Thank you for the welcome, I had been growing very disheartened lately regarding illegal immigration and now see such support, it renews me.

I think you'll all be in for quite the entertainment regarding my typing, let's just say keyboards are not my friend! I'll take any heat for it in stride... :P

Welcome to ALIPAC, Sinthea! I'm so glad our thread helped you on the issue of Biometric ID. As to spell check, there is one and when you make a post the misspelled words should be underlined in red within the text in the box before you hit the submit button.

But don't worry. We're not interested in your spelling, we're interested in your thoughts, comments and support to help us stop illegal immigration.

    Hello Sinthea and welcome.

The spell checker at the following link has been recommended and used by others so perhaps you could give it a try:

Why would you want to give an illegal alien a national ID to be in the United States when most Americans want them deported?

This national ID is in the legislation that gives amnesty to illegal aliens. We don't want amnesty, we're opposed to it, so we don't want to pass a bill that a) legalizes them b) gives them proof of legalization c) requires Americans to have a national ID who oppose a) and b).

If at some time in the future after illegal aliens have all been deported and if there is some benefit to US to have a national ID, then we can debate that issue within the confines of a national ID for US citizens, but we should never ever discuss it within the context of illegal immigration and legislation designed to legalize it which is what the Schumer-Graham bill does.

I don't want a national ID. I don't want a biometric ID. I don't want an RFID ID. I don't want a Chip ID. I don't want any ID other than my non RFID driver's license issued by a state and/or a US passport issued by the US State Department.

I figured this was some kind of Trojan horse by Graham and Schumer to get illegals amnesty while appearing to be against illegal immigration. This explains everything.

    "Trojan horse"

Exactly! That's precisely what it is, LAPhil, a Trojan Horse. Great analogy.

E-verify has been very effective, about 97%. It has a flaw regarding the use of stolen social security numbers (SSNs). This is old news. It's been fairly well advertized someone using a stolen SSN vz a fictious number may pass the screening 50% of the time.

To eliminate this flaw in the system, E-verify has been downloading the data from a state's BMV, including the DL photo. If done for all 50 states, E-very would have your home address and a recent photo.
