The Texas congressman’s second-place finish in the delegate tally in Tuesday’s five primaries bolsters his strategy to gain enough clout to mold the GOP platform to his taste come November.

It’s garbage time in the Republican primary and Ron Paul is getting his layups. Even on the unfriendly turf of the Northeast, Paul managed to pick up a handful of delegates in Tuesday’s Republican primaries. Although Mitt Romney’s nomination is all but a foregone conclusion at the GOP convention in Tampa, the libertarian gadfly is still trying to influence the party’s platform by any means available.

The five states holding primaries on Tuesday—Connecticut, Delaware, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island—were all prime turf for Romney: heavily urbanized, high-Catholic populations with comparatively moderate Republican electorates. Romney did as well as expected, running the table in Connecticut and New York, and successfully ending Newt Gingrich’s campaign by seizing the winner-take-all state of Delaware. But, in Rhode Island’s proportional race and Pennsylvania’s loophole primary, Ron Paul managed to slip in and grab delegates. In fact, Paul is expected to finish second in the overall delegate haul for the night despite investing almost no effort in the states contested.

Paul is focusing on accumulating delegates slowly but surely. As Rick Santorum noted in his CNN interview with Piers Morgan, “Ron Paul is working the delegates really hard. I can tell you that.” In fact, Paul’s strategy to work the convoluted process in caucus states has him in the catbird’s seat in states Santorum won on caucus night, like Iowa and Minnesota.

County Official Refuses to Accept Recall Petition from Scotty Boman
March, 29th, 2012

Detroit, MI - At 10:55 AM on Thursday, March 29th, 2012 Delphine Oden (a staff member of the Wayne County Clerk’s Office) refused to accept a petition for clarity review in defiance of Michigan election law. The petition targeted United States Senator Carl Milton Levin. Michigan election law provides for the recall of United States Senators, “MCL168.121 United States senator; recall. Sec. 121. Persons holding the office of United States senator are subject to recall by the qualified and registered electors of the state as provided in chapter 36 of this act. (MCL Act 116 of 1954) ” Republican United States Senate candidate Scotty Boman said, “ I am required to submit the petition to the board of county election commissioners for clarity review before circulating it. I was doing so in compliance with 168.952 of MCL, Act 116 of 1954. The county clerk’s office is the place to do that according to Chapter 18 of The Election Officials' Accreditation Study Guide published June of 2011.”

According to Boman, “When I arrived at the office (around 10:45 AM) I informed Ms. Oden that I wished to submit a recall petition for clarity review. First she produced a printed statement directing me to file recall petitions with the state. The statement listed offices from which official may be recalled including United States Senator. I informed her that I was submitting the language for clarity review and not filing the signed petitions. She then left the counter for about 10 minutes and returned with an article entitled, “Recall of Legislators and the Removal of Members of Congress from Office.” I explained to her that she was rejecting a petition based on an opinion regarding content and that the Clarity Review process was only to establish clarity, not judge content. She still refused to accept the petition.”

Section 168.952 states, “(3) The board of county election commissioners, not less than 10 days or more than 20 days after submission to it of a petition for the recall of an officer, shall meet and shall determine whether each reason for the recall stated in the petition is of sufficient clarity to enable the officer whose recall is sought and the electors to identify the course of conduct that is the basis for the recall. Failure of the board of county election commissioners to comply with this subsection shall constitute a determination that each reason for the recall stated in the petition is of sufficient clarity to enable the officer whose recall is being sought and the electors to identify the course of conduct that is the basis for the recall.”

“What is especially egregious here” says Boman “...is that she didn’t even give the review board a chance to look at the wording. All she did is hand me an article. The article is not an injunction, and it is not a law. In fact, this article doesn’t even address the notion of county staff members refusing paperwork submitted in compliance with state law. She has abused her position (under color of law) to deny the rights of Michigan voters guaranteed by Michigan law. Wayne County Clerk Cathy M. Garrett needs to instruct her to do her job. Otherwise, the clause about, Failure of the board of county election commissioners to comply... takes effect.”

The reason given for the recall was, “He [Levin] co-authored and introduced S.1867 (the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012) which provides for the military arrest, and indefinite detention, of U.S. citizens without Constitutional due process (Subtitle D). He voted in favor of the final version (H.R. 1540). In so doing, he violated his oath or affirmation.”

Co-sponsor, Warren Raftshol, commented, “It's time to recall Carl Levin. Now.”

10 Important Issues Only Ron Paul is Addressing

As we trudge through another presidential political season, the media seems to have already declared that the race will be between Mitt Romney and incumbent Barack Obama.This same establishment media appears desperate to identify meaningful differences between the two candidates.Yet they are in lock step on many of the most pressing issues facing America.

Sure they may have minor differences in how to bailout the economy through corporate welfare, or how to fight the war on terror (sic), or have a percentage or two difference in their tax policies; but they still view the status quo as acceptable. Neither candidate proposes any significant changes to transform a dying system that threatens to destroy the nation.

There is one candidate who's speaking about crucial issues that no others even dare address: Congressman Ron Paul. Paul is still in a competitive race for the GOP nomination despite every attempt by the media to claim otherwise. He has many more delegates than has been admitted and his crowds of enthusiastic supporters dwarf all of the other GOP candidates combined. In fact, it's increasingly difficult to believe that Romney has actually won any caucus or primaries based on his pathetic crowds.

Ron Paul is the only candidate whose intellectual honesty and consistency offers any hope of genuine solutions. Here are 10 issues that only Ron Paul is brave enough to address and propose solutions for:

1. End the War on Drugs: This issue is perhaps the most obvious area where Ron Paul clearly has the correct position, while Obama and Romney either have their heads in the sand or deep up the ass of special interests in their advocacy of continuing such a comically failed policy. The war on drugs costs the taxpayers billions of dollars each year with no effect on drug use. The only reasons to maintain such a horrible policy is to prop up those who benefit from the drug war itself. The only sane policy is to end the war on drugs and regulate their distribution and use. Paul also stands alone in calling for the legalization of industrial hemp, which by itself has the potential to save the U.S. economy.

2. Stop Corporate Welfare: From corporate welfare and bailouts to corporate personhood, Ron Paul is the only major candidate to have spoken out against these policies. Obama and Romney both supported the financial bailouts at the expense of taxpayers and continued tax benefits to huge multinational corporations. And Romney infamously said "corporations are human beings", which Ron Paul quickly rebuked. Anyone who believes Obama or Romney, who both receive foolish sums of corporate campaign contributions, will do anything to reign in crony capitalism is kidding themselves.

3. Bring the Troops Home: Although Obama will likely claim he has brought the Iraq War to a close, in order to score political points, he has only shifted those resources to surrounding locations and remains as militant as ever in the Muslim world by starting new wars without Congress' approval, while drone bombing several sovereign countries. He and Romney both talk of starting yet another war with Iran who has never even threatened America. Ron Paul is overwhelmingly supported by the troops because he seeks to bring them all home and end American aggression abroad.

4. Reform the Monetary System: The masses have woken up to the fact that the Federal Reserve and their predatory monetary policy is at the root of most economic problems. Ron Paul is not just the only candidate that is speaking about this, he's likely the only politician in America that understands it. Debt-based money issued by an unaccountable private entity must end. Until we change to a fair and sound approach to currency, America will maintain its collision course to economic ruin. Ron Paul is the most qualified candidate to navigate the economy through transitioning from the 'end stages' of the Federal Reserve system to something better.

5. Restore Individual Liberty: Civil libertarians are appalled at the Obama presidency. Just when they thought it couldn't get worse than under Bush, American citizens can now be assassinated without due process, jailed indefinitely without charges, must submit to a TSA full-body groping for the right to travel, have all their communications wiretapped, and can even be strip searched for minor infractions or the speculation of an infraction. Since Romney supports all of these measures and more, Ron Paul, again, is the only national candidate seeking to reverse these grotesque violations of our rights.

6. Stop Foreign Aid: Foreign aid, funded by our tax dollars, has been sold as a humanitarian policy. Yet, instance after instance, it has proven to be nothing more than a tool of imperial colonialism and corporate welfare. For example, AIDS medicine and vaccines for the Third World serve to fatten the pockets of Big Pharma more than they help the people who receive them. And military aid is always accompanied by a security agreement to protect American (corporate) interests, while the bulk of the "aid" is immediately funneled back to U.S. weapons manufacturers. It's time to end the madness, and Ron Paul is the only one demanding we do just that.

7. Repeal the PATRIOT Act & NDAA: The PATRIOT Act, which Obama railed against during his 2008 campaign, was renewed for a full 4 years by his robo-signature. Essentially, the PATRIOT Act laid the groundwork for the 2012 NDAA which openly declares war on the American people as part of the "war on terror". These bills remove basic civil liberties and constitutional rights making them unlawful acts. Ron Paul has promised to repeal them by Executive Order as soon as he's in office.

8. Health Freedom: In America, you can eat GMO foods, MSG, gulp fluoride-laced water, smoke cigarettes, take Oxycontin, and drink all the alcohol you want; but don't even think about drinking raw milk or using the healing properties of medical marijuana. Literally, no other politician in the entire country addresses the hypocrisy involved in limiting our health freedoms. Besides calling for the legalization of raw milk sales and legalization of marijuana, Paul also advocates deregulating natural health practitioners to expand healthcare choices for all Americans.

9. End the Income Tax: It's still controversial to refer to the income tax as unconstitutional. Yet, that doesn't change the fact that it is. The personal income tax is stealing from the labor of individuals. It's modern-day slavery. Interestingly, the income tax wasn't necessary in America until the Federal Reserve took over the monetary system in 1913 and debt-based money was issued. For all the naysayers about this issue, when we reform the monetary system, end the useless wars and other unproductive spending, the income tax will simply not be needed. Clearly, no other candidate would be so bold as to suggest ending the IRS while also having a sound philosophy and plan to actually make it work.



10. Increase Economic Competition: The current economy along with the government and its regulators are wholly run my mega-cartels. No genuine competition exists anymore. In other words, the free market is dead and has been for a long time. Paul's advocacy of free-market economics is perhaps the most misunderstood of all his policies mainly because people view the economic tyranny we have today as the result of so-called "free markets". Nothing could be further from the truth. Government regulators from the FDA to the EPA are run by mega-corporations who use regulations to prevent competitors from entering the marketplace. It's a scam to believe these agencies are looking out for the best interest of Americans. It's time to give small entrepreneurs the opportunity to compete once again; the bloated corporations wouldn't stand a chance against free competition. Ultimately, this issue is consistent with Paul's profound message of freedom. It must be applied to all aspects of our society, including the economy.

Thwarting and Defeating the Establishment By Becoming Wise to The Poltical Party Hack's Dirty Tricks and Tactics.

The mood of discontent with both parties is obvious. The left right paradigm has exposed themselves soon after the 2010 elections. I can recall the American people being burned when everyone wanted Bill Clinton out of the White House. People were looking forward seeing the White House fumigated after Clinton left office. People thought George W. Bush would bring real change. George Bush preached on a non-interventionist foreign policy and reducing the size of government as his campaign promise to the people. The American people were burned again with more wars, the size of government getting bigger, and the loss of liberty and disappointed again.

The voters thought electing in democrat-controlled congress would stop the Iraq wars; some even believed the Patriot act would be repealed also. People were burned again, the wars kept going and nothing changed. The voters were deceived with Hope and Change. When Obama said, "Yes we can". Now we know it was not a statement for the people. It was for the government to encroach on our lives. Obama not only broke all his campaign promises, He did a complete one hundred and eight degrees at warp speed accelerating Bush's policies he started and building on them with more Federal power grabs.

In 2008, the Tea Party emerged because of lost liberty and the out of control spending. The beginning of the Tea Party was started by Dr. Ron Paul This true grassroots movement was gaining momentum in strength and numbers. The Republican establishment has almost co-opted the movement with people like Gov. Sarah Palin and a few other neo con hacks. The media and political establishment brings forward Congressmen and minority leader John Boehner as the front man for the opposition to Obama's big government policies and the promise to repeal Obamacare The Tea Party was getting ready to be betrayed the people again right after the 2010 elections. It happened when John Boehner became the speaker of the House after the Republicans took back over the US House of Representatives thanks to the Tea Party. Now John Boehner is going to burn the Tea Party movement like Newt Gingrich burned the Republican revolution.

Now it is 2012, now it should be very obviously clear now John Boehner is the Speaker of the House being the handpicked man by the globalist establishment not to oppose Obama grabbing power and investigate corruption. This man was picked to quash any freshmen congressional representatives who have made moves to keep the executive branch in check. Speaker of the House Boehner was placed there to be the gate keeper for the globalist who is protecting Obama from the people rather then interpose himself between an out of control President and the American people.

Speaker of the House John Boehner is just another political puppet there to deflect and break the will of the people and the grassroots of the Tea Party movement. He has done everything possible to thwart the will of the people who helped make him Speaker of the House. He has allowed the debt ceiling to be raised after much opposition. He has quashed any investigation into White House corruption. He has made a deal with the President to end Operation Fast and Furious. John has not attempted to challenge any of the executive orders Obama signed with these power grabs when it comes to its war making powers. He has allowed the President to bypass congress using the regulatory powers of the bureaucratic process to implement laws the congress would not pass by using the executive pen.

Speaker Boehner has made sure no new freshmen congressional representatives or constitutional minded representatives would never be able to challenge the President or look into the corruption inside his Administration. To cut off funding was thwarted. The bills restraining the TSA's evasive tactics got nowhere and never made it out of committee. Congressman Ron Paul was almost cheated out of chairing a committee that was his by seniority, if it was not for pressure from the people. He would have been denied that position. John Boehner was there to keep the status quo in place. He is there to protect the political establishment from the will of the people and not protect the people from an out of control government.

Now we are now in another election year. The Presidential race is in full swing. We have the real grassroots candidate Rep. Ron Paul and the establishment hack Mitt Romney. Ron Paul was cheated four years ago tricking the party in the same Presidential race with John McCain who had no money and floundering campaign all of sudden a resurgences out of nowhere in New Hampshire with a media illusion. This same man thumbed his nose at the American people with McCain/Feingold Campaign Finance reform and amnesty for illegal immigration. The grassroots will not be fooled this time around.

The globalist establishment inside the RNC has already picked their man. The grassroots are now becoming wise to their tactics and starting to confront the hacks. The Republican hacks propped up Gov Mitt Romney as their man to run against Obama as the chosen one. Election fraud is now being uncovered and the people are now taking steps to defeat the establishment. They know Ron Paul is the front runner. Mitt Romney cannot draw a crowd of 200 people at any gathering while Ron Paul gets standing room only wherever he goes. The GOP base is behind Ron Paul, not Mitt Romney. This former Massachusetts governor is for gun control and Obamacare was modeled after his healthcare plan while he was governor. He is a vanilla ice version of Barrack Obama. There is no difference between the two. The only choice they want to give the people is as an example of, do you want to be screwed up the rectum with Vaseline or KY-jelly. The American people are starting to see through to facade of the phony left right game that has been played for decades.

Now we must respond to these tricks and tactics. When the media says vote Mitt Romney, push for Ron Paul as the nominee, not the sell out politician who is no different then Obama. If the media parades John Boehner or another political hack as the savior to be the real opposition to Obama. Push for Rep. Walter Jones. If they say Mitch McConnell as Majority or minority leader. Push for Rand Paul in the Senate to take that position. We pressure every freshmen congressional representatives or second term person to defy the RNC choices and put the people we want in these leadership positions and not the one the losers media paraded out on cue. We have to push forward those we can trust like Rep Walter Jones or someone faithful to his oath to take these leadership positions. A person who will chose the chairmenships of the all the various committees instead of corrupt gatekeepers like Rep. Darrel Issa obstructing justice covering for the Obama White House in scandals like operation fast and furious.

We now see the tricks and tactic the political establishment uses. We can start to countermeasure to keep hacks and operatives like Speaker Boehner or Sen. McConnell from retaking the leadership positions in the next Congressional session. I do not want to hear anymore naysayer’s tell me the game is rigged. If we do not get up off our rear ends to put some pressure on our representatives by phone or telling them in person we want these people as the leadership in the legislative branch. We were hoodwinked with Bush, Clinton, Obama, McCain and Romney because the media told us these are the chosen ones. We must not allow the media to make Boehner or any other political hack to be the chosen one to be the speaker of the House or the Majority or Minority leader in the Senate.

I do not care if we have to get nasty with these representatives, we have our choices who we want to be in these post. It is time we stop allowing the establishment to rob us of any more victories with another hack to co-opt the Tea Party movement as John Boehner did. If we do not tell congress and be loud about it. We will get what we deserve. We cannot go back to sleep after the election ever again and allow these corrupt politicians to be the gatekeepers protecting corruption in both parties. It is time to push back and say no to the establishment.

We have gone through this all before. I see a repeat of the same posts after every primary yet the outcome has impressed us in the end. Our efforts are not lost! Stay focused on what we are doing. In case you haven't noticed, it's working.

Are we winning? No. Is this campaign a long shot? Yes.

What we are doing is exactly what our Leader intended. We are the irate minority setting the brush fires of Liberty. This may sound like a long winded cliche to many but Ron Paul and this movement will go into the history books as a time of great importance for our Republic. And Dr. Paul knows this more than anybody.

I am representing Texas at the State Convention and I will fight, argue, scratch, crawl and beg for what is ours. I have no limits. No matter the outcome this country has an army of patriots as proven in our efforts and that would make Jefferson smile.

Fight on for Liberty! We have Gods hand!
