Are you sure Ahmadinejad does not know? Lets look at Obama's strong condemnation of the situtation:

I would also suggest for the states the same mandatory eligibility compliance and background requirements be imposed on all individual federal senators and congressmen. No sense in allowing anyone to get into any federal elected office that is not a verified natural born U.S. citizen with a clean record, and who would NOT ultimately be eligible to be POTUS (either by election or by emergency).

States can enforce the eligibility requirements on their own governors and state senators and representatives if they think it is a good idea. I raise this 'state' question because Bobby Jindel (Governor of Louisiana) is being talked about as a potential GOP presidential candidate in 2012, and he's NOT a natural born citizen - a fact that everyone who loves him as governor seems to be ignoring. It's OK for Jindel to be a state governor because, as governor, he's not in the eligibility chain to become POTUS. States aren't required to be anal about nbc status of their own elected state officials, but the people the states send to Washington should be required to conform.

I don't want to have us all go through this POTUS eligibility fire drill every four years, so an ounce of prevention ahead of time is well worth a pound of cure at a later time.

Interesting idea about making Reps and Senators show status as nbc'ers. It was floated many years ago.

A new group is set to launch in the House of Representatives, made up of conservatives set on defending American power and interests against encroachment from international institutions: The Congressional Sovereignty Caucus.

Their kickoff meeting will be this coming Wednesday, featuring co-founders Reps. Doug Lamborn (R-CO) and Thaddeus McCotter (R-MI), plus Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) -- and special guests Oliver North, Frank Gaffney and Doug Feith.

Rep. Lamborn declined to comment, but his office did point us to an opinion column he wrote last week, mainly targeted at the nomination of Harold Koh to be the legal counsel to the State Department, in which he explained the importance of American sovereignty.

"Sovereignty is vital for America because we are an exceptional nation," wrote Lamborn, "one uniquely blessed with a vibrant Judeo-Christian heritage, as demonstrated both through its founding documents and by the witness of history. For any nation, and I believe especially for America, to give up any degree of control of its destiny to transnational bodies is irresponsible and wrong."

Their first meeting sure will have an interesting line-up. North, for example, covertly sold weapons to the Khomeini regime in Iran and then wore his Marine uniform at a Congressional hearing in order to justify himself. And Gaffney has written opinion columns in which he's raised suspicions that President Obama might not be a natural-born citizen, or could be a secret Muslim.

Farah's $10,000 birth certificate challenge
Editor encourages readers to help him up the ante

WASHINGTON – WND Editor and Chief Executive Officer Joseph Farah is offering a $10,000 reward to anyone who can prove he or she was present at the birth of Barack Obama – and he's asking Americans to donate to the cause in hopes of raising the bounty to an irresistible amount.

"Barack Obama claims to have been born in Honolulu Aug. 4, 1961," explains Farah. "His entire constitutional claim to the presidency rests on this premise. Yet, he refuses to release a copy of his long-form birth certificate – the only document that could possibly corroborate his claim. Therefore, in the interest of truth, justice and the Constitution, I am making the extraordinary offer to entice someone to come forward with the facts of his birth – whether it took place in Hawaii or elsewhere."

Obama has steadfastly refused to release evidence of that Hawaiian birth – a valid, long-form birth certificate that would show details of the birth, such as the hospital and the attending physician. Because the short-form "certification of live birth" he released to select news organization was at least sometimes issued for foreign births on the basis of an affidavit by one parent, it proves nothing as far as constitutional eligibility – and, in fact, raises suspicions about a foreign birth.

To date, no hospital in Hawaii has come forward to claim this historic birth.

No doctor or nurse has come forward to say they were present for that historic birth.

No witness of any kind has come forward to say they have first-hand knowledge or involvement in that historic birth – at least in Hawaii.

Obama's paternal grandmother, Sarah Obama, claims to have been present for the birth in Mombassa, Kenya.

"It is clear now that Obama will never willingly release his birth certificate," said Farah. "It's time for Americans who still value the Constitution to step up and force the issue. It's time for us to learn the truth of where Obama was born. We may find he was born in Hawaii. We may find he was born elsewhere. I have no pre-conceived ideas. But this issue has haunted the American people long enough. It's time for some truth and transparency."

To collect the reward, the subject must:

1. Agree to an interview with WND journalists;

2. Provide persuasive evidence, such as pictures, documents or verifiable details;

3. Agree to a polygraph test.

"I think it's disgraceful that Americans should be forced to go to such lengths by the intransigence of public officials toward accountability," said Farah. "But that is what it has come to in 2009 with our current president. He prefers to dodge and weave, while his apologists in government and media viciously attack citizens for attempting to see that the Constitution is observed."

Farah launched a petition drive earlier this year that has accumulated nearly 400,000 signatures demanding that all controlling legal authorities pursue proof of Obama's status as a "natural born citizen." That petition campaign is still on-going.

More recently, he launched a billboard campaign raising the simple question, "Where's the birth certificate?" That campaign has raised $85,000 so far. Farah says there are plenty of billboards available, despite a ban on the campaign by several major outdoor advertising companies. But donations have dried up because of an apparent misperception among readers that billboards are not available due to the bans imposed by a few companies.

In addition, Farah points out those interested in backing his latest campaign can also raise visibility for the issue by purchasing magnetic bumper stickers, tea party rally signs and yard signs that raise the same simple question, "Where's the birth certificate?"

All funds not used specifically for a reward will go toward the purchase of more billboard space.

KOGELO, Kenya - Last Sunday morning, while Barack Obama stumped in Colorado, his paternal grandmother, 86-year-old "Mama Sarah" Obama, stood before a microphone and a crowd of several hundred villagers on a plot of land in Kogelo. Beside her was Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga, whose helicopter had descended unexpectedly onto her tin-roofed homestead moments earlier. Streams of excited villagers ran across the surrounding corn and cassava fields and from a soccer game at Senator Barack Obama Secondary School.

Odinga addressed the crowd and the Kenyan TV cameras that followed him in Luo, the local tongue: "Today we have gathered here to say hello to Mama Sarah. The boy from here, he's gone to compete. We are praying for him so that he succeeds. Are you happy with Obama?"

"We are happy!" the crowd responded.

"Are you happy with him?"

"We are!"

Though I may have been the only person for miles around who actually has a vote in the U.S. presidential election, the occasion seemed oddly like a campaign rally. In a sense, it was. For Prime Minister Odinga, who, like the Obamas, belongs to the Luo tribe, and whose loss in a tainted presidential election last December touched off devastating ethnic violence, the appearance with Sarah Obama was not only an expression of solidarity, but also unambiguous political groundwork for what he might one day claim as a direct channel to the White House. For Obama's grandmother, the arrival of the Kenyan prime minister was another indication of how the phenomenal rise of an Obama child has changed the lives of the other Obama family half a world away.

"At the beginning, I thought it was something that would be short-lived, but it's been getting bigger every day," Obama's uncle Said had told me earlier that day on the drive from the provincial city in Kisumu for what I expected would be a quiet interview with the family matriarch. "It will continue to be a major preoccupation - or maybe my employment." Said wasn't referring only to his changed daily routine, which now involves rising at 4 a.m. to track the latest U.S. campaign news on Anderson Cooper 360 - "people will ask me to comment on a development, and I don't want to be caught unawares" - before a full workday as a technician for a spirits company, followed by night school for his business management degree. Said was also referring to what it has meant, and what it may mean for at least the next four years, to be an Obama in Kenya: the frequent visits from people asking for money or help getting a U.S. visa; the requests to help sponsor scholarships for study in the United States; and the random pale faces, African dignitaries, and international journalists that have been arriving at Mama Sarah's home on a daily basis for the last year, paying respects and seeking favors and quotes.

"You can't fail to see there's a perception that we are in a better place economically," Said said. "People know that if you are in a senior position, you become rich. Leaders here steal. But our lives go on. We are a hardworking family. We should not just stand idly and think Barack is going to fix everything for us."

A 36-year-old cousin of Barack's, a hairdresser in Nairobi who has returned to Kogelo to support Mama Sarah during the final weeks of the campaign, told me that he tries to maintain a low profile. "I won't be able to walk freely," he said, asking that his name not be publicized out of concern for both unwanted attention and personal safety. His girlfriend, he added, doesn't even know about his family ties to the U.S. senator. "She might think I've been hiding money from her. She'll expect a lot." Last August, Italian Vanity Fair "discovered" Barack's half-brother George, who lives in the marginalized outskirts of Nairobi; his plight was sensationalized by international media and in turn exploited by conservatives who suggested that the candidate doesn't care for his own family. Because of the widely brachiated nature of the Kenyan Obama family tree, as for many traditional African families, notions of family are very complicated. Certainly, the Obamas that Barack seems closest with appear loved, financially secure, and not at all resentful.

A perception of family wealth was likely the motive of an attempted burglary of Mama Sarah's home in September. When I arrived at the homestead, I was met by armed Kenyan police officers posted behind a newly erected 8-foot fence. I was asked to sign a visitors log. Hundreds of names from all over the world had filled the book since the first entry on Sept. 16. The guards were securing what may be the world's most modest gated compound: With the exception of a small solar panel on the corrugated tin roof of Mama Sarah's two-room home, the most obvious signs of affluence appeared to be a pair of cows, which mooed as I walked in.

Mama Sarah's living room had obviously been configured to accommodate visiting delegations. Several wood couches and chairs were neatly arranged arm-to-arm around the perimeter of the cement floor, their cushions covered by plain white cloths with embroidered fringes. A television draped in a decorative cloth sat atop a table in one corner, and a life-size photo cutout of a smiling Barack presided over the room from another. Other Barack memorabilia and family portraiture hung from the walls: a framed black-and-white image of Barack Obama Sr., an image of Sasha and Malia Obama watering a seedling in front of a Masai tribesman while Barack snapped a picture, and an autographed poster from Barack's Illinois state Senate campaign, signed, "Mama Sarah: Habari! And Love."

"Barack is a good listener," Mama Sarah told me. "He is somebody who pays attention to the plight of people. With those kinds of attributes, I think he will be in a better position to sort out the problems that are bedeviling the world. I think he's got all it takes to be a world leader." Clearly reining in her normally spontaneous personality, Mama Sarah was proud and on-message: "We are leaving everything to God. We know it's been a long wait, and, God willing, we hope that everything is going to be OK."

The day before, in Kisumu, I was talking about Obama to a boatman on Lake Victoria when a nearby car radio blared the following judgment: "God has already chosen Obama on Nov. 4! Who are you to say no?" Nowhere in Kenya - perhaps nowhere in the world outside of blue-state America - is there more optimism about an Obama victory as in Kisumu, a predominantly Luo city on Kenya 's western border with Uganda, which still bears the scars of last winter's election violence. Indeed, the widely held fear that vote-rigging on Nov. 4 could snatch the election from Obama reflects the lingering sentiment among Luos here that Kenya's tainted presidential election - in which Odinga officially lost to Mwai Kibaki - was stolen from them. I've been asked several times, "Do you think John McCain can steal the votes?"

Obama's likeness appears on watch faces, key chains, posters, T-shirts, calendars, and women's shoes. Hawkers offer CDs of Obama-inspired reggae and Luo songs in the open-air bus depot. Mockups of $1,000 bills with Obama's portrait filling the oval are plastered on public minivans. ("I just asked the designer to pimp the van, and it came back like this," the driver told me.) A generation of newborns named "Obama" are entering the world. A schoolteacher in a local village says her students sing Obama songs: "He is a genius/ He is a hero/ He comes all the way from Africa/ To go compete in the land of the whites/ He makes us proud/ For at least he's made Africa known to the world." The campaign 8,000 miles away has been closely observed. When I arrived in town, my tuk-tuk driver offered punditry of the third debate: "For the first 20 minutes, it was competitive and McCain was good, but then Obama was much smarter."

Daniel Otieno, the local bureau chief of Kenya's the Nation newspaper, believes the fierce partisanship is a legacy of the area's early bullfighting days, when Luo clans rallied behind their favored bull. "Barack Obama is their bull," he says, adding that "a victory on Nov. 4 will be felt as a consolation for the Kenyan election." Bundled with that pride is an exaggerated expectation that Obama will support Kenya, and especially the Kisumu area, currently crippled by the country's highest incidence of HIV/AIDS. Unemployment here is rampant, and many of the young and jobless I spoke with believe an Obama presidency will directly improve their lives - a belief that I hope does not turn into resentment if and when they are disappointed.

While the TV cameras rolled in front of Mama Sarah's home, Prime Minister Odinga attempted to temper these expectations. "Kenyans know that Barack will be first and foremost the president of the United States of America, not a Kenyan president in the United States." He added, "Under an Obama presidency, trade and investment between Kenya and the United States will increase. Kenyans hope that there will be more scope for cooperation. We also think that Africa will get more attention than it has received in the past."

With that, Odinga and Mama Sarah walked toward the car that would drive the prime minister to his helicopter. He was a step ahead of her, and just as it seemed he was about to get into the car, a reporter reminded him that Mama Sarah was behind him, anticipating a goodbye. Odinga turned, offered a warm and genuine embrace, and then drove out of the compound.

The villagers dissipated, the reporters disassembled their tripods and climbed into SUVs, and Mama Sarah headed toward the house. Said called out, "Intercept her!" Then he led her by the arm to a waiting chair in the shade of an avocado tree, where a Canadian TV crew was setting up for an interview.

Re: the scriptural command to submit to the governing authorities

Dear Dr. So-and-So on the ray-dee-oh,

Your intelligent messages quite often find disagreement in this quarter. But they make me wiser by requiring me to compose my thoughts into cogent arguments to counter your assertions.

Your attack on Christians' political activism seems, to me at least, to run afoul of the Lord's command to "Render unto Cæsar the things which are Cæsar's, and unto God the things which are God's." We are to be involved in the temporal human government, just as we are subjects of the King in the Kingdom of God. Recall that 52 of the 55 signers of the Declaration of Independence were Christian believers who trusted in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins and for eternal life.

Jesus taught us to pray, "Our Father... Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." We are to be salt and light in a decaying and darkened world. But as Vance Habner said, "If America's Christians are salt and light, why is America so corrupt and dark?"

In the U.S., the ultimate (temporal) governing authority is supposed to be the U.S. Constitution, not Washington, D.C., the government, the President, the Congress, the courts, the military, the church, the family, or even a democracy of We the People. All government officials and military personnel are sworn to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic." On our money, George Washington represents the Constitution, not Washington, D.C., even though presidents in the past 20 years have not followed his example.

(To anyone looking for a reason to rumble: you are in the wrong discussion group and need to leave.)

We are not revolutionaries plotting armed revolt or insurrection against the government. We submit to the legitimate government legitimately exercising legitimate authority. We profoundly support and defend the authority of government in the United States - the U.S. Constitution - against those government agents who have gutted it and perjured their oaths to defend it. Should such rogue government agents persecute us or prosecute us for our adherence to the U.S. Constitution above mob rule and "might makes right," we will have to pay the consequences, go to jail, or even go to the FEMA camps for "reeducation" or execution. May God help us to be as strong and courageous as the patriots of old and the Iranian dissenters dying in the streets of Tehran.

If Christians do not stand up for the First Amendment guarantee of freedom of religion, who will? The Anti-Christian Lawyers Union? Consider who had to come to our rescue and stand up against the secular government's latest encroachment in California last week.

Who will stand up to the homosexuals at their annual day of debauchery in Philadelphia now that Michael Marcavage is under such intense scrutiny? Maybe the Women's Christian Temperance Union... no, they can't do it, they are Christians, too.

Who will stand up against the American holocaust now that a proponent of infanticide is signing the bills in the Oval Office? Perhaps the Hippocratic oath will compel the altruistic AMA to stand in the gap.

Who will protect us from the brownshirt brigades after they confiscate our weapons in the name of making us safe? (Safe from whom? Ourselves?) After all, the Dept. of Homeland Security has already named returning war veterans, along with us, as potential terrorists; and current military indoctrination lists us as "low-level terrorists."

I don't smell burning flesh from the ovens yet, but I don't have to drive far to see an empty FEMA camp with razor wire facing inward.

After we pay all taxes required of us and submit to legitimately exercised government authority, wouldn't it be wise to use all available legal recourse, including legislation, litigation, petitions, and public assembly for the redress of grievances (protests), to keep Washington out of God's business? While there is still day, before the night comes?

The one reason I stand in the gap is to hinder the barbarians from overrunning the city set on a hill and destroying whatever opportunity remains to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the Truth. No such opportunity remains for me personally as an unemployed person. But there are still some open doors for proclaimers such as you. Or would you prefer that we do nothing to thwart the "Fairness Doctrine," which would effectively do away with Christian broadcasting? In the face of hate crime legislation such as S. 909, which has already passed the House as H.R. 1913, would you imply that we should not lift our voices, our signs, our telephones, and our keyboards against it?

Dust off the history books and study Martin Niemoller, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and the Confessing Church, especially about how they differed from Ludwig Müller, the "Reich Bishop" who supported Hitler.

Moses brought down Pharoah with just a staff in his hand and with himself in the Lord's hand. Elijah slew all of Jezebel's prophets of Baal, and if he hadn't been exhausted, he would have finished the job. Instead, he left that mopping up operation to Jehu and Elisha. Amos prophesied against the rulers of Israel, as did the other prophets. John the Baptist boldly and publicly indicted Herod Antipas (the third King Herod) for taking for himself his brother Philip's wife, the mother of Philip's heir. Jesus so despised Herod that He didn't even speak to him, much less lift His finger to do a miracle to convince Herod to subject himself to this Messiah-King, before it was eternally too late for Herod, the usurper-king of the Jews.

The tribulation saints of the future will surrender their heads rather than submit to the pseudo-messiah. That doesn't look like "submitting to the governing authorities." It looks more like "obeying God rather than men" when the governing authorities are opposing God by their malfeasance of governance.

I shudder to think of how you would do the word in Romans 13:1-7 and Titus 3:1, if you were to discover that your government had been overtaken by a foreign usurper who rendered fealty to Dar al-Is|am and submitted to the Mus|im authorities of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Kenya, Dearbornistan, Indonesia, Syria, and Iran; who implemented Marx's communist policies and nationalized America's banks, industries, private enterprise, and personal stockholdings; and who intentionally bankrupted the country so as to make it fall into the tender mercies of its creditors: China, OPEC, and the globalist financiers behind a future one-world government based in Olde Europe (Rev 13:1-8 ).

I do not expect you to believe that such a thing could ever happen here, but I do ask that you decide how you would act upon the word in such circumstances, should they ever come to pass before the tribulation and before the rapture of the saints.

A judge hearing one of the cases challenging Barack Obama's eligibility to be president has taken the unusual step of describing the dispute as a serious constitutional issue and further has begun adding letters of comment from the public to the court record.

Word of the action by U.S. Magistrate Judge Joel Schneider in Camden,
N.J., comes from attorney Mario Apuzzo, who is handling the Kerchner vs. Obama case.

Apuzzo filed his lawsuit in January on behalf of Charles F. Kerchner Jr., Lowell T. Patterson, Darrell James Lenormand and Donald H. Nelson Jr. Named as defendants are Barack Hussein Obama II, the U.S., Congress, the Senate, House of Representatives and former Vice President Dick Cheney along with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

The case focuses on the alleged failure in Congress to follow the Constitution. That document, the lawsuit states, "provides that Congress must fully qualify the candidate 'elected' by the Electoral College Electors."

The Constitution provides, the lawsuit said, "If the president-elect shall have failed to qualify, then the vice president elect shall act as president until a president shall have qualified."

"There existed significant public doubt and grievances from plaintiffs and other concerned Americans regarding Obama's eligibility to be president and defendants had the sworn duty to protect and preserve the Constitution and specifically under the 20th Amendment, Section 3, a Constitutional obligation to confirm whether Obama, once the electors elected him, was qualified," the case explained.

"Congress is the elected representative of the American people and the people speak and act through them," the lawsuit said.

The defendants "violated" the 20th Amendment by failing to assure that Obama meets the eligibility requirements," the lawsuit said.

Apuzzo told WND that while the judge recently granted the government extra time to line up defense counsel for the named defendants, his ruling described the issue as a serious constitutional question.

"Plaintiffs' complaint raises significant issues necessitating that the named defendants engage competent counsel to represent their interests. Given the high ranking positions of the defendants, the decision as to who will represent them in this case is not simple and straightforward," the judge said.

But as soon as attorneys are lined up, "the case will proceed expeditiously," he said.

The case has attracted numerous public comments directed at and delivered to the judge, who has started adding them to the case file, Apuzzo noted.

"It's unbelievable," he said. "The court put the letters on Pacer."

Pacer is a fee-based court website through which interested parties can research cases and their documentation.

"This is really strange," said the attorney, noting that judges typically do not accept or even acknowledge public commentary on cases that are pending before them.

"The point is the letters are there in the docket," he said.

WND has reported on dozens of legal challenges to Obama's status as a "natural born citizen." The Constitution, Article 2, Section 1, states, "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President."
