That is exactly right. That Inland Empire, CA is a reknowned hub for illegal aliens from South of the U.S. Border. A stopping point, a resting point, and a political action point for them to fan out into other States. The I.E., and it's political affairs, need to be carefully monitered.

If these counties secede from Mexifornia, form their own new state, and pass or enforce immigration laws, then likely all the illegal invaders in Riverside will leave.

West Virginia became a state following the Wheeling Conventions, breaking away from Virginia during the American Civil War. The new state was admitted to the Union on June 20, 1863, and was a key Civil War border state. I think it's a GREAT idea! Bet the Laws will be enforced and "THEY" will leave!

The only time in America's history that a state was able to divide into 2 parts was back in 1863, when West Virginia split apart from Virginia.

An application for admission to the Union was made to Congress, and on December 31, 1862 an enabling act was approved by President Lincoln admitting West Virginia on the condition that a provision for the gradual abolition of slavery be inserted in the Constitution.[citation needed] [15][16] The Convention was reconvened on February 12, 1863, and the demand was met. The revised constitution was adopted on March 26, 1863, and on April 20, 1863 President Lincoln issued a proclamation admitting the state at the end of sixty days (June 20, 1863). Meanwhile officers for the new state were chosen, and Governor Pierpont moved his capital to Alexandria from which he asserted jurisdiction over the counties of Virginia within the Federal lines.

Many voters absent in the Confederate army when the vote was taken refused to acknowledge the transfer upon their return. The Virginia General Assembly repealed the act of cession and in 1866 brought suit against West Virginia asking the court to declare the counties a part of Virginia which would have in essence made West Virginia's admission as a state unconstitutional. Meanwhile Congress on March 10, 1866 passed a joint resolution recognizing the transfer. The Supreme Court decided in favor of West Virginia, and there has been no further question.

I very much doubt that the state government of Kalifornia will agree to it. If the proponents take it too far, they will probably be arrested and thrown in jail. I think it's a great idea, but the powers that be are not going to let it happen.

I am all for it. Damned unions run the sanctuary cities. Union members sheep vote to elect all officials. The mayor of Lake Elsinore has the border patrol in our city once a week to clean the Main st. Ghetto out.

They can say they want to secede but it will never happen the congress and other citizens wont stand for it.All this is going to do is cause alot of talk and no actions.
