My point: She is the daughter of Mrs. Christian conservative, running for VP of America. Personally, I think its a disgrace whether anybody else does or not, doesn't matter to me. My son is 19, no kids, or pregnant girlfriend. He's a sophomore in college on scholarship, majoring in economics. If he got a 17 y/o girl pregnant I'd be livid.
But that's just my morals and opinion. It's Time to Rescind the 14th Amendment

Well, in answer to some of the comments here, I don't believe anyone has reported, or has Governor Palin even stated she is running as a perfect wife and mother with morals above others. And I didn't hear anywhere that Palin's daughter is being forced to have the baby and get married. Personally, I think before anyone passes judgement on the Governor because she's a conservative, they need to look at the questionable morality of the liberal left. WhatMattersMost states that it's nobody's business if someone has an abortion, is gay, etc, but is really fast to criticize this young woman's choice to have her child and get married. You're awful quick to pass judgement on her and her family, and in the same breath say you don't feel it's okay to pass judgement on anyone else for their behavior. Governor Palin's daughter being pregnant has no more to do with Palin's ability as VP, than does a lot of the sins of the liberal left have to do with their ability to hold office. You can't have it both ways.

We are all types here. The ONLY thing we have to agree on is illegal immigration.
We are eating our own today because we are so darn frustrated with our politicains, of all the parties.
We will never agree on everything everyone says, even if we like them.
We seem to be pissed off at at least one poster today!
Things are getting so bad out there and we have no one to vote for really. LOL
I surprised to have such lively conversations on a holiday.
I hope Lou Dobbs is fired up too! Thanks for the rumble you guys, I'm totally worn out. Lou better be on?If Palestine puts down their guns, there will be peace.
If Israel puts down their guns there will be no more Israel.

Children in this society are being sexualized at earlier and earlier ages thanks to Hollywood, the record, video games and TV industries. Parents have been in a constant battle in this country to try and preserve the innocence of childhood for their children for over 20 years, but the "sex sells" mentality of the corporations who have a stranglehold on every level of our lives makes our resistance almost futile. It's out of control and access to sexually explicit material has been made all too easy.
All I'm trying to say is, a 17 year old pregnant female in this society isn't anything new these days other than they don't try to hide it anymore and many of them don't take full responsibility for it as was done back in the early 60's clear back into the 1930's and beyond.
Back then the pregnancies were for the most part "accidental" from ignorance, but just this past year we've seen scores of 17 year olds and younger getting pregnant on purpose, now days NOT TO TRAP a boy into marrying, but just to do it and have a baby to "love."
It's not always a good route to take for a 17 year old to get pregnant and locked into a marriage so young, but if and when they do try to take adult responsibility for it, I will at least give them the benefit of the doubt that they are trying to be adult about it and I will try to "support" that.
We as a nation have allowed big businesses to take our chiildren's innocence away, by allowing raunchy movies, video games, TV shows and song lyrics to slither their way into our everyday lives. Unless you are with your child every single second of their daily lives, there is no possible way you're going to completely shield them from the temptations that are out there EVERY WHERE!.
.
I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.
~Thomas Jefferson (1743 - 1826)

"WhatMattersMost"
McCain who is by no means intelligent and is running on one issue, his captivity in Viet Nam which by no means qualifies him to get us out of this mess.
"zeezil"
Jimmy Carter - the worst president in the history of the country at any point of any time.
The difference as I see it is that the Dems don't run their whole campaign on morals like Conservative do. IMHO
Also, in your "list," there are only 3 that count after Jesse Jackson. The rest are bogus to have on the list as they are "unknown" to most.
I'm sure anyone could come up with a list of Dems and Independents too. It's kind of childish.
It does speak volumes of your defenseness of your party. I assume it's because of Bush and how bad he has done. Oh, I forgot all the criminals under him! That would be the top 5 people. It would be hard to defend the current regime. BUT there is a difference between someone who does something human/immoral, and someone who is just plain evil...If Palestine puts down their guns, there will be peace.
If Israel puts down their guns there will be no more Israel.
