I find it offensive, so do you think they will take it down now? I have sent my emails to them and forwarded the article to our mailing list. I certainly hope that we get some action. Hey William, a bit of Irony, I first learned of ALIPAC from a clear channel station.

Only place I have seen the South of the Border signs is around I95 near Lumberton.
I have not seen any of them in the Wilmington area that I can recall.
If I can find out where this sign is I will take a picture of it.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Way too far
Good morning from still "sunny So. California, USA"
As a non mexican Hispanic resident of So. California, this billboard is double insulting to me. Not only it insults our country but those of us who are not of Mexican heritage.
Both my husband's and my family are imigrants to this great country of ours, both our families patiently waited our turn to enter legally, we have strived to create a good life and make law abiding citizens of our children. While we both are proud of our heritage (he's Austrian, I am Cuban) we are proud to be citizens of the GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD.
I am definitely contacting the radio station (no problem with the language there) and Clear Channel and all of our elected representatives.

The station has confirmed that the billboard is theirs, but they wouldn’t tell us who put it up although it is for their show. This is the number that we called was 951-682-5722 found at www.inlandnewstoday.com/media.html They said they have been getting a lot of calls regarding the billboard. Keep up the good work and let them know how you feel about it.

Update, confirmed, talked to station
Again I called the station in LA, channel 62.
I spoke with the Programing Director, Miguel Benhohian (not sure the spelling on the last name). He spoke English with a faint accent so we could clearly understand eachother.
I asked for confirmation and he said yes, that is a billboard that they have paid and advertising agency to create and promote their station. He said he wasn't directly responsible for the sign since that is the marketing department. I confirmed the text on the billboard is what it says (ie. the your city and the crossed out CA with Mexico).
He wasn't apologetic but he wasn't rude either. I expressed my feelings to him on how I was upset and that I felt it offensive. He understood. I asked if I could speak with the marketing group and he said that he would bring up my concerns at their next meeting of the management team (which happens every two weeks).
I also mentioned to him that I felt this would be like the US labeling Baghdad as Baghdad, USA. He again understood.
He said I was the first call to the station that he has received. Perhaps others have called but it seems like I may be the only one because the receptionist that transferred me knew me right off when I said I was calling about the sign.
I think we can count this confirmed. Now what happens?
