My vote is actually useless in California, we'll go for the Democrats anyway. Gore got more votes than Bush, but just because we're a republic and use that idiotic system of electoral votes we know that votes in Texas or California are not of any importantance. One is a full red state and Ca a full blue state.
There's that damned pesky CONSTITUTION again!

What a pain in the tush
Even more of a waste of time trying to understand it & why the Founders did what they did!!

Geez........it's a waste of time. CAN'T THEY DO AWAY WITH THE PARTS I DON'T LIKE? I mean, some of those parts just don't do what I want them to do.

I mean, like, I want to be like europe or the soviet union or canada or one of those other places. See how good they're doing? Why can't we be like them? Why do we need that OLD PIECE OF PAPER anyway?

I agree with most parts that's in the Constitution, but I don't have to agree wit all parts. It's protected in the Constitution that I can disagree with all or some parts that is written in it. The electoral vote system is pure discrimination because my vote in California is useless, just as CG's vote is in Texas. Only swing votes seem to matter in elections. I also want to get rid of the 2nd and 14th amendment in the Constitution. I like Europe too, but I don't like Norway for hunting whales, and neither do I like Canada for clubbing baby seals.
mkfarnam, thank you so much for ya help. My laptop & windows are working again as it used to be. Thanks to you !!!

    1. My vote is not nor has it ever been "useless."

    2. No, you cannot "disagree with" the Constitution, at least in any meaningful sense. It is the Supreme Law of the land.

    3. I don't care what you do or do not want to "do away with." The Bill of Rights is not up for negotiation.

    4. You apparently are not sufficiently educated to comprehend that the EC is an essential part of the separation of powers and that, if anything, it should be given more power as it used to have, not less. Furthermore, the direct election of Senators rather than appointment by the state legislatures was an unfortunate erosion of the separation of powers put in place by the authors of the Constitution. You apparently do not comprehend the essential differenced between a constitutional republic, which is what the Founders created, and a Democracy, which they rejected. Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner.

1- I bet your vote was useless in 2004. Texas went overwhelmingly to Bush and that was predicted months, if not years, before 2004 elections

2 - You disagree with the 14 amendment too, didn't you ? I can disagree with any law I want, yet I'm expected to obey the law which I will.

3 - Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't want Clinton get rid of the 2nd amendment ? Or Bush that also wanted to change the constitution and ban gay marriage ? The Bill of Rights must also be subject for negotiation, especially the 2nd amendment. Guns have killed too many innocent people, some illegals have gunned down our cops, what do ya think of that ? Why do illegals gun down our cops ? Because they can have guns under the idiotic 2nd amendment.

4 - I know that we're not a Democracy, I'm not illiterate on this subject. I just think that a Democracy is better than our constitutional Republic. That's just my opinion and my opinion is protected by the same constitution

Either way, what is so obvious and important is that anyone who expresses 'opinions', such as the above, concerning the CONSTITUTION simply hasn't been educated properly - assuming one has been educated in an American public school.
    {I'm calling it an 'opinion' because there is no factual knowledge presented}

This says volumes about our failing educational system
Something every American parent should be extremely concerned with as the future of their children is at stake here!

And now we know how the Klintons got voted into office

Well, there is poor education and then there is willful ignorance. I think that many people in this country are so damned spoiled that they think that by feigning ignorance (or actually intentionally maintaining it) that they are relieved from the obligations incumbent upon an informed citizenry.

I understand what you're saying, however, I truly believe that this type of attitude and lack of knowledge comes from 35 years of the Lib/Socialists infiltrating our educational system and dismantling American history and civic pride within the public school system.

All in the name of 'diversity?' Yup
