We do not know that is the case here.

His own admission of a DUI at 10am on his way to work would be a good indication that the man was well-acquainted with the bottle, IMHO.
1 DUI does not make a person a alcoholic.. thats something for a professional to determine, not us.

I agree, but driving drunk at 10am is a whole different story than driving drunk at 10pm.

LOL, true, but you can't correlate DUI's with someone being a alcoholic.. Where I live, we have tons of casinos and they serve free alcohol.. The boats are open 24/7.. we have DUI arrests at all hours of the day, everyday..

What a tragic story! My first reaction is...'Judge not, lest ye be judged'. This is a terribly sick man...physically and mentally. He might have been trying to commit suicide 'by cop'. Desperate men do desperate things! And this was truly a psycotic episode. His photo tells it all. I pray that he and his family will heal.

Well, the reports say that Mr. Lowery may not survive his injuries due to his existing health conditions.
I am really sorry to hear that. I agree that the email was definitely grounds for firing, but I have seen many employers put up with issues such as that, and not fire. I have to feel that this guy had other things going on at work and this just sealed the deal.

You must live in Bullhead City, Az. Deputy...

The dead giveaway was "The boats are open 24/7". I've got 2 brothers there and used to live there myself.
