This has nothing to do with the point that I just made!!! If we do not get involved/interfere----when our security and best interests may be at risk----other countries will get involved. This then puts us at even more risk/danger.

My goodness, I think it has everything to do with what you said.

I ask you to think about what I said.

We are and will be even more in debt -specifically to China.
According to some economics I have heard, they could plunge us into a deep depression by dumping our debt.

We can't even make all the clothing we need in this country - let alone our computers, our military weapons - and every increasingly, our food.

China will have all our money, they will have factories, they will have our technology and if they want Iraq - they will have that. They will have an army that numbers in the billions, with a 'b'. There will be nothing we can do about it.

We will be sitting here in a 3rd world cesspool, in debt to China, can't produce enough for our own needs, and we've won? Our security and interests are protected?

So, we borrow money from China - giving them goodness knows what to back up that debt - certainly not our not so great dollar. We borrow that money to take over Iraq to keep China from getting it?

Then we continue to make sweet trade deals with them and allow them to export cheap, shoddy merchandise that robs Americans of their monies. It doesn't give them more - it gives them less. They have to continue replacing and replacing that cheap junk year after year.

Now we are even going to share our weapons technology with them.

So now we have given our jobs to China, our money to China for their junk, owe China trillions to pay for our war (to keep them from getting Iraq)- they will have our weapons technology.

Thanks to us they have the factories to build weapons, the money to equip and train a huge army - billions of people - and we are a sick, depleted, third world country.

Sounds like we are winning - or does it?
You just covered another one of the many reasons we should be throwing our support behind Duncan Hunter! Not only is he the best candidate on the immigration/border security issue, he's also been insistent, for years, that we deal with China.

Hmm. Interesting. It is hard to believe that Ron Paul would make such remarks.

Actually I believe the way things are is that we do import 90% of all our refined oil products, which everybody probably already knew. What they don't talk about is we export over 50% of our crude.

The reason, we can't build new refineries without some left wing fanatics sueing them, for some stupid inane reason, to the point where it isn't profitable to build new refineries. I don't care about some stupid frog or other species that might become extinct. Build the damn refineries. I'm sure the scientist are good enough to take DNA and other samples from species about to become extinct so that if we need something from them we can manufacture it later.

Liberals let them drill in ANWR. Stop prattling about outdated estimates about the supply. Let them get some modern equipment in there so we can get real estimates. And something is better than nothing.

Stop pushing unrealistic ethanol methods, your driving the price of food up. Farmers switching to grow corn so they can turn it into ethanol. I may be wrong but I heard it takes 3 galloons of gasoline to grow enough corn to replace 1 galloon of gasoline. People get real!

These are some of the reasons we need to vote for any Republican to insure none of the potential Democrats become President. When it comes to our energy supply the Democrats don't have our best interest at heart.

When farmers are getting 8 times the money using corn for
ethonal than for food its not hard to figure it out

I know that is the story we have been told - but do you really think if our government - read that the oil companies - wanted to drill in Alaska or build a refinery anywhere that would result in cheaper gas - any environmental group could stop them?

Not today with gas $3 a gallon and up. They would be drowned out in no time.

Imagine if the oil companies came to the media and said, "Hey if only the government would allow us to drill in Alaska, we would have $1 a gallon gasoline in a year."

Think Americans would allow some environmental group to stop them?
    I don't.

You just covered another one of the many reasons we should be throwing our support behind Duncan Hunter! Not only is he the best candidate on the immigration/border security issue, he's also been insistent, for years, that we deal with China.

'Dealing with China' is only part of the problem. Contrary to what others have interpreted, I don't think Ron Paul would allow China trade to remain as it is.

YOu brought up Duncan Hunter so I will speak to that.

We can 'deal with China' although I'm not sure what that means. As long, however, as we are determined to continue these wars, here, there and yonder, and the military presense around the world - we are going to have to borrow money. I don't know why we are borrowing from China, I assume they are the ones with the money. So while we are 'dealing with China' - China is going to be 'dealing with us'.

To assume any candidate is going to be able to keep up the bankrupting foreign policies, which necessitates borrowing money from China - =and be able to make them deal more fairly on trade issues just don't compute.

    It just can't happen.

So unless we change our spending habits - bring down our expenses and our debt, China has us by the throat, and there will be no change in our trade situation - that doesn't favor China.

It has to be a package deal -

Geez, trixie - I just explained it to you not more than two days ago. Do you even read my posts at all? I'm not going to keep repeating myself because of your failure to remember the discussion we recently had on the issue.
