Exactly. When illegal immigrants get emergency hospital care, it's a matter of survival to them. Life and death. Blame the system that allows the degradation of care that results in the long run. As for the Mexican government, they're to blame. But so is the negative impacts the US economy and some corporations have on Mexico. We're really spoiled brats compared to much of the world. I'm here literally making every piece of clothing I use last for as many years as I possibly can and I haven't driven my car in about 4 weeks to avoid poluting the air and contributing to traffic while others are putting themselves into DEBT by doing the absolute opposite, joyriding for whatever reason and buying clothing like they're disposable items. I'm in the opposite of debt, I have thousands saved up yet I haven't worked in months. Gee, wouldn't you think it's also lifestyle that affects how you're living. Living in luxury isn't exactly living in luxury afterall.

I don't know who the hell I'm interacting with anymore. Legal immigrant or illegal immigrant. According to President Bush there is no difference. Since he's the president and I have no choice but to except his views and decisions I'll just say what the hell.

What LUXURY? You really are disillusioned. My truck is 12 years old and I'm feeding 3 kids as a single dad, making half as much as I made 15 years ago. You have absolutely NO IDEA of what you're talking about.

Again i'm not dismissing your situation. But can the same be said for much of the American population?

The government is making no where near as much off of the illegal aliens as private industry and the Mexican government. Most people don't really hate illegals. They just feel that they shouldn't be in the US.

So it is OK for some Americans to endure hardships as long as the majority are doing OK??

    What a jerk!

Personally, I don't begrudge anyone for having it better than I do so long as they do it LEGALLY. I wouldn't have any problem with the competition for jobs if it was done LEGALLY.

It's the ILLEGAL part that gets to me. As an American, if I broke all those laws that most illegal aliens break, I'd get 10 years in prison. You guys want CITIZENSHIP!

    No way, Jose. Fair warning.

Do I know any illegals personally? Yes. I was raised in Texas...it's almost impossible in Texas to NOT know illegals personally.

One instance...a man walked across the border, married an American. That allowed him to bring his parents, his brothers and sisters, their spouses, followed by the parents of all of those.

He's a nice person...however....I don't thank him for bringing more than 400 people to the USA...

I was gonna elaborate a bit, in general terms, but I got interrupted by someone in person here.

I know that adjustments can be made to certain fields of work so that people can live more securely with good work pay. I know that illegal aliens will probably get less priority in this, depends on what their fate is, deportation or amnesty. I know that this isn't gonna be done by the employers(yes, those people, surprise!) that have decided in their actions to put some workers in this situation. So with this general idea, there would have to be some things mandated like good pay with enforcement and accountability. Also, a more planned out and strategized distribution of jobs. Aspects of socialism here. Now, don't cringe away just yet. I'm not talking about turning the US into a socialist state. Much of the bad stuff you hear about communist and socialist countries are from the countries and conditions themselves, not necessarily the idea of socialism or communism itself. But really, when capitalism is left to its own devices, the kind of situation that some people are in right now will result.

And yes I want secure borders.
