The Independent vote is what we really need to be concerned about. Even though Democrats can vote in the GOP primary, they're probably less likely to do so than Independents. And if that Democratic mischief-making campaign actually garners much support, it might well benefit Romney.

Romney will win the Michigan Republican vote.

Romney will defeat McCain among conservative voters.
