The bigger question is, why would temp ag workers need to bring their families with them?

The Senate could spring this on us at anytime, lets try to discourge them from bringing it to the floor at all!! I hate going trough that voting thing it causes my blood pressure to rise!!!

    From Numbers USA:
AgJOBS Amnesty Vote May Be Forthcoming[/b](October 26) Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) announced today that The Farm Bill Extension Act of 2007 (H.R. 2419) is likely to come up for debate on the Senate floor during the week of November 5. Recently, Leader Reid had promised to attempt to attach the AgJOBS amnesty for illegal farmworkers to the farm bill during floor consideration. Despite the pleas of some open borders senators to forgo debate of additional amnesties this year, it appears another major Senate battle may be in the works as early as next week. CongressDaily is reporting that Senate Agriculture Committee Chairman Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) will "resist" efforts to add AgJOBS to the farm bill...

Click here for more information on AgJOBS and actions you can take now to prevent this bill from coming to a vote next week.

Call your senators to urge them to oppose an AgJOBS amnesty amendment on the farm bill: 202-224-3121.

OK everyone, let's start calling on this. Remember, the AgJOBS amnesty would be much larger than the Dream Act amnesty, and, in terms of numbers, larger than the 1986 amnesty I believe. (Note, the list posted above is of open border co-sponsors of the AgJOBS. While we should still call them, you may want to start with other senators who apparently haven't made up their minds).

Preliminary info I've found so far:

    -Isakson: opposes AgJOBS
    -Alexander: "continually has opposed amnesty"
-Hutchison: "searching for middle ground" (note, I read a news story that said she opposes the amnesty in AgJOBS and is working on a guest worker program for farms)

    _________

CALL the Senate: NO AgJOBS Amnesty !

Good morning everyone. We can do this again. Each time they try another amnesty, we pick up more people for our cause.

Listed below are excerpts from the AgJobs bill, accompanied by a few talking points to use when contacting senators. Please add your thoughts so we can compile a huge list to really hammer them!
