorgan and Sen. Byrd immediately come to mind.

This must be the 2006 vote you're talking about, the one where 40% of GOP Senators voted "Yea," the one where GOP Senators controlled the chamber and could have killed the bill in an instant:

How many GOP presidential candidates in 2008 were pro-amnesty?

    This partisan bickering is futile.

Yep, that would be the one. Around 85% of the Democrats voted "yea" in support of amnesty. Speaker of the House Sensenbrenner (Republican) killed that sucker - THANK GOD! If you'll remember, he refused to bring it to the House floor.
